A once in a lifetime experience - not to be missed!
5/5

We have had the most magical safari experience, that way exceeded our expectations! We booked through Goldfinch Adventures, after a recommendation from a friends friend. A little sceptical at first as it’s a relatively new company. However, they went above and beyond to make our first safari memorable. Brenda organised our whole trip after discussing our needs and interests. She provided a perfect itinerary. We started our safari in Arusha where we were met by our lovely guide, Seleman. He was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He drove us to The Serengeti and ensured we got to see every animal on our wish list including giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions and cheetahs. After a full day animal spotting we went to our lodge for the next two nights. We opted for the luxury Moyo tented lodge. The staff were friendly, entertaining and the lodges were beautiful. The meals were all delicious and plentiful. After two days at The Serengeti we headed to Ngorongoro crater to see the black Rhino, lions, elephants and hippos. We were very fortunate to have Seleman as a driver as he was brilliant at spotting the animals. In the evening we were taken to our second tented lodge, Angata camp. This lodge was simply incredible, with the nicest staff, fabulous lodges with some of the best food we have ever eaten. It was like fine dining in a tent with a 4 course evening meal! Both lodges were amazing but this last one was something else and highly recommended! After another full day drive in the crater we headed back to the airport where we met Brenda again. She came with gifts for us all, which was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated.

Overall, this was a once in a lifetime experience that could not have gone any better. Goldfinch Adventures go above and beyond your expectations. They ensure you leave happy, wanting to return and do not disappoint. Look forward to another trip with them in the future.

⚠️ Avoid Mamu Travels & Safaris Kenya – A Very Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience ⚠️
1/5

We booked a private safari tour with Mamu Travels & Safaris Kenya from August 12–15, 2025. Before we paid, their representative Mariam D. was extremely friendly and always quick to respond. However, as soon as the payment was made, that friendliness vanished. She became unresponsive and offered no real help when issues arose.

The real shock came when the tour began.

Our private tour was anything but private. The driver, Daniel, randomly brought along a colleague — turning our private tour into a shared one. And the worst part? Mariam Desimo knew about this from day one and did absolutely nothing, even though she was fully aware it was booked and paid as a private experience.
He made no effort to find animals, didn’t listen to our requests, and basically just followed his own agenda. We felt like passengers on his trip, not guests on ours.
One of the included services in our official itinerary was a visit to a Maasai village. However, Daniel tried to scam us by taking us to a village where we were suddenly asked to pay an extra $30 per person — even though this visit was already included in our package.

As for tipping — the offer already included a mandatory $10 tip per day, which we were forced to pay. So it’s not like we tipped voluntarily — it was built in, and we had no choice.

After the tour, we sent Mariam clear photo evidence showing that:

-Daniel did not use a company vehicle - risking our lifes with a poor vehicle
-the tour was not private as agreed,
-services in the offer were not delivered properly.

Her response? Just an empty apology and a desperate attempt to convince us not to write a bad review. She didn’t care about our experience — she only cared about her company’s reputation.
When we reasonably asked for a partial refund based on the points that were clearly not delivered as promised, they outright refused. A serious company would take responsibility for their mistakes. Not here.

And the biggest joke of all? They claimed they “made no profit” from this tour. Come on — not even a child would believe that. Every tour operator works with special rates and partnerships to generate profit. Trying to pretend otherwise is just insulting.

We're now dealing with this legally through our lawyer — and even now, they refuse to refund us for the services we paid for but never received.

If you’re considering booking with Mamu Travels & Safaris Kenya, I strongly advise against it. In my experience, it was a waste of money, time, and peace of mind.

If you need proof – feel free to contact me privately. I have receipts, photos, and messages to back up every single word here.
I worked with another safari company during the same trip that was 100x better — professional, honest, and truly customer-oriented. So trust me when I say:

I would strongly advise avoiding Mamu Travels & Safaris Kenya. In my experience, the trip was ruined and I felt my money was wasted.!!!!!!!!!!!

Great safari experience with Brian Ouya
5/5

We managed to see all the big five animals and much more. Game drives with Brian are very exciting! Had great experiences in Masai village, on the boat ride, walking tour next to many animals around. Also we had a chance to see hippopotamus being fed!!!!
Great accommodation - exceptional food in the hotel next to Masai Mara.

The experience with Buyanga Safaris has been exceptional
5/5

The experience with Buyanga Safaris has been exceptional. Starting with Peter's seriousness and organizational skills, who was always attentive to our objectives and needs, efficiently resolving any unforeseen problems generated by our inexperience. The necessary complement that made our trip a very good option was the guide/driver Aptun, who drove with the necessary expertise on very long journeys to allow us to comply with our program, and his problem-solving skills and knowledge of the country allowed us to do in six days what normally takes 10 days. In short, if we return to Uganda, which we will, since seeing gorillas, chimpanzees, and the Shoebill is a sensation you will want to repeat. When that happens, we will definitely return with Buyanga Safaris for reasons of quality, safety, and, why not say, price.

Phenomenal!
5/5

I could have not asked for a better experience for my first time in Tanzania! Mike was incredibly accommodating, well-organized and very gracious from start to finish. He took the time to plan out and provide a detailed itinerary prior
to arrival in Tanzania.

Upon arrival, Mike personally visited us at our hotel with our driver for the duration for introductions and review of our upcoming days on safari. We felt very safe and in good hands with Mike.

Our driver, Johnson (sp?) was fantastic from the get-go. Courteous, knowledgeable, he ensured our every need was met. He has a true respect for the land, animals and people of the Serengeti. It was an absolute pleasure sharing this once-in-a-lifetime experience with Johnson.

Please, if you are looking for a professional, tailored, safari experience, reach out to Extreme Wilderness. In a sea of tour operator options, supporting a small business paid off for us in the adventure of a lifetime.

I will be back and I will only use Mike and Extreme Wilderness Tours!!!

Good reliable operator providing a quality trip.
4/5

We travelled through Madagascar for 4 weeks with Madagascar Natural Tours. We enjoyed reliable and punctual service and had guides that were considerate of our preference to see wildlife in the National Parks. The roads are terrible, but our driver was always considerate of our comfort and tried to make it as smooth as possible.

Masai mara National Park was truly wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed the wild animals. Although I missed Nu's great moving which is done last month, I was very satisfied with the friendly guide, the good accommodations. Thank you for making my trip so enjoyable.
