Adorable - professional - respectful
5/5

One of the most beautiful trips I have ever done .
Extra miles give you a secure ride among the most beautiful parts of Kenyan Nature and landscapes .
Our tour Guide Graham and his colleague Flada were such an amazing company. Beautiful people inside - out .

We saw the most beautiful flora and fauna . All animals such as mammals , birds , hippos, giraffes !

I really recommend visiting Kenya , but most importantly choosing Extra Miles , in order to live the true Kenyan culture .

Budget safari tour of excellent standards
5/5

Budget safari tour of excellent standards. You spent 2 nights in a nice hotel/lodge, and 3 nights in safari campsites, where you are guaranteed the most beautiful sunrises. The food is so tasty and varies from every meal! (beer + wine is also included :)) - both the guide/driver and the chef were so kind, open and helpful with everything, you might need. I am diabetic, and thus I was worried that I could not keep my insulin cool and safe during the day. However, there is a little fridge in the vehicle, which was perfect for storing my medicine - it was genuinely an incredible experience, that you don’t want to miss out on!

The best of the best outfitter!!
5/5

I had a quarter life crisis and booked this trip four weeks prior to start date. Great Lake Expedition from the get-go was 10/10 with their communication and support leading up to the trip. Every single staff member is phenomenal at what they do. I personally appreciated the support shown prior to leaving the hotel for the mountain where an equipment check is done to ensure you will have everything you need for the trip. The rental equipment is top quality and I ended up renting a sleeping bag, trekking poles, and an extra jacket. It feels counter-intuitive to pack such cold-weather gear for Africa but I am telling you it is COLD COLD COLD after Day two. My best tips for summit night is to have a downloaded playlist with motivational music, a downloaded David Goggins podcast or any other podcasts that pre-occupy your mind.

Our guides William and Jocky were 10000% professionals and so helpful and caring. Our waiter Swalehe was always looking after every need, The porters were extremely kind and athletic. Another tip is to bring extra snacks, I loved being able to share my candy and granola bars with the team as a small token of gratitude to the hard work they put in to make out trip memorable.

Traveling with a man who knows his country, its history and nature, and will joke around a lot!
5/5

When we booked with ABCS, we had no idea what to expect. But let me assure you: this locally organized and operated company (which was important to us, no foreign investor middle-man) will make you feel very special and give you a tour you won’t forget!
We traveled for almost 5 days with Endeni, who knows everything there is to know about Tanzania, nature and the wildlife. He’ll take care of you when you need to mark your territory in the wild and the African road massages were the best ! (You’ll get it once you’ve been there ;) ). We also talked a lot about life and family as it works in our country (Switzerland) and Tanzania. Very interesting exchange with a good new friend! Also, Endeni and the other guides are in constant contact to each other in order to find the best spots with the rarest animals all the time on your safari. You’ll be in great hands and are up for the best possible experience.
The company is very reliable, answers quickly and the money transfer worked out perfectly. The accommodations are all clean, the food is very good and whenever there are potential dangers (animals) near your sleeping site you’ll be accompanied by Massais to your room. You’ll be safe all day long.
All in all: highly recommend!

Excellent...Highly recommended!
5/5

I would highly recommend travelling with Lance and Kirsten. What an exceptional team! Always ready to go the extra mile. Lance and Kirsten are kind, patient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for what you taught me Lance. What an awesome safari. Panthera Photo Safaris also play a big role towards the ani-poaching of Rhino.

Fantastic service and excellent Tour
5/5

We are just back from an incredible few days in Pilanesberg booked via MMilo Tours, and I cannot recommend them enough.
From the time of enquiry Patrick was very responsive and detailed, and personalised the packages he had to meet our requirements, with a very short notice (it was a last minute trip planned with only a couple of weeks of advance).
We had an issue with our flight into JNB on the day of departure and had to make some tweaks to the plan - Patrick was extremely helpful and made it very easy to adjust the trip, making it so much less stressful for us.
Norman was our guide - extremely professional, knowledgeable and a very pleasant company. He was easy to contact and responsive before and during our stay, making the all experience seamless and worries-free.
The safari lodge MMilo proposed to us as an alternative to the one we enquired for - which was fully booked - was also excellent (Tshukudu Bush Lodge).

