Everything went very smoothly with excellent recommendations.
Very good contact with our agent and good travel details. Wonderful lodges and great personal animal experiences shared just between us and our guide. Our desert island experience on Fanjove was a perfect choice and we loved everything about it. All in all a perfect holiday experience with excellent hosts and guides.

We had a fantastic 5 days safari booked with Lion King Adventures and everything worked out perfect!
Booking with Lion King Adventures went very smothly and they lived up to our expectations al the way. All the accommodations also lived up to their standards, very clean, good food and friendly.
My favorite was Serengeti and the Heritage tent camp, with it's view.
Our safari guide Gilbert did his very best to get close and did not give up before we had spoted all the animals to see : ) Gilbert made us also feel safe during the way.

An extremely exciting, enjoyable vacation we will be talking about for years to come!
Rahab was very communicative and helpful during the planning stages of this vacation, and once all of the details were settled, she continued to answer any questions or concerns, and reached out as our travel dates neared. During the safari week, she would check in and make sure everything was going well, that we were happy with our accommodations, our driver, the schedule, etc. We were able to relax and enjoy this trip to the maximum because every detail was taken care of from the time we stepped off the airplane in Nairobi! Rahab, our driver, John, the accommodations, staff and experiences in Maasai Mara and Nakuru exceeded our expectations! Rahab ensured our vacation was absolutely magical! I can’t wait to go back to Kenya and I will definitely be using Rahab and her group to plan our return trip!

Top quality customer service with great experiences
Simon and his team did a superb job of making me feel welcome and taking care of my needs and queries. My 5 day trip was well organised and each activity delivered what was described. Chobe National Park is stunning and gentle cruises on the Zambezi and Chobe rivers were super relaxing despite the crocs and hippos!
African Beast arranged a croc cage dive for me which was amazing and gave me lots of useful advice and help including printing visas for me for later in my trip.
Great guys who I would highly recommend!

A gem
I lucked out with this one. I don't know if it's Discover Africa or its agent Matthys who is to credit, but the treatment I received was way beyond expectation. Matthys invested a lot of thought and effort in devising a month long trip and customizing it time and again by my comments. Prices were fair too.
I highly recommend them with no reservations whatsoever

Our trip to Hwange, Chobe and Vic falls was another fabulous, magical experience thanks to Tongesai
Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent in every way yet again as this is the second time we have used them. Tongesai Mtematsaka (Company Director) is very reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your experience a trip of a lifetime. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. We felt completely safe with him which was important to us as we had our 7 year old grand daughter with us.
Wildlife was in abundance numerous lions, hundreds of elephant and a leopard that we had been following as it was walking through the bush eventually came down and sat on the bank beside us! After posing for a few minutes for a photo shoot it got up and walked back up the bank - couldn't believe it.
I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia or Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again.

