About: Kenya
It exceeded my expectations
Overall rating
5/5

Despite reading that December might not be the best month, we have had a great time.
The weather has been great, it only rained a couple of times during the night.

Nairobi is a mix of old and new, poverty and wealth, a painful clash.

The scenery and wildlife are unbeatable, especially if you spend the nights in tented camps and mix with the locals.

The road network is complicated and the traffic is a major issue. It takes way longer than expected to move from a to b. Double the time that Google maps tells you.

The only downside: merchants insist too much with selling items to tourists at extortionate rates, steer away from the "curio shops" and be prepared for maasai women standing outside park entrances asking for money - whilst it is understandable that they need to make a living, it becomes uncomfortable after you had to say no a million times.

Easy Travel & Tours Ltd, the most relievable.
5/5

I have been lucky enough to travel to 5 different continents and to a handful more countries using a multitude of travel agencies. But, Lizbeth Gabriel from Easy Travel & Tour is a cut above the rest. She personally curated a 6-day safari for us in the Serengeti, Ngorogoro, Ndutu, and Tarangire NPs. From the moment we touched down in Africa she welcomed us with open arms and took the time out of her busy schedule to greet us personally on the first day we were in Arusha. Thereafter, she checked in with us every day during our safari to make sure everything was taken care of for us.
Our guide was Ombeni Moses. He is well knowledgeable about all the parks and animals within Tanzania, and educated us about the local culture and tribes throughout this beautiful country. HIs humor, passion and love for his work and country are sure to make for an amazing time in his jeep. He even taught us how to speak a little bit of his mother tongue, Swahili (i.e. Pole Pole, Asante sana, Karibu, Poa Poa, etc.). My wife, my three kids, and myself had the most amazing experience with Ombeni and consider him to be part of the family.

I HIGHLY recommend using Easy Travel and asking for Lizbeth and Ombeni to take care of your trip. Tanzania is the most beautiful country and I hope you are lucky enough to visit the tremendous places we did. The people and the country are so grateful for travelers and it shows each and every day with their high spirited and ever smiling personalities.

Expertly Tailored Bucket List Vacation to Tanzania's National Parks and Zanzibar - Stacy Readal
5/5

Stacy Readal of Alika Africa/Duma Explorer is an absolute treasure! She planned a bucket list of 3 weeks of vacation for our family to Tanzania's National Parks in the North Circuit and a beach vacation at Zanzibar that exceeded all of our expectations.

Stacy is an American, residing in San Francisco. She has over 15 years of living and working in Africa, including extensive travel throughout the continent and fluency in Swahili. She knows exactly what families like ours are looking for in a safe, luxurious, and fun vacation in Africa. She used her unique understanding of both America and Africa to design a custom bucket list vacation for our family.

As a professional and an expert in her field, she demonstrated high availability, and her communication was top-notch. Despite the time zone difference (while we were in Tanzania and Stacy was in CA), she was always available to answer our questions and connect with us.

Her attention to detail and high-touch experience made us feel truly special. She went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met, and she even helped us with special requests such as Indian vegetarian food and Masala Chai. Her ability to negotiate great deals with luxury tent operators was impressive, and she made sure that all of our local flights and transportation were seamless and hassle-free.

The National Parks that Stacy organized for us to visit in Tanzania were nothing short of breathtaking. From the lush and diverse landscapes of Arusha, to the vast and wild expanse of Tarangire and the Serengeti, to the otherworldly beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater, every park offered a unique and unforgettable experience. And the true highlight of our trip was the time we spent at the beaches of Zanzibar. The crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand were like something out of a dream.

Her team on the ground in Tanzania was friendly, and professional, and provided top-notch service. Omary, Milcah, Robert, Isack, and especially our Tour guide Ben were always available to answer our questions and provide assistance, and they made sure that our trip was an unforgettable experience. Stacy's leadership and her team's dedication to their clients is truly remarkable. We felt well taken care of throughout our entire trip, and we couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful memories we made.

I highly recommend Stacy, her team, and Alika Africa/Duma Explorer to anyone looking to plan a dream vacation to Africa. She is an expert in her field and will go above and beyond to make sure that you have an amazing experience. Five stars all around!