A great experience from beginning to end
5/5

While we booked based on cost I don't know how a more expensive trip with a different tour operator could have delivered more. Our guide, Richard was the nicest guy and knew so much about the animals. We saw so many animals. I think we saw 35 lions between the three parks we visited.

A recommendation to anyone thinking of booking a trip... we booked a jeep and those things go through anything. We said repeatedly how glad we were not to have booked a van, it would have struggled in spots. So spend a little extra on the jeep and you will be glad you did.

We had a wonderful experience with Great Kenya Tours. We booked a 5days safari for four people. From the start ,they were very professional, they arranged everything for us and the gave us a brand new 4×4 landcruiser. David was our safari guide. He was very knowledge and ensured we saw all the animals . We visited both Nakuru national park and Masai mara. Our experience with Great Kenya tours was exceptional,we will be back in masai mara during great migration.

Amazing
5/5

We have traveled with Bateleur Eagle Safaris many times. It is a very good company with nice people. They are always on time and very well organized. Mathew always greets us at the airport with a big smile. And if we have special wishes, he will arrange it quickly. Our regular driver Geoffrey is always polite and nice with good humor. He has answers to all the questions we have and very knowledgeable. He knows the most about all the animals and should there be something he does not know he checks it out. He also sees the animals long before we do and finds good photo motifs. He is also a very good driver. We have again had an unforgettable trip and would highly recommend Bateleur Eagle Safaris

Once in a lifetim
5/5

Once in a lifetime….
January 2014 we (My wife, me and another couple) did a trip through the south of Malawi. We travelled by bicycle and were supported by a SUV which was able to take our bikes. The whole vacation was organized by Malawian Style (who have recently rebranded as Crafted Africa) who did a great job. After spending a night just out of the capital Lilongwe. We were heading direction Dedza. From Dedza to Mangochi where we first saw the beautiful lake. For those who think a lake is just a lake have no idea of the beauty of Lake Malawi. This freshwater lake (3rd biggest of Africa) full of cichlids is a paradise for divers, snorkelers and many watersports. Most divers are mostly interested in salt water because of the diversity but believe me Lake Malawi gets close. It’s not my plan to give you a day by day review but beside the lake there were other wonderful highlights like the two safari parks we visited: Liwonde and Majete.
Liwondo NP
Even in January during rain season it was amazing to see such a diversity of wildlife. But even more special was the fact that we were almost alone in the park. So no queue when something special showed up. We were the only once seeing it.
We cycled a8km climb to the Zomba plateau during the hottest part of the day and our mountain bikes where not those light 29inch bikes you find now. They were basic and quite heavy. On the plateau is a nice forest and at some points you can overview the most southern point of the great rift valley.
The Moulanje mountains was another highlight. We hiked 3 days passing amazing nature with forest and waterfalls 100m high.

It is a heavy climb with lots of ladders made to over climb big rocks. We spend the nights in basic cabins where the team organized a nice dinner. The Moulanje mountains are just above the 3000 m but our hike didn’t go over the top.
After the mountains we spend the night at Huntington house. A lodge in the Thyolo district known as the Satemwa thee district. Huntington house is the old colonial house reinstalled as a wonderful lodge and perfect to relax after staying tree days in the bush.
On the way back we had two overnights at two idyllic islands on the lake Mumbo and Blue Zebra. Where we were able to enjoy the wonderful lake once more. Swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and relaxing was on the program.
As I m a traveler who traveled to more wonderful countries in Europe, South America, Asia and of course Africa (What was always my favorite continent) Malawi gave me a special feeling. The beauty, the friendly people, the diversity and the magic lake. I had a feeling I could live there forever. In 2018 I went back to see if there where possibilities and yes, I bought some land at the lake in last year I started building my own lodge along the lake in Leopard Bay. Joma Adventure Lodge will be opening by the end of the year. For those who are interested, I don’t have a website yet but you can follow us on Facebook on the page ‘Joma Adventure Lodge – The construction’
