About: Kenya
Beautiful country with many animals
Overall rating
4/5

Kenya is a very beautiful country with many animals. We were able to spot many animals and had a great experience. The guides keep each other informed where the wild animals can be found. It is definitely recommended to do this with a guide because Masai Mara is very large. We stayed in a lodge just outside the NP and that was a super nice lodge. Kenya definitely worth going to.

Review about Masai Mara National Reserve by Marcel de Bruin

The largest park we have visited. We were here for 3 days and had a lodge close to the park, which was very pleasant and easy to do. The guides have contact with each other and therefore know where the predators are and can drive there. Seen many birds. Definitely worth going.

4/5

The driver/ guide, John, is nice and helpful. He arrived on line and did help accommodate our request, even when we asked for change in itinerary.

Well organized and friendly service
4/5

I am overall happy with the service by Lenchada. Quick response on the emails, friendly service, good organization, I can list many things.

I selected an economic 6 day tour, which I think the difference is basically the accommodation. Though things are not prefer as in 4 or 5 star hotels, the friendly and hospital service at Masai Mara/Amboseli camp accommodation exceeded my expectations.
I am also happy that the driver made all his effort to guid us through and I am happy that I was able to see all big 5 and spectacular view of Kilimanjaro. I surely recommend this tour when I return back.

Very good experience
4/5

we did a 6 day safari with Dennis, which was amazing. very attentive to our needs, he explained and told us every aspect of this wonderful country. We had a great time with him, I would recommend him to anyone! as for the camps, you have to know how to adapt, there is no shortage of insects and cleanliness is not a must.

Professional and very welcoming

We had an amazing experience with Vivasafaris. From the beginning, we appreciated Patti’s availability and reactivity in all communications (emails / WhatsApp) and for tailoring a 4-day tour of great value for our family. Transfer from Johannesburg to Tremisana Lodge was on board of comfortable buses with very helpful drivers. We enjoyed the stays at Tremisana and Katekani luxury lodges with very kind staff. We had very skilled and experienced guides with us in the parks for game drives and bush walks. They were all funny too. (I don’t know if this is part of their training). All big five were seen. We were fortunate to meet a leopard just near the lodge at Tremisana. We saw a cheetah and were very close to a Casper in Kruger.
My family and I enjoyed so much this experience. The animals didn’t seem much bothered by visitors and they were kind enough to let us take beautiful pictures ;-)
Vivasafaris also helped us organizing visits in Johannesburg with a tour operator, which was very much appreciated, especially for us, traveling to South Africa for our very first time.

Very kind and friendly

The were very puntual. The safari was great!. The food was very poor (a very little hamburger whit 5 chips).
When we was going back, the car broked down. We wait 20 minutes in the road and another tour guide picked up us and dropped off in our hotel.
We recommend this tour!

Great company, great organisation
4/5

The organisation around the tour is fantastic. The team that coordinates the tours, answer to emails and book the accommodations are incredible. They reply fast, they organize the tour according to your desires and they book accommodations that are luxurious, intimate and where you will be able to rest peacefully.

The different national parks are also incredible. We saw many animals and the experience was great. However, you have to be informed that the road in Tanzania are really difficult, especially to go to Serengeti. It is bumpy and really far so you may take that in consideration when choosing the duration of the tour. We chose 5 days, and I would have preferred to take 6 days to separate the driving time and have more time to enjoy the accommodations.

The only reason why I have to put a lower rate on this tour is because of our guide. Everyday, he was late, was spending a lot of time on his cellphone during lunch/diner (when we were eating together) and we was not precise on the organization of toilets/water/driving distance etc. Also, he seemed not aware that we had book a modified tour, which would make us uncertain at different time during the safari. We felt that we had to specify our needs really often. Also, he would always stop on the road during the safaris to talk with other guides (during several minutes).
