But what made this journey truly exceptional were our incredible guides, Rudolf and Ahadi. Their knowledge, passion, and respect for the environment and the chimpanzees made every moment meaningful.
The absolute highlight was when Tanga, one of the chimpanzees, calmly approached me in the forest. It was surreal, emotional, and deeply humbling — a moment that reminded me why I travel: to connect with the world in ways that go far beyond words.
In just 48 hours, I experienced awe-inspiring hikes, intimate wildlife encounters, and landscapes that felt like scenes from a documentary. It’s no wonder Jane Goodall dedicated her life to this place.

He is hands-down the best; incredibly experienced, well-informed, and the most accommodating we have had in anyplace, anywhere. What sets Bariki apart from all other guides is not only his in-depth knowledge about animals, birds but also his amazing instincts about places to go and truck positioning for the best views and sights. He is an incredible driver and set us up in perfect spots for great photos and experiences. Thanks to his exceptional skills, we even spotted several rare animals and birds. From a booking perspective, Gosheni (our booking manager was Maliwaza) had great communication and made us feel welcomed and special, especially because some of our party had allergies. They did everything to make our Tour to as beautiful as possible.
We were on a 4 day safari in Serengeti and Ngrorongoro and were really happy with this organization! It was crazy to see that the guide (Hebron) we had did everything he could to make our time as comfortable and nice as possible, a really accommodating guy that could also answer every question we had about Tanzanian nature and culture. I was on another Safari with a different organization and was therefore able to see the difference that a good organization and kind guides can make. I can only say you cannot take this quality for granted! This is probably also because Making Memories in Africa is a local company and the guides are still personally picked. The chef (Joaquin aka Mr. Delicious) that came with was also crazy good! He really lived up to his name:D My girlfriend is vegan and even though this is not really a thing in Tanzania, the chef went out his way and loved to cook vegan meals 3 times a day for her, with extra meat next to it for the rest of us. He even made vegan pancakes! We were all around very content and can only recommend this company and the guide/chef, that were smiling 24 hours a day!
P.S. I also did a Kilimanjaro climb with this company and everything was perfect there, too!

Great advice and followed everything up.
We booked with Safari365 after speaking with Clive one of the consultants, we had looked at different companies but after speaking with Clive we are very glad we decided to go with them.
We wanted to travel to the Okavango Delta and they suggested 2 lodges in different areas, their suggestions were perfect for us. We dealt with Clive and Trevor who were very helpful with advice and organized everything perfectly, the transfers from remote airstrips all were done without a hitch.
They also organized tours for us in Cape Town and Johannesburg at the start and end of our trip which were great.

Safari to Ivory lodge
Brian was unbelievable we have never been on safari before and we’re nervous Brian arranged everything transportation from Victoria Falls to the lodge and to the airport. Everything he told us was an understatement we were blown away and will definitely use Brian again. We can’t say enough about Brian and Ivory lodge.

Our agent Heidi Bedford took care of us from our first big broad "we want to do it all" correspondence, through discussions to make the trip reasonable for foot and wallet, all the way to our last post trip correspondence in search of some expense data. Our group included three couples living in two countries and three very spread out time zones. That never seemed to matter. Heidi's advice and cajoling skills were helpful and spot-on, and her calm and efficient approach assuring. She did it all, including a last minute tour shift, when mine and my wife's flight from the U.S. was delayed a day - shifting the planned tour seamlessly to another day.
For a sense of the mammoth task of coordinating three couples, let me share all of the touch points of this amazing holiday. Our trip included a stay and tours in Cape Town, safari at the Simbavati River Lodge, safari at Arathusa Lodge, Johannesburg, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, a river safari on Chobe River in Botswana, and a first class visit to Franschhoek. Heidi handle the connecting flights, ground transportation, and more. She helped book a last minute helicopter ride over Vic Falls. Did we see the Big Five? Yes, yes, yes and so much more. Also important on a trip of this magnitude are the contractors connected with Pembury. First, they were just great people. Specifically - they were ALWAYS on-time, efficient, knowledgeable, and fun people who love their country and are excited to share it - with story telling skill.
I simply cannot recommend Pembury Tours and Heidi more fervently. I hope that you contact them immediately. You will not regret it.
One additional note: Our friends traveling with us from Ireland shared Pembury's itinerary and costs with their long-time Irish travel agent. Our friends told us that their agent couldn't touch what was offered or the come close to the price.

Amazing safari!
We spent a week on a safari in Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Tarangire parks and are in awe of the nature, but especially of our guide who shared so much details, found the best spots to see animals, was fun to be with and an amazing driver on the challenging roads inside the parks as well as outside. Trip of a lifetime
Ann planned such an amazing trip for our group! Every detail (planned or unplanned) was handled with efficiency. I had Ben as my guide and was so impressed with the knowledge and skill he showed getting us to the right spot for the views of all the animals. I kept thinking nothing could top the previous day...how delightfully wrong I was!
