Great company to do business with.
Our family of four went on a seven-day Kenyan safari, visiting Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli. We were incredibly lucky to have Zachary the Greatest as our driver and guide. Zachary and Josef picked us up from our hotel in Nairobi, and after a quick briefing from Josef, we dropped him off at the company office and set off on what became the most amazing trip of our lives.
Travelling between the parks was long, but also exciting and eye-opening, especially for Europeans not accustomed to the local way of living. Every park we visited was brilliant and worth seeing, but Maasai Mara was our favourite, particularly because of the abundance of wildlife during the great migration season. We spent three days there, taking different routes each day. We saw four out of the Big Five - elephants, lions, buffalo, and leopards (twice). Although we missed the rhino, we saw countless zebras, wildebeest, many giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, and a huge variety of birds including ostriches, vultures, and eagles.
Thanks to Zachary’s incredible eagle eye, we even saw a black mamba - something we never imagined we would ever see! One day, he took us by surprise and organised a walk along the banks of the Mara River with an armed ranger, we spotted hippos and crocodiles from a safe distance.
After Maasai Mara, we drove to Lake Nakuru, where the very first animal we saw was a rhino - completing our Big Five! We later saw more rhinos and enjoyed an afternoon drive around the lake, including a visit to Makalia Falls. Lake Nakuru is a smaller, enclosed park compared to Maasai Mara, but still absolutely worth visiting, especially for bird lovers. We saw plenty of pelicans and other species, as well as Rothschild giraffes (different from the Maasai giraffes in Mara), zebras, baboons, hippos, and colobus monkeys.
The next day we took a long drive toward Amboseli, with a stop at Lake Naivasha for a boat trip. It was a bit scary but an unforgettable experience to see hippos from water level. We kept a safe distance, and also saw pelicans, fish eagles, cormorants, and sacred ibis. Halfway through the boat ride, we stopped at an animal sanctuary for a short walking safari among wildebeest, giraffes, and antelopes. Afterward, we visited the Great Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing to Amboseli, arriving in the early evening.
On the way, we made an unplanned stop to help repair another safari truck headed in the same direction. Zachary, apart from being an outstanding guide, driver, and an incredibly funny and genuinely lovely person, also turned out to be a mechanic!
We spent two days in Amboseli. The park is very dry and the drives were dusty, but the scenery more than made up for it, especially the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli had the largest concentration of elephants we saw, including some with impressively long tusks. In addition to the usual zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and giraffes, we spotted lions, cheetahs, monkeys, hyenas, ostriches, pelicans, secretary birds, bustard birds, and even a very strange-looking giraffe antelope.
From the very first day, Zachary asked what animals we most hoped to see. I mentioned the serval, and Zachary warned that it would require incredible luck. On our last morning, just ten minutes from the park gates as we headed back toward the airport - there it was. A serval! It was the perfect final moment of our safari and summed up our experience with Zachary the Greatest: absolutely amazing. You ask Zachary - Zachary delivers.
Zachary was truly a highlight of our trip. Without a doubt, our safari would not have been the same without him. If you have the chance to choose - choose Zachary. If you don’t have a choice and end up with him, consider yourself extremely lucky!
Our accommodation and food were wonderful throughout the trip, especially at Sentrim Mara Camp, which was our favourite. Explorers Wild Adventure proved to be an excellent company to work with, and communication with Johann before our arrival in Africa was impeccable. We highly recommend them to anyone uncertain about which safari company to choose. The experience is worth every penny.
Thank you to everyone at Explorers Wild Adventure for making our holiday so unforgettable.

Excellent guide and driver
We had an amazing 7-day trip to Kenya, booked through James, and our tour guide and driver was Kalib. He is truly the best person to have for a memorable trip in Kenya.
Our journey began in Nairobi and continued to the breathtaking Maasai Mara. Throughout the trip, Kalib showed us an incredible range of wildlife — rhinos, all the Big Five, the Big Cats, the Ugly Five, and many more animals. He even took the effort and risk to show us lions hunting and cheetahs hunting, which was an unforgettable experience.
Kalib also explained in detail about the animals’ lifestyles, their varieties, and the geography of Kenya and the Maasai Mara. His knowledge, passion, friendliness, and enthusiasm made our trip truly special.
We definitely had a great time and are looking forward to recommending him to our friends in the future. Thank you, Kalib, for making our Kenya trip so amazing!

Good
It has been a nice trip with Mo safari. The driver was very nice and cooperative. We had booked a private trip but had to share a car with other guests for some of the trips the first two days. We complained to the company and this was rectified. Chef Forward and driver Lembi and Lemon Juice were nice and accommodating.

Lemon juice is that one guide who would everything for the tourists.
Our tour guide, Lemon Juice, was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. He is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable guides I’ve ever met. What really stood out was the raw, authentic depth of his knowledge about wildlife, nature, and the entire ecosystem. You can feel instantly that he’s not just doing a job — he truly lives and breathes this work.
He was incredibly polite, patient, and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and informed. Throughout the entire trip, he stretched himself far beyond what we expected. Whether it was adjusting routes, tracking movements, or spotting wildlife from impossible distances, he genuinely went above and beyond to make the experience special for us.
Thanks to his skill and dedication, he helped us fulfill our dream of witnessing the Big Five. He knew exactly where to go, what signs to look for, and how to navigate the terrain with confidence and ease. Every moment felt safe, organized, and exciting.
If you're planning a safari, I cannot recommend Lemon Juice highly enough. With him, you’re not just getting a tour. You’re getting a masterclass in wildlife, delivered with professionalism, honesty, and passion. Truly unforgettable.

Trip of a lifetime!
This honestly was the trip of a lifetime.
We booked for a private 5 day safari in Navaisha, Nakuru and Masai Mara with only around a months notice. Contact with Irene was always polite and comprehensive and she was quick to answer and resolve any queries we had. Price was very fair for the tour.
On arrival Land Cruiser was spotless, guide was polite and friendly. Once on safari, we realised our guide Tony was the true hero here. He took us from sighting to sighting tirelessly, often getting us to significant sightings before anyone else.
Notable experiences were, seeing a pack of lions defend their buffalo kill against 2 large crocodiles. Also seeing a large male tranquillised by a vet in order to be treated for a leg injury.
The whole experience was amazing top to bottom and we will certainly be back and recommend Hyrax to all our friends and family.
Thanks again for the incredible time!

Fabulous!
Everything happened as it was described and this was very securing. There was always someone to welcome us at the airports and to assure the transport between the different places.
Our guide Caleb and our driver Sameer were the best we could expect! Very professional, reliable and friendly. Communication with them was easy both in French and English. The places we visited were simply awesome: National Reserve, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli: WOW !! The camps we slept in were clean, comfortable and convenient. Food was delicious. The staff always welcoming and very nice.
We saw all the groups of animals. Made lots of pictures of them (and videos). Landscapes are splendid and are also great subjects for
photography. We were fortunate enough to see the Kilimanjaro cleared of clouds during the 2 days we spent at Amboseli. Once again awesome for pictures!
The early morning trip on the hot air balloon is worth the money. Carlos: excellent pilot! We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras and many more bathed in the first rays of sunrise. Beautiful and peaceful ! And the breakfast right after in the middle of the plain is a pleasant experience.
One deception: the visit of the Village Masai. It seemed to us more like a theatrical decor waiting for tourists to start the show. They make us visit a few houses but there is no kids, no animals, no plates or furnitures, like if once the tourists are gone, the site is closed !… They also made MUCH pressure on me to buy their artisanal which were not as pretty and varied as those we can find in different boutiques for much less expensive! Really not what we were expecting, unfortunately.