Affordable but very professional company
5/5

We are a couple and we did a 5 days/4 nights Safari. It was a precious and unforgettable experience also thanks to our super guide Rama. We saw a lot of animals in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. They also allowed us to make a last minute switch from Lake Manyara to a cultural tour in Mto Wa Mbu and it totally worth it! All the accomodotion were nice and comfortable.

flexible and friendly
4/5

it was quick and easy to book a tour. For the luxury suites the places were not suitable for the amount of money. The best thing about the Tour was our Guide Jeff. We were more than happy to had him. My friend recommended me to him because they were so happy with him too. He does everything that please you and try to satisfy all his guests. Thanks to him we got to see many things that are rare to see like a lepard or 13 lions killing one big anthilope from the first row!
I would recommend this tour without the luxury version and a 4x4 car with Jeff!

Amazing experiences in beautiful Kenya
5/5

We have taken many trips around the world mostly using travel agencies. However, we decided to try and hire someone locally this time around which was daunting and a bit scary. After much research online, we narrowed down our options to a handful of companies and finally decided on "Best Memory Safaris' mainly because of high reviews at first and later because it was so easy to tailor the trip to our needs and wants, the highly rated accommodations and the excellent customer service we received from Issac. I am so glad we made this choice!
From our pickup at the airport at 5:00AM on day #1 to our drop off after 12 days of safaris went without a hitch and was probably one of the best trip we have made. The experience was above and beyond what we expected. The accommodations were beautiful, clean, safe and we were always met with friendly staff and the food was amazing.
One of the best parts of the trip was our guide Michael without whom I am not sure we would have seen the wildlife we saw and experienced numerous awe inspiring moments almost every single day. We never once felt rushed or unsafe during the trip. Michael was an excellent safe driver which we were thankful for after seeing some drivers racing by us!! He knew the ins and outs of all the six parks we visited and has excellent knowledge of the wildlife.
We experienced amazing moments such as a pride of lionesses with their cubs lazing around, two lionesses sleeping while the cubs played in a nearby bush, three male Lions probably guarding their pride, a mating couple just next to our jeep etc etc. We even experienced a Lion guarding his overnight hunt which was a buffalo and a wildebeest!! It was amazing to see herds of beautiful elephant families passing right by us, behind our accommodations (with electric fences) etc etc almost daily. We saw two types of rhinoceros with their families, different types of giraffes, buffalos, hippos, antelopes, flamingos, pelicans and other birds, we saw one beautiful cheetah walking in the savannah, but the most amazing of all was when we saw a cheetah kill towards the end of our trip. We saw it lay eyes on its prey a poor dik-dik, lay in wait for it, capture it and enjoy its meal!! Michael somehow hear about this cheetah sighting and got us there in time to see it all!! Asantae Sana Michael.
Almost forgot the beautiful people of Kenya we met along the way including the two Maasai bomas. Unforgettable trip!

Meet dik-dik, playing lions, hippo and grieving mother elephant - meet Ruaha
5/5

Many companies offer safari tours, companies with skills and
lots of experience.
Kitonga Tours & Safaris in Ruaha National Park offers both, but first of all a warm and friendly attitude, and deep respect and love for all animals and the nature around them.
Ruaha is a lovely place, a huge, beautiful, wildlife-rich national park.
We drove in on Christmas Eve, met immediately four playing and proud lions, a grieving mother elephant - just lost her baby - and the tallest and sweetest giraffe
‘ever’.
Our guides Given and Alex were outstanding. Steady, calm, informing and dedicated, with lots of humor.
Our four days and three nights in wild Ruaha will remain a solid milestone in our lives. The tripping hippos. Sleeping crocodile. And hungry leopard. And the sweet ranger following us to the bandas at night with a kalashnikov in her fist. We could meet an eating hippo around, dining after dark. Or just a lion.

Warm and kind regards to Given, Alex, Paul and Salom at Kitongas.

Best,
Katinka, Truls, Jeanette and Per Ola

Very well organised - I felt well looked after all the time
5/5

It was my first time travelling to Madagascar and with Malasya Travel.
Since I wanted to travel the western part in November I did some intensive research and was very lucky to find Nary and his team. I could dicsuss all my ideas and wishes and I ended up with a program that included everything I wanted to see. Even before and during the trip they were always flexible and I really felt the Malagasya team wanted me to be happy and enjoy Madagascar.
In addition, the hotels were excellent, my guide Coco was very knowledgable (especially about birds) and the driver Christian was very experienced and a reliable and fun guy on top of that. Even when we had a problem with a tire and an early flooding crossing our path - everything was taken care of in a relaxed but efficient manner, allowing me to enjoy every mile of the journey.
On the last night of my trip, Nary and Riantsoa even invited me to a nice restaurant in Antananarivo, ensuring a perfect end to a fantastic adventure.
While it was not a cheap vacation, I can only thank the great people I met along the way and can definitely recommend a Madagascar trip with Malagasya travel.
