12-Day Maasai Land Trekking - Great Budget Tour. Simple but still amazing
We did AAA express adventure's "12-Day Maasai Land Trekking Maasai Bushland and game reserved with Maasai Warriors and Game drive in Serengeti –Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara trip" with some extensions. The organisation with Mr Jalala went perfectly well. Payment through international bank transfer went through really smooth too.
Upon arrival we were picked-up at the airport which was quite convenient. The first hotel-night was mediocre with some holes in mosquito nets but was sufficient for sleeping. Especially as once the tour really started things got truly nice.
The first night we slept in the backyard of a village, in the even more remote areas we then simply camped somewhere in the middle of nowhere. We really liked that unique experience. The Maasai walking guide was special, and tried his very best to please us. Sometimes even a bit too much, we had to 'fight' to actually get to sleep in the middle of nowhere as it is less comfortable and he wanted us to be as comfortable as possible but the experience was well worth it.
Thanks to the heat, the walking was relatively tiresome despite the leisurely speed. But the feeling to be walking through the bushes was unique and we really enjoyed capturing the landscapes at walking speed.
The second part of our trip was a classical safari as one would imagine it. Our driver was awesome, we saw a lot of wildlife thanks to him. The cook too did his best to spoil us with both African and western meals. The car we had was definitely in a good shape compared to cars of other companies, even though the DCAC power converter broke at some point. (Bring enough camera batteries to be prepared for something like this!)
The camping material too was in a reasonable shape. We used liners in the supplied sleeping bags on the supplied mattresses and slept quite well. One could always bring their own sleeping bag + mattress to be sure of the material and hygiene when in doubt. The tents were solid, though not really waterproof anymore.
All in all we had a really great trip for a reasonable price (the expected tips are about 2x more than announced) and would definitely recommend. We will re-book through AAA Express Adventure for future trips to Tanzania.
Feel free to ask Jalala for my contact if you have any questions.

Shady, Fraudulent and Untrustworthy
We booked and paid for a 6-day tour of Etosha National Park, Swakopmund and Sossusvlei (accommodated) on Viator 6-months in advance. A week before the actual trip we got a message from Enrico Safaris and Tours that the tour was cancelled as it did not meet the minimum number. They offered a private tour that was only slightly higher and we booked and paid for entire tour to Enrico Safaris and Tours including accommodation, dinner, breakfast, activities and admissions. We did not realize that we are going to be dealing with a shady and fraudulent tour agency and we are going to have a harrowing time.
On Day 1 we were picked up 2 hours later than scheduled. It was a small car (not suitable for driving on unpaved roads later) and the car’s a/c was not working. After 4 hours of uncomfortable journey the guide/driver managed to get a temporary fix. But we arrived 3 hours behind schedule and had to cut short that days’s game drive in Etosha National Park.
On Day 3 when we reached Swakopmund, the room charges for hotel was not paid for by the Enrico Safaris and Tours. Since they could not be reached, we ended up paying for the rooms for us and for the tour guide.
On days 4 and 5 in Sossusvlei, once again the hotels rooms and dinner were not paid for and also none of the activities were paid for. We had to pay for all these for us and for the tour guide.
The guide/driver (who is not an employee of the Enrico Safaris and Tours, but just hired by them for this tour) tried calling Enrico Safaris and Tours several times to address the issue. They either did not answer the call or lied to the guide about sending money, but never sent the money. The guide/driver was a very friendly and a nice person who tried his best to help us out of the harrowing experience. But Enrico Safaris and Tours did not either answer his calls or lied to him repeatedly that he is going to send the money. The guide/driver managed to get a 4x4 on day 4 for travel on unpaved roads on Day 4.
In summary, Enrico Safaris and Tours did not just mishandle the tour but were defrauding and swindling us. In spite of fully paying for the tour in advance to Enrico Safaris and Tours, we still ended up paying for more than half of the accommodation, dinner and activities.
So our recommendation is “Don’t trust Enrico Safaris and Tours and Do Not Use their services”.

Amazing safari with excellent team of professionals
Safari exceeded all my expectations!!! Especially I want to note Mathew. He accompanied us at every step of the travel organization. Mathew helped us find the best interesting safari tour program, organized program a stay in Nairobi, booked a comfortable hotel in Nairobi, arranged a warm welcome on arrival and even presented safari hats)))
Our safari guide Stevie was a real professional. He showed us many interesting moments from the life of animals such as: lion hunting, mating of lions, elephant fighting, crocodile hunting. We always felt the care and attention of Stevie during the safari.
It was unforgettable!!! We will return definitely!!!

The trip was outstanding and amazing!!!
The journey started in Nairobi and we headed to maasai Mara, one of the best tourist destinations. We had well cooked food and the meals were in time. We all enjoyed the food. The following day we went to see the wild animals in the maasai Mara game reserve. We had a chance to see the big five and even enjoyed the experience. We also went to maasai village later and we had a chance to buy some items for remembrance. We also had a chance to go to Nakuru. The sight was a good place to take pictures with my friends and also see some birds. I would say that this was the best trip I have had in the year. The transport was provided, sleeping in the camps felt so good and the food was on its own level. I would like to thank John, the chef, the driver and Bencia Africa Adventure and Safaris for the good work that they are doing. It is always worth it to travel with you

Proffesional Couteous Friendly Reliable
From the start of us enquiring about the Safari, through booking and our Safe return.
Classic Journeys were so proffessional. Everything was done in a timely manner. Great communications. Every part of our trip was on time, our guides were Friendly, always on time, Courteous and knowledgeable.
Our Safari guide went Above and beyond giving us the best views of the Animals and shared many experiances with us during our adventures each day. We had an open Jeep which we highly reccommend. With only 4 of us on the tours each day, it felt very personable, and first class
Our camp (The Mara Ngenche) had 12 Tents, that were super cool, all hidden from each other in the bushes, with everything you needed and so comfortable. The camps hospitaily was second to none from the Manager to the waiters, chief and all the staff. The food was superb. The Location was breathtaking.

Would repeat, will recommend
The whole experience has been amazing. Big thanks to the people in every single place, who made us feel like home. Thanks also and especially to Abudallah, who take good care of us :-)
We'll certainly recommend your company to friends.
We have some advices to take the experience a bit higher; please do not consider these as criticising, far from our intention. We just want to improve it even further for future guests (and friends!). For example, giving a fabric bag with a few useful or nice things, like the latest program printed (with some info about the new lodge, e.g. Bakiga Lodge), urgent phone numbers or even an already stamped postcard to send home. A sim card loaded with $5.
Maps! Including a queen Elizabeth park one. Another idea for game drives: let a book about the animals to be seen to the guests. You can add those some 20 dollars to the whole account and leave an immediate good impression.
By the way, bringing us dollars turned out to be expensive and not at all useful for us: the change everywhere was very disadvantageous, we were always requested 1 usd per 2000 ugandan shillings. Much better to bring any currency and change to shillings at the border.
On the other side, congratulations on the choice of lodges: we loved all of them! And furthermore, food was delicious everywhere!
That's all: thanks again!!!

Trip of a lifetime 8 day tour Uganda
Communication was quick and informative with Joli, Jon our driver /guide was excellent throughout the tour and added to our experience with his detailed knowledge of the country and animals. The accommodation was very good exceeding our expectations of mid range, and the food the same level. It was a well structured tour covering two national parks and two treks with chimpanzees and gorillas, two wonderful boat trips as well. We saw all the wildlife you could imagine and it was a humbling experience being with the Ugandan people who have little but are so proud of ther country.
