An Amazing Week in Tanzania.
We just returned from our incredible trip with Benson Safaris. Our guide greeted us at the airport with a huge smile to begin our adventure. A 5 day trip is jam packed and a lot of driving, but the experience is once in a lifetime. Our guide made sure we saw everything we wanted (the Big 5 plus cheetahs, lots of hippos, hyenas...), as he was well connected with other guides and knew were all the best sightings were. After talking with other travelers we quickly realized that we were seeing more and WAY closer than most...we could have easily reached out and touched everything. Having everything pre-arranged made the trip seamless and our hotels were fabulous. Our teen sons both raved about the trip and said they would go again (which is high praise).

Highly recommended Safari!
We can only recommend Lomo Tanzania Safari. We always felt well taken care of, from the pick up at the airport to the drop off. The warm welcome from the lomo staff is something we will always remember. Our tour guide philipp was also great, we saw a lot of animals on the safaris and his knowledge is very exciting. The hotels were carefully selected and the food was very tasty. If I could give six stars, I would.

A budget safari with some challenges
We booked this safari well in advance with Donatus from 'selousrufijihippoadventure' who works with Ngalawa Camp. We tailor made the safari to be 4 days including a boat safari, 2 days of game drives in Nyerere, a visit to maasai village and a walking safari. Our day 1 drive from Dar Es Salaam to the camp took about 6hrs. It had rained the night before so our car got stuck in the mud twice and had to be pulled out with some help of locals. We also spent 2hrs just getting out of Dar as the "guides" went to do their foodbuy for the trip after picking us up. The person who was our driver was also told to be our "guide" but throughout the whole 4 days he did not give us any information and was purely the driver. In Ngalawa we got another local expert who joined us for the boat safari and the game drives. The boat safari was really nice and we enjoyed it a lot. On Day 2 we got a bit unlucky as it was raining and we didn't see so many animals during the game drive. In the morning we got stuck in the mud again and had to be pulled out with some help. To be noted, our safari car was not a 4 wheel drive so it got stuck very easily and our driver wasn't experienced with driving in mud. After lunch our driver headed to a route where we specifically told him not to go as we had seen the condition of the road. Immediately after we got stuck in the mud and spent the next 3hrs trying to push the car out of it without any success. Our local guide didn't have a radio to call for help and the mobile reception was coming and going. This part especially felt quite unsafe. He told us that some help was coming but didn't know when and after 3hrs trying to push the car out of the mud we ended up hitchhiking 50km on a truck to get to the gate of the park and to get out before dark. During the Day 3 game drive we told our driver to stay only on routes that didn't give us a chance to get stuck. Of course this limited our chances of seeing all possible animals. In the end of the day we visited a nearby maasai village. This visit wasn't really planned beforehand and the maasai didn't seem to know that we were coming. On Day 4 we did a morning walking safari with Didi who was a great character! He really made the walking safari very interesting and fun! The Ngalawa Camp itself was nice and the staff were friendly. It would have been nice to have a choice of dishes for meals instead of set plates. Our drive back to Dar took about 5hrs and in the end we had to renegotiate the price of the safari due to the circumstances.

Too good to be true
The best safari ever. So increible value for money. We weren't expecting this kind of guidance, accommodation and so wonderful places and animal-watching. It has been one of the best experiences in my whole life. Aruni, out driver and tour guide, was extremely helpful and kind. We will recommend it to everyone.

Most beautiful experience.
My Safari by Z was an experience i will never forget for the rest of my life. Perfect organization and my driver Oscar was the best choice one can have. I am so happy i could see all the beauty of the national parks and the accommodation at Niumbany collection camp was simply exceptional.

Awesome experience with SAWAS Team
The trip had taken the shortest route so it was actually easy, efficient and good value for money that we were going to pay for. Good it was, we spent a night at explore nature Mara getting ready for the best game drive in the morning. We had a promising guide mr shuma and exactly by six that was in the mornig we had set off for the game drive. Our guide was such amazing and so profession, he knew what to do and so even during game drive we were able to spot animals walking along …..Some we came close to such that we could take some photos to keep the evidence of this amazing journey and trip to Africa. We stop in the park watching the Hyena scavenging on the already dead buffalo that had been killed by the lion before the day. The hawks were all over waiting just for their moment to land on the remaining flesh..… The drive was amazing never did we have a breakdown at any point. This trip was generally planned and so on everything it is was worth paying for.
My gratitude goes to mr martin and mr shuma for the excellent safari highly recommend.
