Great experience
5/5

We had a wonderful experience. The organization is very well managed from start to finish. The vehicle is perfectly adapted. Our guide was great with very good communication, excellent food. We regret not staying longer in the parks.

About: Zambia
Wonderful Zambia
Overall rating
5/5

Zambia is a country that I had not ventured but perhaps I was saving it to understand it’s beauty after having visited many of the more frequented African countries.

The Zambezi River is a phenomenal place to get close to wildlife via canoe or motorboat. Watching a family of elephants swim across the river was special as was experiencing hippos so close. Don’t leave Zambia off your bucket list-you will be sorry!!

We arrived in Johannesburg and went on a 1 day safari the next day. We were picked up promptly at our hotel, but then spent a long time driving around the suburbs of JB, picking other group members. ( around 3hrs)
The safari was in ope n trucks and conducted by local guides. We saw 3 of the Big 5 ( no Buffalo, but a view of moving grass about 200m away, that we were told was a Leopard.Flew to Cape Town and joined a 3 day excursion, with just the 2 of us as travellers. I preferred this tour. Visited the Ostrich Farm, did some WineTasting, drove through some beautiful scenery and townships. Accommodation was mid range **s, but quite comfortable. Meals were organised by the tour operator, and except for one, were very nice.
The Cango caves tour was on Day 2. We opted for the adventure tour..... almost 3 km underground, some of it bent over or crawling on your stomach. At one point, we had to ascend through a "chimney" and then "post" ourselves through a "post box " slit, before sliding head first down the rock below. It was a lot of fun. Recommend you try the "templates"" up top before going on this tour. I'm really glad we did this element, rather than the normal cave tour. A traditional South African lunch, saw us served with Ostrich. Delicious
Another day safari, where we saw 4 Big 5 animals ( no Leopard), but did see a Cheetah and her cubs instead. A private park with no as much bush cover as the first Safari.but we appreciated seeing the animals up close.
Day trips from Cape Town included Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope, the Penguin Colony and some really nice seafood at Seapoint.
This was my 3rd trip to SA and I still get a buzz from seeing the animals in their natural habitat, as well as other local places.

The company that thinks of everything!

Safari Partners were fabulous! Our trip was complicated for several reasons, and Chris and Jen rolled with all the changes and requests. The administration was great, the choices they made for us were excellent. They listened really well to our requirements, and counselled us on changes as needed. The partners they used in Kenya and Tanzania were really good, with all the logistics taken care of smoothly for us. You won't be sorry you used them to design and organise your safari!

Amazing MUST DO experience
5/5

This tour was exactly what I needed.
It’s been my mom’s dream vacation to experience an African Safari and this tour delivered!
It was budget friendly which I really needed being that I was footing the entire bill for the two of us lol, while still providing priceless memories.
We got to see all of the big 5 on day 2/6!!!
Our guide was awesome though atm I can’t remember his name. Visiting the village was humbling and I’ll cherish the time spent.
You do have to get used to the tent life. There’s no power during majority of the day, cold showers, not much variety of food but this is a budget friendly tour. Win some, lose some lol.
I’d do it all over again with the exception of the first camp, would opt for the nicer stay up the street.
