Highly experienced operator who made the big 5 possible and trip unforgettable
5/5

We had an unforgettable 5 day experience for our honeymoon - the whole trip was effortless - Ozon took care of everything from the moment we landed until we departed. Our tour guide was Albert who was incredible and we were incredibly lucky to have him as he was able to make sure we got to see the big 5 - he had been doing it for 8/9 years and lived in the serengeti for a year.

I can’t stress enough for those looking to do a safari that seeing the big 5 is not guaranteed and the difference between seeing all of them or not is an experienced tour guide. Most of the other groups we had run into at the camps and ballooning had only seen up to 3. So if you do get the opportunity and you are booking through Ozon, request Albert

For the tour, the accomodation was very nice, it was like a luxury glamping with tent hotels with your own shower and bathroom. The food was good, mainly buffet breakfasts and dinners at your accomodation and then the kitchen will pack your lunch for you everyday. The Jeeps have powered eskys for water and softdrink throughout the day aswell.

The overall value for money was quite good - it is all inclusive and really the biggest expense was the actual Balloon ride, which is Ozon will organise for you but is done through an external company in the Serengeti.

Unbelievable! Ndutu may be the best kept secret in Tanzania.
5/5

Truly remarkable!! Ndutu Green Explorers may be the best kept secret in Tanzania. We booked a 6 day safari for our honeymoon and our guide Gilbert ensured it was a trip of a lifetime.

We spent countless hours researching tour companies. Let me save you some time - Book Ndutu and ask for Gilbert. They are a smaller, locally owned and operated company that goes the extra mile to make sure you see as much as possible and are taken care of, which isn’t the case with some of the bigger companies. (I booked with a top rated tour company the previous time I visited the Serengeti) We also got quotes from some of the bigger top rated companies and they were 25%-50% more expensive for the same itinerary and accommodations not as nice. The communication with Tom planning our safari was great. He was extremely responsive and patient with us, making multiple itineraries and quotes until we found the perfect one. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Ndutu!!

Highlights from our safari:
Tangerie ->Ngorongo-> Central Serengeti -> Northern Serengeti -> Central Serengeti.

- Big 5 ✅
- black rhino
- 27 lions
- 4 leopards
- 6 cheetahs
- Great migration crossing the Mara River
- hundreds of elephants
- hundreds of water buffalo
- hundreds of giraffes

With the exception of the rhino, we were within a foot of all these animals courtesy of our guide Gilbert who has over 10 years of experience guiding in the Serengeti.

Absolutely incredible experience!!

Incredible service, superb Safari
5/5

We researched where we wanted to go and what we wanted to try and see, then started looking at operators who offered what we wanted in our budget. This trip was a dream 40 years in the making, and we felt good about the contact, responsiveness and personalisation offered by Laxa Trails Safari.
The staff accommodated our desired itinerary, and our dietary requirements were met. When we arrived in Nairobi Dennis and Ben picked us up from our hotel and we had the best welcome. Dennis went over the admin with us then we set off for our 4 day adventure with Ben. Honestly, we can't recommend these guys enough. Ben was kind, interesting, fun and knowledgeable and really cares about the animals. He is a skilled driver and shared so much with us on our time on the road and in the parks, not only about the wildlife, but we had great conversations about life in general.
The tours were incredible. We saw all the animals we had hoped to see and so much more.
The accommodation options were comfortable, clean and lovely. We had an incredible experience and will definitely be booking with them again next time. 100% recommend.
We did 4 day private tour of Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. Outstanding.

Absolutely Incredible
5/5

Our 6 day safari was amazing! Our guide Gilbert has 10 years experience and it shows. He was able to find us EVERY animal we asked to see multiple times and his knowledge of both the Serengeti and animal behaviours put us in prime positioning for some of the most incredible experiences (elephants crossings in front of your vehicle, leopards jumping in and out of trees, wildebeest crossing the Mara). Every morning I would I say what I wanted to see and boom, we’d see it before lunchtime (always with the disclaimer this is nature and it might not happen).

The places we stayed were incredible as well. Friends and Sero lodge has the most amazing staff, food, service, and accommodation. You are truly well looked after when you are there. I had reservations about the idea of camping in the Serengeti but this exceeded expectations.

If you’re reading reviews worrying about the fact that they’re not no. 1 on trip advisor rest assured it’s because they are a local (smaller) company and in this case it is better. Our guide went to WORK for us making it everything we could have wanted and more.

Truly mind blowing week!

I should mention if you are not planning on watching a river crossing you definitely don’t need 6 days. 3-4 would be enough.

Book with Ndutu, and ask for Gil!

They really did their best to ensure we have the best experience possible. Organized great accommodation and an even better guide/driver with more than 10 years of experience which really helped finding all the animals we wanted to see!
