Amazing safari with Tom from Axis Africa
We had an incredible safari experience with Tom as our guide from Axis Africa Safaris. From the very beginning, he was attentive, friendly, and full of positive energy. Tom made sure to always check what we wanted to do and adapted the days to our wishes, which made the trip feel really personal.
Thanks to his sharp eye and deep knowledge, we were able to spot so many animals — lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and many others. Each sighting came with clear, engaging explanations that helped us understand animal behavior and the ecosystem better. On top of that, Tom’s sense of humor and positive attitude made every drive fun and memorable.

Exceeded expectations
We took a 5 day mid range tour with Nestory who was absolutley lovely and dedicated to his career.
The car was comfortable and well

Only one days miscommunication about timings but did not occur again and the trip Was reliable and considerate.
Our accommodations were superb! Could not fault the choices at all. The meals provided at the lodges were all fantastic.
Lunches were repetitive and could do with some fresh fruit.
We also feel the mix of mid range and budget in the car, while Understandable really did not help us at all as we spent on average an extra 1.5 to 2 hrs a day in the car transporting between their accommodation and ours which meant we really didn’t get to enjoy our lodgings at all.
We visited Tanganire National Park, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Nestor was a skilled driver and a very knowledgeable guide and well
Regarded among his peers. He made sure we saw the Big Five and everything else

Looking for a bespoke safari adventure with specific needs I contacted many companies both in the UK & in East Africa
From the moment I contacted Camptrek safaris I just knew this was the company that could fulfill my dreams.
I spent many hours researching and had hundreds of questions. Each one was answered quickly & professionally by Lucy & occasionally John at any time of the day or evening.
Most of the Lodges & Tented camps suggested by Lucy were amazing. Always in a great area in each of the national parks we travelled through to get the very best out of our days.
Internal flights again were planned meticulously & a different guide was waiting at each different area of both Kenya & Tanzania.
Patience & respect was always shown by Lucy when we changed the itinerary numerous times to ensure not a moment was wasted.
Cost was extremely reasonable & far cheaper than some “reputable “ UK companies who were choosing much cheaper lodges
We booked our flights separately & were delayed by KLM . I contacted Camptrek at the airport using WhatsApp. No worries. We were met at the airport after a 10 hour delay by Margaret & Peter who immediately took us on the Nairobi national park safari & continued with our full itinerary including a delicious lunch at the Carnivore restaurant, as if nothing had happened. So nothing was lost.
We had three different guides throughout our days on safari. Steven for the Amboseli region. Steven had great knowledge of the animals & birds in the area. We found cheetah on the first day & Lion twice. We really enjoyed his company & he was extremely good fun & professional at all times. We didn’t think we could find a better guide.
We met David our second guide for 11 days at Samburu airstrip who had the largest smile & happiest greeting you could wish for. Travelling through Samburu, Ol Pejeta, lake Nakuru, lake Naivasha & finally the Masai Mara we had the best of times. Lots of fun & laughter & we had the most amazing sightings. I could write endlessly about the incredible experiences we witnessed. It was my husbands birthday in the Masai Mara. David made this day extra special & one we can never forget. We jokingly ordered leopard sightings. 🤪 the gods were on our side & it looked like he delivered. He made the day extra special with the Masai people singing at a bush breakfast & again at dinner.
David had such passion. He just seemed to have a sixth sense about animals. we saw leopard with a kill climb a tree. Countless lions,
Cheetah. The big 5 almost daily. He always managed to find the right place to be. He seemed to know & understand what the animal would do and so could find the right position before the crowds arrived resulting in the best photos. David treated us like his family. He is unforgettable.
The Landcruiser was spotless & cleaned every single day. The windows sparkled; the floor mats pristine. The jeep washed daily.
Both David & Steven picked us up early morning & delivered us back to camp at sunset. Not a moment was wasted.
And then we flew to Tanzania & met our third guide Shabani.
After such an amazing experience in Kenya we didn’t know what to expect.
Shabani was quieter but loved to learn & compare our lives. He was extremely conscientious & really tried his best to give us amazing experiences. We saw the great migration river crossings four times over a day and a half. Other guests in our lodge never saw one river crossing in those same days that we were there His patience was overwhelming We wanted to get the best photographs & he tried his very hardest to follow our instructions ensuring that we got the most unbelievable photos.
Driving from northern through to central Serengeti Shabani made each long journey memorable by going out of his way so that every possible sighting in the area could be had. We saw so many lion cheetah & leopards including cubs. Again the Land cruiser was cleaned daily. The windows sparkling not like many other companies we saw.
Shabani suggested we not follow the crowds but do our own sightings. His knowledge of central Serengeti was second to none driving along lesser known tracks to the mainstream & consequently we were rewarded with unforgettable moments; Such as a leopard family with month old cubs. Servals. Caracal & young cheetah cubs with their mother.
The last 3 days of our journeys through NGORONGORO & finally Tarangire national park were long days. Shabani made sure that he made the best of those journeys exploring different areas of the national parks so that we could get the most out of our days & unusual sightings.
We finally ended our holiday with a beach stay in Zanzibar. Please ensure that you have the mandatory travel insurance otherwise you must pay at the airport which is a cost of $44 each.
We were collected at the airport by a representative arranged by Camptrek.
We had some issues on arrival in Zanzibar & I contacted Camptrek immediately by WhatsApp John responded. The issues were discussed & resolved without question. I couldn’t have expected better service from anywhere.
It’s very refreshing to know that if any issues do arise. There is back up from the company no matter where or when.
I would recommend Camptrek safaris to anyone. You will be overwhelmed by their professionalism , courtesy honesty & superb passionate guides.
Nothing was ever too much for anyone in the company. This has been a holiday like no other. I cannot praise everyone in the company highly enough.