wonderfull Birding Safari in Zambia, Caprivi and Chobe with Nick Buys
This 2 weeks birds and mammals trip in Southern Africa was our second trip with Nick Buys. We have been already with him in Namibia 4 years ago in a very succesfull trip.
We visited South of Zambia (Nkanga River Conservation Area, South Kafue and Livingstone surroundings), the Caprivi Strip (Kwando River and Mahango Game Reserve) and Northern Botswana (Okavango Panhandle and northern Chobe).
The places we visited were wonderfull. We felt the privilege to be the only ones in the middle of the bush and his fauna in the very preserved Nanzhila Plains-Kafue National Park. We had excelent boat trips on Zambezi, Chobe, Okavango and Kwando Rivers. Sunsets were stuning !
We stayed in very confortable and peacefull lodgings were we could appreciate the magic of wild Africa.
This trip was focused on a list of possible life's firsts, for both birds and mammals. The lists was not so long, as we have been already in various trips in eastern and southern Africa. It consisted most of all in specialities and endemics, as Black-cheeked Lovebird, Schalow's Turaco, Pel's Fishing-owl, Bradfield's Hornbill, Chaplin's Barbet, African Broadbill, Miombo Tit, Copper Sunbird, Black-eared Seed-eater...
We managed to see more than 300 bird species, and almost all the possible species on our list that occurs in the area.
We only failed for 3 species of Miombo forest, certainly because of the severe drought that occured this year. Actually forests were very quite, and Nick had to work hard to find us some dificult birds in that conditions. On the other hand, and certainly because of the drought, this trip was very succesfull for small raptors as African Cuckoo-hawk, Lizard Buzzard, Western Banded Snake Eagle, African Goshawk, Ovambo Sparrowhawk, Little Sparrohawk, Eurasian Hobby, Dickinson's Kestrel... We had excellent sightings of a Lanner hunting a Cape Turtle Dove, a Dickinson's Kestrel drinking at a watter hole and a pair of Little Sparrohawks breeding.
Mammals sightings were also great, with 45 species.
The best was the day spent with a troup of 21 Wild Dogs in Kafue (10 adults and 11 puppies) : they spent the day resting and playing at the side of a water hole in the company of many herbivores (surprisingly very relaxed) and birds who came to drink, including Black-cheeked Lovebirds. At the end of the afternoon, we could follow them one hour hunting in the bush. At the end, we didn't see them catching anything, but a pair of breeding leopards managed to catch an impala that was runing away from the Wild Dogs !
Thanks to some night drives and night walks, we also had a good selection of nocturnal mammals, with 2 species of Galago, Common Genet, African Civet, Bush Pig, South African Porcupine...
We want to thank Nick warmly for this trip. Again we really appreciated his cualities as a guide, his profesionalism, his excelent knowings in the species and the habitats, his sens of respect of nature, his organisation, his patience and his excellent sense of humor.
We hope to come back soon in Africa for another such succesfull trip with him.

Perfect Safari!
We (two couples from Germany) booked the 6-day midrange tented lodge Safari with Shemeji Safari in early November 2019. The route was Tarangire (day 1), Lake Manyara (day 2), Serengeti (day 3-5) and Ngorongoro Crater (day 6) and it couldn’t have been better:
Already through the whole decision and booking process the Shemeji team replied to our emails quickly and answered all our questions comprehensively, which gave us a good feeling right from the start. Along with all the great reviews online this made the decision to book the Safari with Shemeji very easy for us.
During the six days of our trip we had a great time with our guide Andrew, who was very friendly, funny and patient, knows everything about the wildlife and has the eyes of an eagle to spot them. He was able to find any animal from incredibly far away and could answer all our many questions. We felt absolutely safe with Andrew who is a very good and experienced driver. Many other tour companies drove extremely fast and unsafe and we were wondering how they can spot anything like that. Andrew always found the best position to park our car so we had the best view on the animals and got many incredible pictures. Even the two of our group who had done a Safari before said that they never imagined to see so many animals in such a short time and so close.
We saw all the big five, most of them from a very short distance and more than once. Only the leopards were very well hidden in a tree and the rhinos were quite far away. But most animals were so close to the car that we could nearly have touched them: lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, gazelles, hippos, ostriches, hyenas, wildebeests, zebras ... many of them even had babies and we were able to watch lions eat a couple of times.
The accommodations were all very comfortable, clean and beautiful, and the staff was charming everywhere. We had a particularly good time in Asili Camps Serengeti where we were the only guests and the team really welcomed us and cared for us with exceptional warmth.
The breakfasts and dinners were delicious everywhere and even I as a vegetarian could always find a good choice.
The lunch boxes were ok, for our taste they contained a bit too much “dough” (bread, pancakes, cookies...) and too little fruit or vegetables, but when we asked the staff in the hotels they responded to our requests and put in more fresh stuff.
We can only recommend you to book your Safari with Shemeji and Andrew as your Guide - special thanks to him again for this awesome experience!
