Once in a lifetime experience
We booked with the Umkumbe Bush Lodge in Sabi Sands and to say it was incredible is an understatement. We saw SO many amazing animals right at arms length most of the time, the place is truly wild. The staff at Umkumbe were excellent and very professional, very informative, and they tried day in and day out to ensure that their guests had an experience if a lifetime! Some exceptional mentions were Pieter, Chloe, Drizzle, and Leo, they were great! Can't wait to go back again.

Great experience
The safari with suricata was value for money. I had a great communication with Hilary who replied quickly to everything I asked. Edgar was our driver and he was fantastic with 22 years of experience and great knowledge of the animals and how to spot them. The camping sites were great but the toilets weren't well maintained by the government.

Most Authentic Tour
At the beginning of the 2023 we decided to go out in a wild. We booked our tour with Fred! At the beginning we didn't know what we want but slowly in touch with Fred he helped us to organize to our interest and finally we got what we wanted. We started to experience the taste of our tour the moment they picked us from the airport. We were taken to the view point of Mt Kilimanjaro and this was not on the itenary, from there on we kept on getting surprise after surprise untill the last minute of our tour. I highly recommend this operator.

We recently went on a 7 Day custom Safari tour in Tanzania with Lion King Adventures, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The wildlife sightings were simply amazing, and we were fortunate enough to see so many different animals in their natural habitats. We saw lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, various antelopes, hyenas, jackals, foxes, hippos, crocodiles, and countless varieties of birds. It was a true feast for the eyes!
We stayed at some lovely lodges arranged by Lion King Adventures, which were safe and comfortable. The lodges were surrounded by elephants, Wildebeest, zebras, bucks, cheetahs, and leopards, but the staff took great care to ensure our safety at all times.
The service provided by Lion King Adventures was top-notch from start to finish. Caroline was extremely helpful with the initial process and communication, and Pendo devised a great itinerary and did all the bookings to the luxury lodges we stayed at. A special mention goes to our guide, Gama, who was simply fantastic. He made the trip more fun with his smile and enthusiasm, and he was one of the best guides anyone could have asked for. Gama was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, and he made sure that we saw all the Big 5 game animals and many more. He was great at showcasing the best that Tanzania parks safari has to offer, and he was always ready to answer any questions we had about the wildlife or the parks.
Overall, I can't recommend Lion King Adventures enough. The team went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our trip was taken care of, and they truly made it a trip of a lifetime. Thank you to Caroline, Pendo, and Gama for making this such a special experience!

Fantastic Safari Experience
We had a phenomenal experience with Gorilla O’clock. In Kenya, Paul took over a booking from a different company that had failed to deliver as promised. He got us into better accommodations and sent Simon as our guide. Simon always seemed to know exactly where to go on every game drive, and we never had a single disappointing outing.
We continued to work with Paul in Uganda and had a superlative trip. Paul made a point of reconfirming every single lodge reservation and designing our itinerary exactly to our specifications. The gorilla treks were amazing, though some of the other activities - horseback riding safari, boat trips, chimpanzee treks - were also incredible. I highly recommend a minimum of 2 weeks in Uganda, and add on another country before or after.
Gorilla O’clock provided the trip of a lifetime and I can’t wait to get back to East Africa for another adventure with them!

In January 2023, my wife and I embarked upon a long-planned trip to Kenya and Tanzania with Shadows of Africa. Alona helped us plan the trip and created an amazing introduction video that sold me on Shadows of Africa. We wanted to travel mid-range and the camps and hotels selected were perfect for our needs. Our guides, Peter, Edwin and Ken were knowledgeable, experienced and were responsible for the amazing game viewings that we had. I have only good things to say about Shadows of Africa - highly recommend!
