A FAMILY DREAM SAFARI IN KENYA
5/5

Last year, I went on an 8-day safari in Kenya with my wife and 3 kids, who weree visiting the country for the first time. After identifying three Kenya-based tour operators on the Internet and corresponding with them, we chose Across the wild tours and Safaris. Our itinerary was: Maasai Mara the Aberdares (Treetops)-Lake Nakuru.
The company tour operations manager Fina, was very helpful in answering all our questions and, unlike the other operators that we contacted, she was most willing to organize the trip in accordance with our wishes. A few days to our safari, we met Fina who personally came to meet us on our arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport Nairobi, she was happy to meet us and we had a little chat before and we felt at home with her presence with us.
She was indeed very welcoming and professional, which reassured us even more! Our accommodation – a mix of lodges, hotels and tents – was very good: the rooms were spacious and clean, the food was fresh and delicious, and staff made us feels very much at home.
The tour guide/driver, Amos, with whom we naturally spent most of the time, was always punctual, professional and helpful. As a good storyteller, he shared his deep knowledge of the wildlife, geography and people of the areas that we visited, and answered our many questions patiently. We saw the "big five" and many other creatures’ great and small and in the parks, he did not always follow the well-trodden path, so we often spotted an animal or situation that everyone was hoping for.
Amos would then radio the information to his fellow tour guides/drivers to share it with the other tourists. We are thankful to Across the wild tours and Safaris for enabling us to experience a most amazing safari! For my wife and kids, it was a life-changing introduction to the wild: from being extremely scared as we walked to our cottage from our lodge's dining area on our first evening in Samburu, to struggling to get back to his routine several weeks after the safari – because of all the wonderful memories!
We were also pleased that the choice of vehicle we took a land cruiser 4 X4 was in perfect condition and well maintained, this are some little things that built our confidence with the choice of the tour operator we selected that is Across the wild tours and Safaris and we wish them well for sure and once again we say thank you.
We are pleased to recommend this company to anyone wanting to go on a meaningful safari in Kenya.
Stephen.

Amazing Safaris in Kenya in Amboseli, Tsavo West and Nairobi National Park
5/5

We had an amazing time during our 5-days safaris in Amboseli, Tsavo West and Nairobi National Park.

Everything went very well, we could see many animal species (including all the big 5) and different landscapes. Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and passionate about the nature, as well as a good driver. We really enjoyed spending time with him and could not hope for a better one!

The communication with the agency was also clear and smooth; the schedule was according to the plan.

We therefore highly recommend this tour!

Incredible Journey with Kanyezi
5/5

Had been thinking about visiting South Africa for a long time and finally decided to make the trip with Kanyezi. I have to say first that I could not have made a better choice. From the day of arrival in Cape Town to our departure at Johannasburg, Kenyezi delivered on all that they had promised, guiding us on an adventure of a lifetime. Tours of Cape Town were fantastic and included a tour of the City, a visit to a Cheetah rescue facility, a penguin colony, a local market, a visit to a winery and trip to the Cape of Good Hope. The hotel we stayed at was first rate with more than one restaurant choice and beautiful African art in the lobby.

From Cape Town we headed up to the Sabi Sabi National Reserve for our Safari Adventure of a lifetime. We stayed at the Bush Lodge which was the most amazing and beautiful place with large suites, a watering hole, amazing staff and the best food. Try the local delicacies if your are an adventurous diner. If not, there are choices for all palates. We went on Safari twice a day for four hours at a time and as promised, got to see the Big Five on every day of this adventure, plus a couple of rare finds of a Cheetah that had just made a kill as well as a pack of wild dogs. There was also an opportunity to visit a local village to meet the people and included stops a school where all of the children were excited to meet us. Also included an optional chance to see a shaman, which to me was a hoot, and we also met a group of local women who invited us to dance with them as one of them played a drum for us. Was a wonderful day.

After the safari we chose to go to Zimbabwe to see Victoria Falls, the Seventh Wonder of the Natural World. We stayed in a very nice motel accomodation right on the Zambezi River and besides visiting the Falls we were treated to a great buffet style dinner where there were local drummers and dancers and we got to play along with drums that they passed out to people at the tables. On the second evening we took a cruise along the Zabezi River where we were treat to snacks and drinks and saw a family of hippos swimming across the river. An amazing site.

Thank you Chris, Chip and Manny for making this trip an adventure of a lifetime. We hope to join you again in the future. GO KANYEZI

A fantastic experience!
5/5

Steve is a great guide and his excellent knowledge of the wildlife (and birdlife) across East Africa is a massive help to a photographer such as myself. The service and accommodation throughout the 11 day safari was wonderful, with a particular highlight being the Elephant Bedroom at Samburu. Heartily recommended.

Highly committed staff, excellent customer service
5/5

I chose Zambezi out of several tour operators shortlisted because Laura was responsive and followed up with me closely in the 2 weeks leading up to my trip. My planned itinerary ran smoothly and the staff went the extra mile to ensure my land transfers and game drives went ahead, even though there was an ad-hoc change i.e. I requested for an afternoon game drive in Botswana to be changed to early morning. Laura and Oscar effected the change and also arranged the required transport to pick me from Botswana back to Zimbabwe. In addition, at the game drive in Zimbabwe, Norman waited patiently for me as the game drive ended an hour later than usual. The staff at Zambezi worked throughout the Christmas hols and were committed in ensuring I had a great safari experience. Thank you Laura, Norman and Oscar, you guys are awesome!

Fabulous intro to South Africa!
5/5

Everything was as expected. Our vacation was amazing from transfers to lodging to activities. We had one small hiccup with a transfer; I contacted Discover Africa via email and Alice was immediately digging into the problem and guaranteeing no more issues. Our 2 safari lodges were incredible. I would definitely use Discover Africa again!
