AMAZING!!!
5/5

We had a great experience with Africa Flash. From the time we started booking to the time we arrive and through the safari it was smooth and felt trustworthy. We were referred by a friend and a great expectation was set. Working with Peter and our guide Praygod it lived up to that and went above and beyond.

Praygod was an amazing guide who is passionate about what he is doing. He never let us down and even when we were tried. He would re-energize us by showing us something amazing. He treated us like we were family. Even when we had dinner together it was like hanging with your best friend.

Lastly I highly recommend this company as we did a 6day 5 night safari in the Serengeti. My wife and I genuinely felt sad it was over because of the friendship we built with Praygod and the experience we had. The price was fair and very transparent. Probably one of the most fair priced safaris we got a quote for

A huge thanks to the Bright African Safari’s world class service, we had an amazing African Safari!

A huge thank you!
Thanks to Bright African Safari’s world class service, we had an amazing African safari that exceeded our expectations. From the get-go it was so easy to communicate and custom tailor our trip to Tanzania with Mr. Masangi. Bright African Safari catered to our every need and made our 10 day vacation in Tanzania an unforgettable dream come true.
Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro airport, Hammis, a very personable and caring driver, was waiting to greet us. Before driving us to their office he also took us to a supermarket to stock up on snacks for our game drives. He drove us to their office and we met Salim who went over our itinerary and assured us that if we needed anything or had to make any changes to our itinerary he would take care of it; he was true to his word. From the time we landed in Tanzania to the time we departed, Bright African Safari treated us like we were their only clients.
On the second day we met our amazing driver/tour guide, Rajabu. He was so experienced and knowledgeable! His only goal was to drive us to places that were awe inspiring and show us wildlife in their natural habitat. Our game drive began in Tarangiri National park followed by Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. Rajabu was tireless and he put in long days to ensure we could see as much wildlife as possible. He was a great spotter, able to see a rare sightings of cheetah or leopard with their cubs on a tree top enjoying a meal from miles away. When he took us to view the wildebeest migration, we were blown away, that was truly a once in a lifetime experience. In addition to being a superb game driver, Rajabu was also a very attentive and hospitable host. We will never forget the picnic lunches he put together for us complete with tablecloths and other luxuries you would not imagine being a part of a game drive meal, and the food was absolutely delicious!
The accommodations and the food were first class all the way, and the people were so delightful and accommodating. Our 10 days in Tanzania flew by, but this is one vacation we hated to see come to an end. A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Masangi, Salim, Rajabu and Hammis for making our African Safari experiences adventures of a lifetime! Keep up the good work and all the best to you!

Top Safari Planners
5/5

I had really high expectations for this trip. Pembury Tours and our travel consultant Anya made it all happen. The communication, information, and guidance in planning the perfect trip was outstanding. They responded quickly and expertly to every question or request we had before, during and after the trip. We visited South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe over two weeks. Every detail was thought out by Anya, and it all went smoothly and perfectly. I would not use anyone else to plan my next trip to Southern Africa. i recommend them unquestionably. Their knowledge of safari camps, city hotels, weather, what to see and when, and on and on was very valuable.

Use to be fantastic for wildlife, now saturated with noisy disrespectful tourists vehicles
Overall rating
3/5

I first came to the Masai Mara 13 years ago, where it hooked me for life on wildlife and photography. Subsequent visits over the years, this was the forth, has shown a continuing decline in wildlife and a explosive increase of vehicles and the type of tourist that has little or no respect for the animals or landscape. Every spotting was swamped in minutes and upwards of 40 vehicles corralling the animal. Stressed animals, disrupted hunts and animals forced off rest-ups where common, and the norm. I would be surprised if you saw a hunt these days by any of the much rarer cheetah or leopard.