The best in Kenya
Big Tom is our guide for the exciting 8 days journey. He is experienced and knowledgeable about the safaris. He keeps finding different species for us to see and promised us to see the Big 5, which we accomplished it in the 6th day.
Hotels, vehicles, everything is above standard. I would definitely suggest this tour to everyone.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Jocky Tours—especially thanks to our amazing guide, Stanley! Communication with the office was smooth and efficient; every email we sent was answered quickly and clearly.
From the moment we arrived, we were told, “Your guide is a senior one, very experienced!”—and that couldn’t have been more true. Stanley was incredibly kind, polite, and patient throughout the entire trip. During our game drives, he shared fascinating insights about the wildlife and made sure we spotted not just the Big Five and the Ugly Five, but so many other incredible animals too. We even got lucky enough to witness lions and ostriches during their mating season!
Stanley always managed to find the perfect angles for our photos, making sure we captured every moment beautifully. Our six days were filled with laughter, unforgettable memories, and so many fun moments. This tour truly exceeded all my expectations of what a safari could be.

Dream fulfilling adventure with authentic hospitality and an amazing guidance
This 6-Day safari, visiting the Masai Mara, the lake Nakuru and the amboseli park made our dream come true. Choosing the 6 days over the 3 or 4 days safari was totally worth it. We got to see all the big five and so much more! Every park was different so every day was an adventure.
Especially our guide Stanley was the reason this trip was so fulfilling. He was kind, funny, patient and all knew the best ankles to make the best fotos. Even the long drives in between the parks were very interesting because of his story’s and knowledge about the kenian wildlife.
You could ask him everything and he even invited us on the last night to share the dinner with his other colleagues with was so funny and authentic.
We also recommend choosing the budget accommodations because you will be out for game drives the whole time, and the beds and toilets were very good! Even the food was always very nice!
So we can honestly say it was worth every dollar! And a special thanks again to our guide Stanley who made this adventure so special !

Really really good Tour with Amos
We had a wonderful safari, especially because we were lucky to have Amos as our guide. He kept to all agreements, was always on time, is a safe driver, and accommodates every request. He also has extensive knowledge of the animal world and was able to share a great deal with us, so we not only learned about every imaginable animal but also a lot about the animals surrounding them. It was a fantastic time, and we'll do the next safari with Amos again. Highly recommended. Thank you very much.

Expertise meets heart — an unforgettable, flawless safari!
My guides were the owner, Jackson, and Fifi (Joseph). There were two Taiwanese and two Chinese guests — four people in one car.

Let me start with the conclusion: We saw so many incredible sights during this six-day safari!
For example, we saw lions mating.
We also witnessed a lioness hunting and devouring a young Topi. The mother Topi even stood at a distance, waiting. Jackson said she was trying to hold on, praying for her baby's survival. It was a scene that was both shocking and heartbreaking.
We saw the Mara River crossing twice, including a large one at the iconic crossing point, 0B. It was truly spectacular — like a work of art.
While chatting with other tourists along the way, we realized that many hadn’t seen such a variety of wildlife. The four of us felt incredibly lucky, and it was truly thanks to Jackson and Fifi that we were able to experience such an amazing journey.
We had wished to see a hunt, so we left early that day — and saw it after only 15 minutes of waiting! Luck is important, but choosing a professional guide is just as crucial.
Jackson and Fifi created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the trip. From the moment we met, our mood shifted — we were filled with joy and anticipation. They carefully brushed the dust off our suitcases and loaded them into the jeep. Noticing we liked zero-calorie Coke, they stocked the car fridge with plenty.
Fifi saw me looking around for a trash can in the distance and immediately ran over to take the trash from my hands — so thoughtful and environmentally conscious. Jackson noticed I was using a scarf to shield myself from the sun and quickly tucked it into the car door to create a shaded area for me. Everything was incredibly considerate.
Jackson has built a vast network over more than ten years of experience. From the moment he enters the park, he warmly greets park staff, other guides, and lodge employees — he's clearly very well-respected!
One moment I’ll never forget: I had contacted other travel agencies about a popular lodge near the Ngoronogoro crater, but none of them had availability — only Jackson managed to secure a reservation!
We almost always had hot lunches (hampers), with a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. Jackson and Fifi would find a safe patch of grass or a rest area, set the table with a tablecloth, and give us a truly ceremonial lunch experience.
Both of them also have incredibly sharp eyesight. One time, we were chatting and snacking in the car when suddenly, their eyes locked onto something. We looked in the same direction and saw nothing but a lone tree — but as we drove over, there they were: three cheetahs! Their vision amazed us every single day.
Jackson was also very friendly and generous — always using the walkie-talkie to share animal sightings with other guides. Once, after we watched a lion hunt, Jackson kindly reminded us not to share the news with passing vehicles, so as not to affect other tourists' experiences or the guides' efforts (since witnessing a hunt also requires luck). His thoughtfulness really left a deep impression on us.
To us, Jackson and Fifi weren’t just professional, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable — they were also warm, energetic, and fun to be around. It felt like we were traveling with longtime friends, which made the entire trip even more unforgettable.
I still miss those days — every night, we’d sit together for dinner, chat, and listen to Jackson’s stories and his deep knowledge of wildlife.
