One of the best experiences of my life
5/5

We booked a group safari and had one of the best experiences of our life. We chose a mid range safari.
I started to communicate with Suricata months before the safari and they always replied very quickly, always in a friendly way. When we arrived in Tanzania, a driver was already waiting to bring us to the hotel where we stayed before and after the safari. The guide/driver Rocky was amazing, made our trip even more special, being always happy to share his knowledge and answering any questions that the group had, always happy and engaging. Looking for the best places to spot the animals and always explaining what we saw. We can see that he loves what he does and cares about the nature.
The accommodations during the trip were of a high standard and with helpful staff.
We visited 4 parks and spotted many different animals from antílopes to a lioness attack.
All aspects of the trip were well organised and we didn’t had to worry about anything, only enjoy our safari.
After the safari we got a debrief meeting, which is something that I did not expect.
I can say that I loved every minute of it, thank you to all the team for providing a great service and specially to Rocky for making the safari even more special.

Very good guide with a lot of knowledge
5/5

Aroni is a pleasant person who has a lot of knowledge about safari. He is a pleasant driver and very helpful. Aroni saw animals from the driver's seat that we did not see. Recommend this company and choose dj disee, you will have a nice trip.

Best safari trip
5/5

We did a 5 day group safari tour and it was amazing. From the start to finish they made sure that we are taken care of - pick up to drop off they are on top of it. Communication was fast as well, Hillary replied max like 3 hrs. During the trip I think they also made sure that the people in the group as it was shared are compatible. The group we are in are really nice, glad to be making new friends with them. Our guide/driver Rocky was so knowledgeable with the different animals, he is a good spotter and also made sure that we are on the correct place that we can see the animals properly and pf course take pictures. He made sure that everyone was okay and shared his knowledge with every animals we saw up to the birds and insects. He also explained everything how animals behaved the way there are, their life expectancy and the gestation period. He listened to our requests and was such a good company during the whole trip. 5 days seems so long but it went by so fast. We did the mid range and sleeping in the tented lodge was a great experience you can hear the animals pass by during the night. The food was also good, bringing the plates and utensils and not using paper boxes was a nice touch. Everything in the trip was amazing and we cant wait to go back and experience the safari in a different season

James was enthusiastic, responsive, and passionate while helping me set up the tour arrangements
5/5

I was a solo female traveler making arrangements with James over WhatsApp only ~1-2 months before the trip. James was reassuring I'd be safe, have an incredible time with memories to last a lifetime, and be able to see plenty of animals. All were true :)
Be advised, when you book solo, you will be paired with other travelers, solo, couples, friends, etc. Most of the time they are nice people but on the off-chance that they are not, have patience, otherwise, pay for your own private safari! :)
Some highlights were seeing 4/5 of the 'big five' and seeing :
baboons mating, hyenas and lions feeding on buffalo, lions cuddling, elephants guarding their babies, a massive heard of buffalos, vultures perching & flying, and pumbas trotting around.
Interacting with locals at the neighboring Masai Mara village was also a highlight! Highly recommend immersing yourself in this experience, as it is truly memorable, heart-warming and eyeopening.
I booked a 5 day safari and saw 4 national parks. Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Hells Gate (where we got to rent and ride bikes) were my favorites.
James gave me the passenger seat in the LandCruiser Jeep, which was such a comfortable car.
(Besides the Tour Guide, food and accommodations, you are largely paying for the vehicle since you are in it almost the majority of the safari, be it driving to & from national parks & accommodations or the game drives themselves. So I'm so glad we had a safe, comfortable & durable vehicle, especially during the African massages :D)
Johny was my tour guide and he was so forgiving while I was filming almost the entire experience. He was passionate about making sure that we had the best angles for photo/video capturing. He has superb driving skills -- (you couldn't pay me to drive in Kenya) -- and has the perfect personality and temperament for a guide.
When I got sick halfway through the trip, Johny drove me to a local clinic and stayed with me patiently & calmly while I was getting evaluated and we returned back to the accommodations. Huge 5 stars for that, I don't know what I would've done without him.
Johny was so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. It's so clear that it's fulfilling to him to be able to share the gift of safari with his clients and he is born to do this. There were never too many or stupid questions we could ask Johny.
The accommodations we stayed in were really great given that this was a more budget-friendly safari. I had my own room, bathroom (toilets with running water for those wondering), and a bed in every single accommodation. All of the beds had mosquito nets, too. And the staff were extremely friendly.
If you like snacks, I recommend packing bars, fruit & nuts/chips if you think you'll need them throughout the safari.
I'm so glad I chose to support locally, pay direct to James and support his business, and have this experience. There are lots of travel organizers out there and they're way more expensive because there's a middle man. Definitely consider supporting local if you have the option to because it's a sustainable type of tourism.
James & Johny are forever friends. ASANTE!! <3

A bucket-list adventure: Our amazing Tanzania safari experience
5/5

Williamson Adventures is an exceptional
safari company that provided me with a truly unforgettable 7-day luxury safari experience. From start to finish, the level of service and attention to detail was outstanding.
The accommodations were top-notch, with luxurious tents in some of the most stunning locations in Tanzania, including the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The food was delicious and the staff was always attentive to my needs, making me feel like royalty.
The wildlife sightings were incredible, with multiple game drives each day led by knowledgeable and experienced guides who went above and beyond to ensure we saw the Big Five and other wildlife in their natural habitats. I was able to witness lions hunting, elephants bathing, and cheetahs lounging in the sun.
Williamson Adventures exceeded my expectations and provided me with an unforgettable safari experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a luxury safari adventure.

