This was my third visit to Africa and my third safari. While I would like to say that one safari is better than another, you really can’t! Each is so unique and adventurous and different that you get quite a different experience each time. For Tanzania, the wildlife is great. We were in Selous, so what you should know is that I highly recommend The Selous Serena Camp for accommodations. The tents were very comfortable and the food was incredible. The guides that we had (Noah and Khalid) were so knowledgeable. There are no air conditioning units, but for this time of year, the oscillating fans were enough. You should also know that you will do quite a bit of driving before getting to large game like lions, elephants, and giraffe. Please don’t miss the opportunity to do the river safari on the Rufigi. This was the only time on safari that I was able to see a leopard! Great views of hippo and crocks on the river. You launch from the other Serena property, the lodge, and lunch will again be provided and amazing. September in Selous was dry and warm. The nights were cool. It’s a bit dusty. Zanzibar was quite the opposite! We stayed at the north of the island near Nungwi Village at La Gemma. Highly recommend this all inclusive resort. Beautiful white sand, sunsets, and the staff are so kind. We did several excursions and enjoyed all of them. My favorites were the Zanzibar cooking class with a local woman, the prison island tour, and a private sunset cruise. Please note that domestic flights in Tanzania are on tiny planes! If you have a fear of this, take your meds!! Tanzania is a beautiful country full of life, culture, kindness, and adventure. It’s a must do for any traveler!

My husband and I are a mature couple and we thoroughly enjoyed out trip to Africa. We knew roughly what we wanted to do but at first trying to organise it independently seemed a bit daunting. However I then read about Safaribookings website and from then on things fell into place.
I was able to organise a trip to see the mountain gorillas in Uganda with Bamboo Ecotours and they gave me good advice to fly into Kigali rather than Uganda.
The trip to see the gorillas was so exciting from the morning briefing to seeing the gorillas in their natural habitats and the issuing of certificates.
For the next leg of our journey we were on our own flying into Mount Kilimanjaro and doing some walking in the foothills before making our way to Arusha for a great safari to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Again I booked this through Safaribookings and the company I choose Vimat Safaris could not have been more helpful. We had a fantastic 4 day trip seeing all the animals we could wish for.
The safari company dropped us back to Mount Kilimanjaro airport and we flew to Zanzibar and enjoyed the last few days of our three week trip in Stone town but enjoyed excursions to the national park there and a lovely day boat trip. I fully recommend a trip to Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania .

Once in A Lifetime
5/5

Mike, our driver and fearless leader, took the time to get to know us and to alter the safari to our liking. He helped a group of strangers connect as friends. He was knowledgeable about the animals and their habitat. When given a request, he did his best to exceed what we wanted to experience this once in a lifetime safari. If and when I go back, I will definitely allow Mike to be our organizer and fearless leader again.

It was an unknown area and we felt looked after and very well taken care of.
5/5

Communications were always prompt and especially on a self drive we always felt there was someone we could contact if we needed to. Fortunately we did not. but the comfort factor was good.

GPS phone and coordinates worked well, always accurate especially where road signs were lacking.

3 days 2 nights Masai Mara group safari
5/5

The 3 days 2 nights Masai Mara Safari was excellent.
We were picked up from our hotel by the team, even though it was not near the city center.
Our driver Sam drove very carefully, we felt very save with him. He also knew a lot about the Masai Mara and the animals living there. Thanks to him we got to see many animals like lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, buffalos, hippos and crocodiles. We could even do a walk along the river guided by a ranger.
Our accomodation was nice and the food from our cook was delicious typical kenyan food.
All in all everything was very well organized and we could enjoy our safari without having to worry about something

Once in a lifetime experience
5/5

We really had such an amazing time in Uganda. Our guide, Hannington was absolutely amazing and friendly and allowed us to see and experience part of the Ugandan lifestyle. We were always curious about the things we saw along our journey, and were always satisfied by the knowledge he had to offer. We did the 4 day Gorilla Trek, which was unbelievable and would recommend to everyone. Such an epic opportunity to experience, and made some friends along the way too. We'll be back :)

An Awesome Experience!
5/5

This was our third Safari with Flash and once again we were not disappointed. Magda is so responsive to my e-mails answering any questions and taking care of every detail to ensure we have a wonderful experience. The camps she selected for us were very nice and our guide was experienced, pleasant, and made sure we enjoyed our safari. We were fortunate to see all of the big 5 on this trip as well as the migration crossing the Mara river. It was an amazing trip and I wouldn’t even consider any other safari company to arrange my future trip. I knew I was in good hands with Flash from the moment we landed to our last day saying goodby to Edward, her partner at the airport. The communication with Flash made me feel I had nothing to worry about, I knew we would be taken care of by Magda and Edward and they did not disappoint. I hope to return with my daughter and granddaughter in 2 years and Flash will be who I will go with.

A dream we didn't want to wake up from!
5/5

The period before the trip was a real struggle as we couldn't decide which tour to chose. Since there are so many offers but with no guarantee.
So we contacted Joseph, he replied very quickly. He was honest and very helpful to guide us with our choice. Then we decided to pick his company tour. The rest was a dream....

The driver Jaymes was funny and so friendly and so helpful. The ride to the park from Nairobi took so long but we enjoyed it anyways.
Jaymes did all he could to make our safari as perfect as we wanted it. He managed to help us see the big 5 with his aigle eyes haha.
The hotel was just PERFECT.... as we were really scared that the hotel won't be good and ruin our experience but it was really nice. It has a beautiful gardens and activities every night.
The game drive was a happiness moment ...
If we go again we will definetly go with Joseph and Jaymes again.
Thank you very much for a safari that we will never forget...

P.S: On the way back to Nairobi, jaymes helped us find our hotel because it was so complicated to find it.
The only thing that i would change for next time is to pick the randge rover instead of the van haha
