As a traveler, I had trouble finding a tour company that was trustworthy, within my budget, and offered an authentic Tanzanian experience. When I was about to give up on my search, I discovered Meijo Safari's on Instagram, and from the moment I contacted them, I knew I had found the right company!

Serengeti National Park and Amini Maasai Lodge were two highlights of my trip. They have connections with hotels and local organizations in Tanzania that make the trip so special!
Meijo is my favorite travel company because they provide an experience of traveling with a purpose. It was a great experience to explore local communities, give a Gift of Light to a random family, and see all the beauty of the country. I always felt very safe in the lodges, and they were very nice. I learned so much from my guide, Herman, who has been guiding for over 15 years, and we shared stories for hours.

My partner and I booked the 5 day safari with Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club at the beginning of June. We had an amazing experience with the company from the moment of booking to the very end of our trip. Makonide, the director, made us feel at home straight away and was very friendly and helpful when were deciding when to travel to Tanzania. Our guide, Denis, was incredible and knew exactly where to drive us in the natural reserves so that we would have the best shot at seeing the animals. We even managed to see the very rare rhino thanks to Denis and his tricks. What was really nice is that we didn't have to plan or book anything ourselves.
We were very happy with the accommodations they booked for us, including a night of glamping in the Serengeti. In all the places we stayed at the hospitality was great and the rooms were very comfortable.
We had lunch and (cold) water provided each day. We had more than enough food to fill us, and while the food varied, it mostly consisted of: fruit, fruit juice, some chocolate/biscuits, nuts (if the monkeys don't steal them), roast chicken and sandwiches.
In addition to the safari, Denis proposed visiting a Maasai tribe, a nomadic farming people, and proposed visiting a coffee plantation. We walked through the coffee farms with the local guide, Clemens, who taught us about the process of making coffee. We ended the visit by making our own coffee from the dry bean and took it back to the UK with us.
On our final day, Denis drove us to the airport where we found our flight had been delayed and moved to a different airport! Without asking for any additional fees, Denis stayed with us that afternoon and showed us around the local markets until our later flight time - we would have been completely stuffed without him and his colleague Mary.
Why should you chose this company over others? Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club is a well organised company and you can tell that Makonide really values the experience of his clients because he will pair you up with someone like our incredible guide Denis, who was accommodating for any other requests we had (buying a SIM card for internet, withdrawing currency etc), and who really went above and beyond when our flight was cancelled.

We recently celebrated our 5th year anniversary with an amazing safari to Tanzania. We received a very prompt reply from Baraka to our inquiry for safari and recommended itineraries.
We had a very nice holiday, everything went very smoothly and was as good as promised. James was our driver-guide, and I would absolutely recommend him. He is very knowledgeable and able to locate a variety of animals and birds! Always on time and took great care of us.

Our time spent in Kenya with the assistance of Sameer from Classic Journeys was phenomenal. The company's guide was attentive to our wishes and needs. He paid close attention to what we wanted to see and found everyone of them and then some. He was so helpful in sharing his knowledge and experience with animal behavior finding us the best up close viewing options while respecting the animal. The accommodations were all top notch in terms of comfort, food and the African experience.

After our Zanzibar vacation we booked the safari. It was such a wonderful experience, the animals, nature, mountains and of course the people. The tour was completely organized from the first to the last day. Our driver Abedi always helped us with the transfer and excursions. We were able to enjoy our stay without any stress. If you book something with this company, you are definitely doing everything right. Price, performance, service unbeatable. We will definitely book with the company again, can only recommend it.
