We think we got scammed by this Southern Dynastie Safaries, so be careful if you book with them
We booked with Southern Dynastie Safaris (SDS) 6 months in advance a 4 day fly-in safari to Okawango Delta to a lodge in the heart of Moremi Game Park for a lot of money. However, Southern Dynastie Safari did not book us on the booked lodge butalready 5 month ago into a cheaper lodge with less quality outside of Moremi Game Park. If you have ever been to Okawango Delta, this is quite a difference in landscape, experience and quality.
SDS (especially Collins) did not tell us for six month that they booked us knowingly on a different lodge. They suggested all the past five month, everything is as plannend. On the Airstrip in Maun we were informed by the pilot of the plane that we are not going to the booked lodge but to a different lodge outside of Moremi.
No communication at all by SDS, no explanation, no apology, no refund of price difference. So we would just warn everybody booking with SDS that you might not get what you booked and paid for.

Will Lane was the most professional and accommodating travel agent I have ever worked with.
My wife and I and some friends booked a South Africa safari with another company but when we decided to to an add on before and after that adventure, that operator suggested I reach out to Will Lane at Jenman Safaris. We wanted to visit Cape Town before our safari and do something on the Indian Ocean after. Will gave us several options for lodging in the budget range I provided and made suggestions as to locales in the city. He also was helpful on currency rates and tips on dining and transportation as well arranging some tours to Cape point and the wine country. When we asked about our post safari visit to the Indian Ocean side of Africa, Will suggested Mozambique and the area around Vilanculos. He arranged a fantastic villa (at a discounted rate) and all of the transfers to and from the air port. All of his arrangements went flawlessly and he kept in touch through the entire trip when I had questions. I highly recommend Jenman Safaris for your travel plans

Local Control; local benefits
The tour organized by Global was excellent both in quality and value for money BUT the biggest reason EVERYONE should use them is because they use local properties (like accommodation owned and operated by the local cooperatives) and local guides and thus the money goes directly back into the community. The large international tour companies are within their own self-contained and owned lodges with NO benefit to the local residents hence they should be avoided. Note: the local properties, food and guides were excellent - much better than the imported tour guides.

Sello very good and fun
Very good value and learning learnt lots about soleto and all the areas around very eye opening amazing experience
Trustworthy and fun group for first time in Africa
This was our first time in Africa which made us a bit nervous about planning a safari and hike but we had the best time with Mirisho Expedition. They set up our Kilimanjaro summit which we accomplished and with great guides. We then did a safari with Samwely where not only did it make it fun and stress free, but we were able to see the big 5! The company always checked in on us to make sure we were having the best time and were always prepared. We can’t wait for our family and friends to experience the same 🫶

Megan, at Discover Africa, was truly attentive to creating a perfect, personalized itinerary.
Megan, at Discover Africa, planned the perfect trip for us and at a good value. The itinerary was personalized for where & when we wanted to go, what we wanted to see, and how long we wanted to stay. The lodges she recommended were fantastic! (Victoria & Alfred in Cape Town, Arathusa Safari Lodge in Sabi Sands, South Africa, Victoria Falls Lodge in Zimbabwe & Chobe Safari Lodge in Botswana) She arranged all the transfers between countries, lodges, and activities. The safari drives, sunset boat cruises, Victoria Falls tour, drum show, and private boat tours were amazing and everything ran smoothly. We saw so many animals and beautiful sites. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. Thank you Megan for answering our many questions, keeping us informed, not only throughout the planning process, but as we got closer to the trip & throughout our journey. Definitely use Discover Africa & especially Megan to plan the greatest adventure of your life!

Knows his job well, friendly, helpful, fun:)
From the first moment, we felt that we were taken to the safari in Dar es Salaam by a very professional and reliable company which is Connect African Safaris. This company also made us feel that it trusted us. Both the tour operator, the vehicle driver and even the safari driver were all very friendly towards us. Our every need was considered and organized. As a result, we had a very nice experience, I thank you very much on behalf of myself and my friend.

Unnecessary fear in advance
I did some research on the different tour operators for a safari in Uganda and noticed the amount of 5 star ratings Buyaga received. I was suspicious, did they buy those, or were they genuine?
It turns out that they are genuine, at least what our experience has proven. Like I read before, Peter the owner, is very quick with responding on emails and keeping track of what has been requested (before). When we made changes to the initial 10 day Uganda safari and wanted to add Rwanda to the tour and extending it with a couple of days, as I wanted to cycle there, we got a new itinerary within hours. Unfortunately, the hotel on the second day in Rwanda turned out to be below the requested quality, but this was resolved within a few hours and a new itinerary was created where we could avoid the second night in that hotel.
Then our guide Derrick. When we booked this trip, our first time we took a guide for such a period, we were afraid that being together with a stranger for 2 weeks would become uneasy and overwhelming. After 2 weeks we didn't have that feeling at all. Derrick has been the whole journey polite and positive towards us.
He was always on time and knew exactly at what time we would arrive somewhere.
He is not intrusive and does not impose himself. He felt when to keep a distance from us.
He's also been flexible, just like you, when we were not happy with the lodge in Gisenyi. Flexibility has also been shown yesterday when leaving Kigali and we wanted to visit the Rwanda Art museum first.
He's a good, safe driver. We never felt afraid, despite sometimes the high speed feeling you get in this giant Toyota Landcruiser.

super responsible and flexible planner, passionate and professional guide, highly recommend!
We are 2 female travellers from Hong Kong. We have compared multiple travel agencies plan and Paul was the most responsible that he almost replied within minutes if not longer and was super flexible to come up with a tailor made travel plan.
From pre trip communication, to airport pickup, to whole safari trip and lastly to citywalk and airport drop off, we were in such good hands and felt extremely comfortable all along.
Our guide, Victor, was very educational and professionally informative. He could basically answer on every questions you had from animals species / behaviour, landscapes and even history. He was also happy to share some of his personal life and stories. He was also very kind and caring! Despite being in the industry for more than 15 years, he remained his passion for this job which made him an excellent guide!
Hardware wise, safari jeep was in well condition. Even with the long hours of African massage, it still maintained its high function and seats are spacious and comfortable. The viewing window was big and clear enough for you to capture good shots of wild animals. We stayed in Sopa lodge for most of the stay, which was already a very luxurious hotel in our standard. It was very satisfying.
Itinerary wise, we have visited 4 national parks in a total of 6 full days for safari. Retrospective speaking, I think it was a little bit rush as interpark transfer takes 5-7 hours by car. Otherwise you may consider additional fee for local flight. Also, while masai village visit in Masai Mara was quite inspiring, we would highly recommend to enjoy a full day game drive instead. It is because Masai Mara was sooooo big that you could hardly go deep inside the park if you scheduled to village in the afternoon. With its excellent species diversity as well as magnificent Savanna landscape , we think its deserves more time for visit!
All in all, with our personal experience, we are confident to tell you that we highly recommend Ramble Africa Safaris. We are missing the amazing wildlifes in Africa already!! We hope you enjoy your Safari trip as much as we do!