Parts of the reserve now seem devoid of wildlife, Rhino Ridge, Paradise Plains, Talek river, this was strange to us as these areas have always been good for wildlife. This could be seasonal but our guide, very experienced and many years in the Mara as a guide, indicated that it was rare to bother going over to these areas now unless a migration crossing was happening. So it sounds liked something else is happening to the wildlife. He indicated that a lot of resident wildlife is heading to the surrounding conservancies for a more peaceful life.

The lion population is still very good. Lions being lions spend most of the time sleeping so easier to find, although again if they had cubs they tended to hide much deeper in the bush.

The landscape is still beautiful and with the right timing you can get a vista without the ubiquitous white top safari van marring the view (why can't these trucks be in muted colors that blend?)

One of most my most loved parts of Africa seems to have become a victim of its own success, hopefully more controlled access and a cap on new developments will be implemented soon.

We had a wonderful safari in Kruger!

Our visit to Kruger National Park with Wild Planet Safaris was wonderful. We were fortunate to see the "big five" (including a confrontation between lions and buffaloes), many other animals, and many birds as well, a special interest for us. Our guide Darren was very experienced and did an excellent job, and his assistant Lungisani was also very good, including fine cooking. We stayed in tents (with cots), which were comfortable. Our trip included stays at Skukuza camp and Satara camp, and the facilities at both were very good. We chose to use a high, open safari vehicle, which gave us good views. The morning and evening outings could be cool, and we were glad to have an extra layer of clothes, and a blanket was provided as needed. Both the pick up at our hotel in Jo'burg and the shuttle to the airport at the end of our visit went smoothly. Both the safari and the other aspects of our trip to South Africa were a wonderful experience. We found people warm and helpful, the food and facilities were fine, and we had excellent weather.

About: Tanzania
Trip of a lifetime in Tanzania
Overall rating
5/5

We just returned from a 10 person family safari to Tanzania, and it was a trip of a lifetime. Helena from Soul of Tanzania helped me plan this trip over several months and she was a pleasure to work with. She patiently answered all my questions and was extremely accommodating throughout, including multiple changes to the itinerary, accomodations, and number of people.

Every place we stayed in was clean, beautiful, had impeccable service, and served delicious food. We had several vegetarians in our group and they had no issues with meals. We heard lions and hyenas outside our tent in the Chaka Camps at Serengeti and Tarangire, had beautiful views on our balconies at the Serena Ngorongoro, and fabulous rooms at Escarpment lodge in Lake Manyara. The staff in each place was friendly and helpful, and we had a comfortable stay throughout the safari.

Our guides for the safari were unbelievable. They told us stories from their personal experiences of over 10 years, and kept our group entertained. They were also very patient with our large group which also included a 1.5 year old. Thanks to their efforts, we saw 56 (!!) lions, 12 cheetahs, a cheetah kill, 2 leopards, and countless elephants, giraffes, hippos, antelope, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras, and buffalo. We also spotted a caracal, elands, and other rarer animals thanks to the keen eyes of our guides. The guides were knowledgeable about these animals and made sure we found and saw the animals as close-up as possible while prioritizing our safety.

We opted for a balloon ride over the Serengeti, and this was an unbelievable experience to see animals from a bird's-eye view. The champagne breakfast which followed in the middle of the Serengeti was amazing as well.

Soul of Tanzania coordinated our trip from start to finish, and even had a check-in point before we began the safari to ensure our expectations were met. They also coordinated our transfer to the next destination in Nairobi, where we stayed overnight before flying to Cape Town. I plan to use SOT again whenever we return, and highly recommend their services to anyone thinking about a Tanzanian safari.

Incredible experience! We saw serengeti and ngorongoro. Onesmo was exceptional both as a guide and as a driver. Always helpful and above all very good at driving and always before all the other jeeps to see the animals. Salim the cook was also very good. Tanzanian style lunches, all good and healthy. Stayed in a tent inside the parks. The camp was more comfortable. Brushing your teeth with zebras is priceless. In general I recommend 100% of this agency.
