Simply amazing, truly unforgettable
We booked a two-day luxury honeymoon safari from Zanzibar to Tarangire and Ngorongoro with Akondo Adventures, and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
The booking process was super easy and Boris organised everything perfectly and gave us all the details we needed. Unfortunately there is an additional charge for card payment which meant an overall higher cost, but not a big issue. We were collected from our hotel in Zanzibar, took a short flight to Arusha, and were met by our amazing guide Richard, who looked after us for the full two days.
Richard was an excellent driver with immense knowledge of wildlife, birds, and plants. He spoke perfect English. He made sure we always had plenty of time for photos and did everything possible to help us spot as many animals as we could. The highlight for us was seeing a black rhino in Ngorongoro and witnessing two ostriches mating up close, quite the spectacle! We also saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, cougars, and so, so much more. He taught us so much about the Maasai people and life in Tanzania, and was such a pleasure to spend time with.
The hot picnic lunches were delicious, a tasty curry with side dishes, plus a selection of drinks. Richard made sure we were always comfortable and could stop for the WC whenever needed.
Our overnight stay at Escarpment Luxury Lodge was very special. The setting was breathtaking, the staff were so kind and attentive, and our lodge suite with its freestanding bath was stunning. The food was top-notch, and the evening Maasai entertainment made it even more special, the whole atmosphere was unforgettable.
This trip truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, yet we already want to come back to explore the Serengeti and luxury camping safari next time, and we wouldn’t choose anyone other than Akondo Adventures to guide us again!

Unforgettable
We spent three excellent days with this safari.
It was an unforgettable hope.
We were accompanied by our guide and our driver John who was able to teach us more about wildlife and was able to bring us as close as possible to the animals.
The discovery of the Masai tribe was an exceptional experience.

Lebo was the perfect guide
We picked Moafrika for the Humankind tour, because we liked their itinerary the best.
The cave tour was excellent and we were given all of the time we wanted to enjoy the museum there.
At Maropeng, we got stuck in a huge and noisy group, but Lebo was able to pull us away from them as soon as he could.
Maropeng is good for children. Lebo was extremely thoughtful, was a very intelligent conversationalist and a good driver.

Memorable Safari
It's hard to find the exact words that would aptly describe how incredible this trip was – the people, the country, and the wildlife were all amazing! Zayina helped organize the trip for my family and she did a perfect job. Our guide Shaban was with us throughout the safari, and we count ourselves lucky to have such a kind and outstanding guide. Shaban went out of his way to find all the animals we wanted, and in the end, he exceeded all our expectations. We encountered many different animals and the beautiful landscapes of the parks. We also visited the local tribes, where we experienced the rich Maasai and Hadzabe cultures. We were sad to leave Tanzania, as it had opened our hearts to the diverse beauty of Tanzania.

Honestly, our safari couldn’t have been more perfect! The team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we had the best experience possible. Everyone was super kind, attentive, and always paying attention to the little details that made the trip special.
We visited Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara, and everything was so well organized from start to finish. And when we said we wanted to go see the gorillas, they somehow arranged everything in Uganda for us too, it was incredible!
