We booked everything on line with email communication and paid via wire transfers from our bank to theirs. It was all very easy and straightforward. We told them which parks we’d like to see and they arranged the whole package for us. They picked us up at the Arusha airport and we were taken for an in person briefing with Emmanuel, who also personally debriefed us at the end. From the time we arrived to the time we left, African Big Cats Safari took care of everything—all transportation, meals, lodging and fees. We just had to show up every morning and enjoy the beauty of Tanzania. Our Maasai guide Levoi was amazing—he was so knowledgeable about so much—animals, flora, fauna and birds. He even saw a sleeping bat in the shade of the tree! He took great care of us during our week with him. Levoi also taught us so much about the culture and history of the area. We would not hesitate a moment to book again with this company. It’s a tremendous value (we chose “comfort” level and stayed in great tented camps and lodges). There are so many safari companies in Tanzania, it’s daunting to chose one, but African Big Cats Safari is definitely a fantastic and safe choice.

Lucas is so knowledgeable and experienced in the parks, was great with our young kids too.
Lucas was an amazing guide for our family in Serengeti and Ngorogoro. He knew all the best spots to go, was so flexible with our young kids. He taught us all so much and was a great role model and teacher for our kids to learn about the biodiversity in the parks. We would strongly recommend him to others.

We went with Jocky Tours and Safaris on three safaris.To Masai Mara, Amboseli and Nairobi National Parks.Our guide Raheem was the best. He drove closely to big lions family, a large herds of elphants and rhinoceros families in Nairobi Park. It was our best safaris. We definitely go agaian with Jocky!

The tour guy was nice but demanded extra pay.
I booked the tour through TripAdvisor, securing it for the listed price of $85 for the 6:30 tour. However, the organizer contacted me via WhatsApp on the evening of the tour, stating he would pick me up at 6:15. Upon arrival, he proceeded to pick up other participants from a different hotel before reaching the park gate. To my surprise, he then requested an additional $45, catching me off guard. Reluctantly, I agreed to pay in cash upon our return to my hotel, complying with the unexpected demand.
To further add to the frustration, we were left waiting for approximately 40 minutes at the park gate, with no communication about the delay. Eventually, the tour commenced. My concern lies in the discrepancy between the advertised price paid online and the unanticipated extra charge in person. This unexpected financial request and lack of transparency about delays were disappointing aspects of an otherwise anticipated experience.

Albert is a great guide with perfect navigation skills
We took 4 day tour for Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Our guide was Albert who had a good navigation of Masai Mara national park, thanks to what we could see almost all big inhabitant's of the park. A big thanks to Albert. The camp in Masai Mara was facilitated enough to accommodate you in 2-3 days. It was a tent with built in shower and toilet with hot water running all the time. Lucy and Gladyce were very welcoming and smiley hosts. Also big thanks to Morris who was in constant contact with me and took us from hotel in Nairobi to the meeting point. Overall, we had an amazing experience and recommend this tour if you want to experience safari in Kenya.
