Once in a lifetime experience into the wild savannah
I had booked a 3-days safari in Masai Mara through a website named "safaribookings" and I inquired a few options for Masai Mara, one of the best one seemed to be "Explorer Kenya".
Everything was well coordinated and our driver (Martin) pick up in Nairobi was extremely punctual and professional.
We enjoyed every minute of the journey and were lucky enough to spot all the big five within the end of the second day.
We stayed at the camp "Ashnil Mara" which was amazing. Meals and service was perfect. Only negative point was no internet connection in any area of the hotel during the first 1,5 days, then they had it fixed.
Nature was gorgeous and all the staff at the camp was simply amazing.
The commute from Nairobi to the camp is pretty long (some 6-7 hours) so be prepared. The 4x4 vehicle was comfortable and our driver/guide was very knowledgeable about wildlife including birds.
All in all, a fantastic experience to remember for the rest of my life.

Huge wildlife, need at least 5 days
We took a 4 day trip to Tanznia to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro national parks. We took a trip with Savanah explorers with a tour guide Geofrey and ir was excelent. The guide knew everything about the animals, very qualified. However, I recomend to take 5 or 6 days for safari, it will be worth it. It is more worth to take a longer sfaro, but less expensive accomodation.

Amazing friendly country with affordable options!
Kenya itself is an amazing country with so much to offer. While its big and you definitely need to plan how to get around, the country has so many friendly people. People are positive, full of smiles and helpful. They speak English very well. Staff are courteous and helpful and make me smile.
Kenya offers many. From beaches, hiking to safaris; anything is possible. I was able to book safari with safaribookings.com and they made the process so easy. I saw so many lions in Masai Mara on my birthday on Christmas Day. Then I booked a flight to Mombasa from Nairobi and the process was easy.
Safety is always important for me. I felt pretty safe throughout Kenya. However I don't advise wandering alone at night. Nothing happened to me but I would not trust walking alone at night anywhere in the world anyway.
Overall I would love to come back and see more of what Kenya offers. Its also very cheap so many of the foods and accommodations are very affordable.

Amazing VIP Experience
The communication, attention to detail, and guides were second to none. We had a smooth, stress free once in a lifetime safari experience. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back!

Non existent as never got to go!
I have travelled with many travel companies and this is by far the worst experience so far. Extremely poorly organized, no help when in need of emergency assistance and incredibly rude customer service that shouted over me on the phone at me. Due to the poor organization we were unable to go on our trip and there wasn't a cent refunded or credit noted.

Excellent Safari in Kenya
We spent 6 days on a tour in Kenya with Ravina Tours, which we booked online from home, our tour covered the Masai Mara, Amboseli and Lake Nakuru, our driver was Franc who is a great guide, very friendly, flexible and patient. His driving skills were incredible on some of the tough roads leading into the parks and his knowledge of the animals was amazing and it was nice to share a love of animals with our enthusiastic guide. Franc also knew the parks very well which ensured we saw much more than we could of imagined.
Franc not only gave us an insight into the animal kingdoms but also was incredibly open and insightful when we asked about local life, customs and his culture.
I would not hesitate in recommending Franc as a guide he made our time in Kenya so memorable, if you have a bit of sense of adventure and you don't mind roughing it at times then this is the safari for you, it was very good value for money.
I only other feedback that I would give is that at the time of booking and confirming all the payments and details, the email communication broke down a little and there was a bit of a delay in receiving a response, but other than this everything else was great and I have not hesitation in recommending that you go ahead and book your safari with Tom Ravina Tours and Travel.
Long days waiting for overstretched drivers
Dismayed to discover everyone in our jam-packed car was staying in different hotels rather far apart. That meant >1h every morning, afternoon, and evening to pick up and drop off one by one. Extremely long days (before 6h to beyond 20h) for the driver and the unlucky folks who were the first to be picked and the last to be dropped, often in traffic, day after day. Dismayed again to see the car was lacking safety belts, a door didn't work, the shocks were bad... dismayed yet again to discover we and many others were being shuffled from one driver to the next, waiting long hours on the side of the road for the driver and all the passengers to arrive from all different directions. One car was so overloaded the driver even had to leave luggage and come back for it after passengers were dropped off. The poor fellows do their best, calling each other, planning ahead, playing Tetris between all the various tour agencies dumping passengers on them, and they do a surprisingly good job given the circumstances, but it's no thanks to the agency. It seems to matter little which agent you book with. I imagine in high season there's enough cars turning around the country that you'll mostly be with people in the same hotel, and if part or all of your trip is to less frequented parks you might have less than a jam-packed car (as we did for the last leg of our week). If you want to be sure of a relaxed experience and some breathing room, book a private safari.
