Each park offered something completely different, which made the itinerary feel very well balanced. The Maasai Mara National Reserve was definitely the highlight and the main reason to do this trip, but both Nakuru and Naivasha added their own unique landscapes and wildlife experiences.
The 5-day format is highly recommended. It not only increases the chances of seeing a wide range of animals, but also gives you time to enjoy the stunning Kenyan countryside along the way, which is an experience in itself.
