A bucket list experience enhanced by the exceptional field (and office) personnel.
From Samantha's setup online to the exceptional field safari crew of Moola, Douglas, Bafani, and Keokeditswe (aka K. K.), Wilderness dawning hits a home run for tenting immersion safari. We did Okavango and Chobe areas ending in Livingstone Zambia. Although at my age tenting and cots is roughing it a bit, the crew made the experience as comfortable and exciting as possible. They also offer lodges and a houseboat experience with a little more comfort provided. The knowledge of our born and raised Botswana guide KK was unquestionable. We experienced every animal to be expected in the region, except for the elusive Cheeta. KK was even able to seek out a pair of newborn Lion kittens w. mom, hiding out under a dense thorn bush. The camp crew provided some of the best open fire cooking I have ever experienced. The fresh baked bread and cakes, and various cuisines were fantastic! Leopards (6), a pride of 24 lions, as well as many lesser groups or singles, hundreds of elephants, thousands of water buffalo and Impalla, water buck, Kudus, mongoose of several species, Ostrich, Hyena, wild dog packs, hundreds of colourful birds and Giraffes, Hippos, Crocs, Warthogs and much much more! The timing in October seemed good as well, with an extended dry season, verging on drought, just before the rains are to come. If I had any one thing to make issue with (small potatoes!), it would be the sticky zippers on the tents.

Amazing Safari with Amazing Memories
My husband and I just returned from an 11-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania, and we will enjoy "amazing memories" for the rest of our lives, thanks to the advice, planning, and execution provided by Anne and her staff. When we first started planning this safari, we were literally overwhelmed by the large number of safari companies and tours available. We chose Amazing Memories based on the favorable reviews it had received -- and without question, we made the right choice. From the very start, we knew that we were in excellent hands, as Anne was terrific to deal with. She replied to all of our e-mails promptly, answered all of our many questions, made appropriate suggestions, and customized our itinerary and accommodations to meet our budget. We were fortunate to meet Anne, and she is as wonderful in person as she sounds in her e-mails.
We spent 2 days in Ol Pejeta (great for viewing rhinos), 1 day at Lake Naivasha (hippos at night on the lawn of the country club were amazing), 3 days in Masai Mara, 2 days in Serengeti, 2 days in Ngorongoro, and 1 day in Amboselli (largest elephant herds that we saw). The lodgings Anne recommended in each location were excellent, staff was very friendly, buffets were plentiful and good. The most important thing, of course, were the game drives, and they were superb due to our outstanding guides. James was our guide in Kenya for the first leg of our safari and became our friend. He had an incredible skill in finding the various animals, and we saw the Big Five within the first few days of our safari. In addition, he was a wealth of information about the animals and their behavior, the areas through which we traveled, the various local tribes and villagers. Ikamba, our guide in Tanzania, and Daniel, our guide upon our return to Kenya, were similarly knowledgeable and personable. Aside from being great guides, they also were great drivers on the often challenging trails in the game parks and knew how to position the vehicles for optimal photos. Moreover, they "shepherded" us through the border crossings and made sure that our check-ins at our various lodgings went smoothly. Since so much time is spent with the guides and the success of the game drives depends on them, it is critical that they be top-notch, and James, Ikamba, and Daniel certainly were.
One final note. Planning a safari (especially for the first time) can be daunting, and choosing the right tour operator can make the difference between a marvelous experience and a mediocre one. Amazing Memories Safaris lives up to its name -- it is truly amazing and does not disappoint. Our safari was as perfect as a vacation can be, and we are grateful to Anne and Amazing Memories for making it so. We recommend them most highly and without reservation.

Alan was a movement essayist for very nearly 20 years, working for Lonely Planet and other travel distributers. He composed and added to numerous manuals on Africa, especially southern Africa - the African district he originally visited, regardless it weaves its enchantment on him. Alan recollects distinctively his first attacks into African national stops and being enthralled by the natural life - from watching the conduct of randy smaller person mongoose through to relaxing panthers and snorting hippos at dusk. What's more, it was in Zambia - lion following in Kafue, and being overwhelmed with elephants in the Lower Zambezi, specifically - where he got mindful of exactly how wild Africa can be. Alan thinks of it as a benefit to have the option to watch the connection of African untamed life in their common territory and adores just investing energy in Africa's wild places, where the tables are frequently turned: creatures wander unreservedly and individuals are in confines (vehicles)!
In 2016 Alan joined the group at SafariBookings as their Director of Content, where he cheerfully works with the most pleasant individuals on the planet (or if nothing else in Holland).
In view of a lifetime of movement, Alan established RoundTrip Foundation where he started advancement extends in Africa and Asia. The witticism of his association is that explorers need to give back so as to finish their adventure. An idea he holds near his heart.

Great Safari
Had a great trip to Murchinson falls with Cedrick, Nelson and Joel. They made sure I got to see everything I wanted. In addition to driving, Nelson also told me a lot about the places and the animals.
My trip was spontaneous, I only planned it two days before it started and I traveled alone. Still they managed to do the trip with short notice and for the same price.
Cedrick arranged a hotel in Kampala for the night before the trip for a fair price and even offered to drive me there if necessary.
They also dropped me of in Entebbe after the trip was over.

Well organised experience that delivered what Matoke commited to
My initial enquiery was responded to by Pasqal Lorna who subsequently put together a gorilla tour for us. Paperwork for the tour and plane tickets were delivered to us by email and Pasqal maintained communications with me for the duration of the tour. We traveled from Entebbe to Kisori by air. The driver and vehilce provided for our tour was in good order. Patrick was always punctual and skilled at driving on bad roads and wet conditions. We stayed at Mutanda lodge wich has the most beutifull views over the lake and volcanoes and can highly recommend this lodge. The gorrila tour was an amazing experience on its own. We had a very good experience with Matoke and will make use of their services again.

Unforgettable experiences and an amazing guide!
We chose Transtrek Safaris based on the company's reviews and the swift and open communication with Daniel and we were definitely not sorry! We have done a fair bit of travelling around the globe, but we can honestly say that our private 9-day safari in Kenya was the best holiday we've had so far! We visited Amboseli, Tsavo West, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara, and all 4 places were diverse and very beautiful. Our stay in Tsavo West was our absolute favourite. We could see different animals (elephants, giraffes, hyenas, zebras, wild dogs, etc.) come to the hotel's water hole, which was incredible to watch.
Evans, our guide, contributed greatly to the amazing experience with his knowledge (this man is a walking encyclopedia!), sense of humour, and support overall! We can't recommend this company and Evans highly enough!
