A Once in a Lifetime 15 Day Safari Through Tanzania and Kenya
5/5

Our 15-day safari across Tanzania and Kenya, organised by Elias and Anna, was absolutely incredible. From the start, they made everything so easy quick to respond, always helpful, and completely organised. We felt cared for the entire time.

We visited Northern Tanzania, Amboseli, Nakuru, and Maasai Mara, staying in comfortable lodges and travelling in new, smooth vehicles. Every day was full of amazing wildlife. We saw lions resting and hunting, elephants roaming Amboseli, cheetahs sprinting across the plains, leopards in the trees, rhinos grazing in Nakuru, and buffalo wandering in the Serengeti. The lakes were stunning, full of birds, flamingos, and reflections perfect for photos.

Meeting the Maasai was a highlight. Their traditions, friendliness, and stories made us feel connected to the culture. Our guides, Charles in Tanzania and Peter in Kenya, were fantastic. They knew exactly where to find wildlife, explained fascinating animal behavior, and gave us tips to capture great photos. Watching animals in action and snapping pictures while being guided by such experts made every game drive unforgettable.

This safari balanced luxury, adventure, and culture perfectly. It was not just a trip, but an emotional and truly memorable experience. Thanks to Elias and Anna, everything ran smoothly and felt effortless. If you want to see the Big Five, amazing birds, stunning landscapes, and Maasai culture all while getting fantastic photos this is the safari to take.

The tour was magical, Susan and her team were the perfect host, well organised. We had a really good time. Our guide and driver David had all the knowledge of the jungle.
Tropical wildlife team is the best brand to go with while visiting Kenya especially Masai Mara.

The daytrip to Lake Naivasha was perfectly planned! We got to see everything we wanted:)
5/5

We got picked up right on time for the day trip to Hells Gate and Lake Naivasha, and our nice guide Martin, drove us safely in a safari Jeep. The morning bike ride in Hells gate was so cool, we biked 18 km and got close to zebras, giraffes and antilopes. We biked to a lovely viewpoint and Walked in the gorge which inspired the lion king. The lunch spot was calm and nice. The boat ride and nature walk was 10/10. got real close to hippos. Thank you form Kathrine and Emily

Unforgettable
5/5

We had a truly memorable safari with Exaudy and his team!

From start to finish, everything was well organized and communication was smooth and reliable. They were always punctual and made us feel safe throughout the trip. They also shared a great deal of knowledge about the wildlife, local culture, landscapes, and the places we visited, which made the experience even more pleasant.

Exaudy and his team were not only professional, but also kind and pleasant to travel with, which made the experience even better. We had so much fun together! Thanks to them, we made memories that will last a lifetime. We were even fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five in just two days!

I highly recommend Utukufu Travels for a high-quality and rewarding safari experience!

Perfect
5/5

We booked our safari directly through their website, and the communication was excellent. We did a 3-day safari and had Johnny Jackson as our driver and guide. He was great at driving and guiding, and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the trip.

I would definitely recommend Jungle Roam and Johnny as a driver and guide.

Truly Unforgettable Trips
5/5

The Ethiopian Expedition Team made our 15-day trip to Ethiopia truly unforgettable. We explored the historic north, including the Simien Mountains and the Gheralta churches, as well as the Danakil Depression and the culturally diverse Omo Valley.

Everything was well organized from start to finish. Communication was smooth and timely, and our drivers and guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, both with us and with the local communities. We highly recommend this company to anyone planning a trip to Ethiopia.

An incredible safari experience, but serious organizational issues behind the scenes
3/5

I feel obligated to share this experience to ensure transparency for future travelers.

I am giving this experience 3 stars, mainly because our guide was truly excellent and because the safari experience itself is absolutely a once in a lifetime must do.

I chose Destiny Explorer in order to support a local safari operator, despite having read prior reviews mentioning concerns about vehicle condition and maintenance.

Six months after paying our deposit, Issa informed us that our first night at Africa Safari Arusha was no longer available and had to be changed. This information was incorrect. I personally contacted the hotel and confirmed that availability existed, including shortly before our arrival. Instead, we were relocated to Parrot Hotel, which was in extremely poor condition. The property was very run down, many things were broken or poorly repaired, and the air conditioning leaked directly onto our suitcase overnight. We were also the only guests at the hotel, which felt uncomfortable.

Upon arrival, a representative of the company demanded an additional 600 USD, explaining that a calculation error had been made after the deposit. While the mistake was indeed theirs, Issa refused to accept payment by credit card and offered no alternative solutions. I was told to withdraw cash from an ATM. Due to withdrawal limits, I had to make multiple transactions in local currency and exchange it to USD, resulting in additional fees and exchange losses of approximately 75 USD. This was handled in a very unprofessional manner.

The safari vehicle itself was old and poorly maintained, with over 150,000 km on the odometer and smaller windows than standard safari vehicles. Compared to other groups we encountered, our vehicle was clearly inferior, which raised concerns from the beginning.

Unfortunately, on day five, the vehicle broke down. We lost the entire afternoon of day five and all of day six. During this time, we received little to no clear information and were moved between locations by individuals we did not know. On the evening of day six, around 8:00 pm, we still did not know whether our final day at Ngorongoro would take place. This caused significant stress and uncertainty.

We had been previously assured that in the event of a breakdown, a replacement vehicle would be provided. That did not happen. Although a replacement part was eventually flown in and our guide rejoined us during the night, the situation was handled in a disorganized and amateur manner.

I later requested a partial prorated refund for the lost safari time on the afternoon of day five and the entirety of day six. To this day, I have received no response.

If you choose this operator, be aware that in the event of mechanical issues, you may be left without support or clear communication. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company.