Unforgettable and wonderful safari experience
5/5

Unforgettable, wonderful, most amazing memories in my life... I was satisfied more than 100%. I searched a lot of companies and checked their reviews in detail. And then chose Suricata, which is the best decision for my safari experience.
Every staff was very friendly and nice. And especially, I would like to thank to Rocky, our guide. He knows good spots to find animals and have many know-hows to attract animals attentions safely. Thanks to him, all of us could see animals very close, take good pictures and videos. He is also very knowledgable about the nature and animals so explained us very well. He answered really well about all people's questions.
The tour was full of great moments. I do recommend here, and guarantee anybody will have wonderful experiences.

Rocky is the best guide in Tanzania
5/5

I joined safari tour with my wife. There were four people in our group. They were very friendly and outgoing so the trip with them was so nice. A thing that the safari trip was perfect is the guide, Rocky. He was very experienced and kind. He knew rich tips how to deal with animals for seeing and safty. I had amazaing moments such as passing elepants very closely, a lot of zeebra and wildebeest crossed the river, and a wildebeest crossing the river was hunted by a lion. I can't forget everytime in this trip forever. It was literally amazing for me.

Terribly organized safari tour (2-day fly-in/out Safari from Dar)
1/5

Terribly organized and chaotic tour, contact persons gave out contradictory information, horrible game-drive, many useless phone calls, dirty sleeping room full of millipedes, lodge staff friendly and food OK, taxi driver dropped me off at the wrong terminal to get the flight and later at the wrong hotel after the tour. I made very good experiences with other tour operators in Tanzania, so that I need to recommend: Do NOT book at Selous Kinga Lodge. Further details below:

I requested an offer for the “2-day fly-in/out Safari from Dar” via Safaribookings.com and was directly linked to Edward and Martin from the lodge who helped me to clarify first questions regarding the tour and send me the offer for the tour.

As soon as I had placed the down payment the trouble began. Martin called me several times. I did not have the feeling, that there was a language problem during the calls, however, almost no useful information was exchanged.

Taxi Pickup to and from the hotels, where I stayed before and after the safari tour were organized by Martin. I sent him the names and addresses of the hotels via Whatsapp. The taxi driver to bring me to the airport dropped me off at the wrong terminal, so that I almost missed my flight to start the safari. The flight was booked by Martin, so that he should have communicated to the driver were to bring me.

The taxi diver to bring me back to the hotel dropped me off at the wrong hotel. When I gave him the right address, he did not know, where it was, although I shared hotel names and addresses with Martin already weeks in advance.

I made the down payment for the tour already three months before tour start. In January Martin explained me, that he could only give me the flight tickets 4 days before departure, because it would be last minute tickets and there were not enough booked passengers on the plane, yet. At the end, the plane was full of tourists and the other tourists told me, that they have received the confirmation for the tour and the flight several months in advance.

The flight with Auric air itself was a great experience: New planes, friendly staff, great views out off the plane.

Edward explained me via email, that it was fine to pay the rest payment directly at the lodge. However, Martin called me only a few days before tour start, that I need to pay everything upfront. Because of that, I needed to give the money in cash to the taxi driver, who brought me to the airport. He could not give me any receipt or payment confirmation.

The game drive in Nyerere Park was horrible. The driver drove at full speed in direction of the animals so that in most of the time we were only able to see the backs of frightened creatures. Bushes and small trees were destroyed when they were run over by the car. Out of the driving car it was generally difficult to take pictures and good positioned stops were very rare.

When I entered the sleeping room, there were around 10 millipedes with a length more than 100 mm inside. I pushed them out, but when I came in the next time the were new ones inside. I understand, that the Lodge is in the middle of the nature. But I slept in comparable locations, where the sleeping rooms, tents or cabins were very clean from the inside.

Do not book at Selous Kinga Lodge. Choose one of the good alternatives.

Travelled to the Mara and Nakuru with family in November and our experience was fantastic from booking to the safari with Rueben who was so informative on all animals we saw. Also their safari was competitively priced.

Excellent Safari experience (6-day northern circuit Tanzania)
5/5

It was a very well-organized tour with one highlight following the next one. Our safari guide and driver Mack made an excellent job. I have the impression, that it was due to his long experience in the job and his good network with the other safari guides, that he was able to show us even all the rare animals. He knows exactly how to position the car to take good pictures and at the same time he takes care to not come too close and that way not to frighten the animals. With very fluent and good understandable English he shared his wide knowledge about the country Tanzania and its nature and created a friendly atmosphere. All special wishes from the group have been fulfilled. The Dikop Tours back office made a professional impression for all the organization around the tour. The 4x4 car was comfortable and it was impressive to see, which kind of ways it was able to manage.
