What can I say. We had a blast in Uganda. My friend and I. Suzan of Ngege Safaris arranged the perfect itinery for our week! Bless her for her patience for dealing with a person like me who decides to change course from minute to minute. But alas, Suzan did not fail us. She gave us the mid range tour we could have asked for. She allocated guide Jackson to us. And this man is not only honest, but he will do whatever is in his power to make sure you get that winning shot! Whether it's Chimps in Kibale, elephants on the Kazinga Channel or Gorillas in Bwindi Impenitrable Forrest. Jackson makes sure you do it all and do it in comfort, safety and the spirit of adventure. All of our accommodations were perfectly to the standard we expected and despite being a mid range tour most accoms felt much for comfortable. We had just come from a week in Tanzania where we used safari land cruisers.. So we were a bit unsure how we would fare in the combi van pop top.. But alas, it was way more comfortable than the land cruiser.. And as there was just the two of us, ample room to sleep on those long road journeys between destinations. So my reccomendation... Take the combi if there's 3 people in your group or less. Thank me for it later. And yes, they can go everywhere the land cruiser can go. Keep in mind all roads between destinations are tarred and paved and very comfortable.. They only get bumpy once in the parks. Uganda is surprisingly more developed than we expected which added to the comfort level and feeling of safety and security all round. Many tourists were even self driving, such is the confidence in safety and security in Uganda. Although for a first visit I'd definately reccomend a tour! You will not regret it. We were going on a safari trip to Kenya and initially I contacted four different agencies to get their quotes. In terms of price, the three agencies were roughly the same, but when we looked more closely at the offers, African Sermon Safaris seemed to contain the most and with the highest quality. So we chose them and had a fantastic trip where we were well taken care of all the way.
The information before the trip was accurate and appropriate and was followed up afterwards.

Amazing experience
We booked a 6-Day Safari. The program is very good and balanced. Our Driver was Emanuel. He was always friendly and kind. He showed ous many animals and provided us with all the information we asked for. He always did his best to make this safari amazing. Eric always stayed in contact with us.
The accommodations were good. I personally loved the camp in the serengeti the most.
We saw many many animals, the highlights were a cheetah with cups, two leopards, lion cups an Hyenas eating.
Also the experience with the Hadzabe Tribe was amazing. We visited them, shoot with bow an arrow and danced with them. It was interesting to see the life of this tribe.
Everthing was amazing. We had an unique experience. We would always book the Safari with MsangaiAdventures again! Thank you so much!

Darren was introduced to me by a good friend in SA. Compass Odyssey's reputation it seems, was well established.
They lived up to that reputation over and over again!
We wanted a safari experience in Greater Kruger, Zambia and Zimbabwe and, although I had previously worked in Southern Africa for many years, we decided to let CO (Compass Odyssey) put together a trip of a lifetime. They did not disappoint!
Once Darren and I agreed on a budget (in our case, upper mid-scale) he went ahead and developed a wonderful itinerary, the experiences from which, we will talk-about and reflect on for the rest of our lives!
Darren was very patient with our needs. Initially, friends said they would join us on the trip, and Darren spent many hours trying to find lodges that could take a group of nine! In the end, we just travelled as one family which assisted the process immensely. Not once did Darren show any frustration at the number of people, which was changing constantly in the early planning.
CO also has a great advantage in being able to provide ground support teams for airport transfers, safari transfers and support expertise at national borders; Alan in Johannesburg, Mortimer and his family who assisted us in Zambia and Zimbabwe. Wonderful people and so less stressful when one has local expertise to assist with these processes!
If ever we have another opportunity to travel to southern Africa, I would not hesitate to call CO again to put something together. The trip was spectacular, the value excellent, and they are fantastic people to deal with!
