Genuine hospitality; Stress-free itinerary; Unbelievable closeness to nature; Bring your camera!
5/5

James (our driver) and Paul (our booking contact ) did a great job of communicating out what we should plan for and expect. We found everything that was outlined in our contract to be as promised -- we were transported from and to the airport upon arrival in a private car; we had a snafu that Paul went the extra mile to help us work through when we got in the first night; we had our own private Land Cruiser that took us out each day on Safari and our driver tailored our itinerary to fit us perfectly (we had two small kids in tow and they were plenty entertained with all we discovered, even when driving five, 9+ hour days in a row!!); our driver communicated with his contacts in the area to make sure we saw The Big 5 and SO MUCH more; each night's accommodations were booked for us and there were no surprises or delays; all meals were provided and served by delightful and welcoming cooks/staff, and full of delicious local and international options that worked for everyone; our flight to Zanzibar was all arranged for us upon booking; and when we arrived on the island we had another private car waiting for us that drove us around Zanzibar and delivered us to our two different resort hotels and back to the airport at the end of our trip, on time with no problems.

There was so so much for us to do. If there was one thing we needed to think of that the company could have done better, it would have been to provide a better boxed-lunch choice on the first day's travel--every other day beyond that we got to choose our own goodies from a buffet available at the resorts each morning. BUT please, to all who are reading this, know that if this is the ONLY thing we can complain of, Tanzania Roadside Expeditions really did do a remarkable, 5-star job. Congratulations to them for proving that a local's touch is the most genuinely welcoming way to be received in a country as beautiful and bountiful as Tanzania.

They have made some great partnerships and your group will feel blessed as well to book the same. Our highlight was the Maramboi Camp where a giraffe, a pair of zebras, and countless wildebeest walked right in front of us (<20ft away) on our dirt path that led to the swimming pool. We really stayed among nature every night and never once felt in danger as there was a local private guard with us at night and all the animals really communicate the distance they require if you pay attention--again, even with two small children! Also, if we can recommend, use the company's advised route from Tarangire to Serengeti and then Ngorongoro--we saw so many animals back to back in Tarangire we were "stuffed" and then it made the "hunt" we experienced in the wide plains of Serengeti and the deep crater of Ngoronogo that much more full of anticipation and exploration-fun.

700+ pictures later we have incredible stories and memories to share and this trip was the highlight of our travels thus far. Do yourself a favor and book a seamless, stress-free and adventure-FULL trip with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. Your bucket list will thank you!

Not a single part of our experience with African Coast Travel & Tours could be improved.

I was very happy that Joseph booked us a one day safari from Victoria Falls that would usually be a two day excursion, but most impressed that it wasn't canceled when no other people booked, like a lot of other tours would. My wife and I ended up with a private tour! The tour guide was amazing the transfer driver from Vic Falls was amazing, we even stopped into Joseph's office the next day to say hi and he was amazing!

I fully endorse booking with African Coast travel & Tours!

The drivers were able to quickly get our group to locations where animals were located. Had a great experience viewing a lion many others. Efficiency, knowledge and familiarity with Nakuru was key to making our experience special.

Just perfect!

I am a Spanish solo traveller and booked a 12-day safari with Karibu Safaris and I can say that I am satisfied 100% with the experience. This has definitely been a trip in a lifetime!

My itinerary was all about covering as many national parks as possible and I am glad to have done so. Otherwise, I would have surely missed the chance to see some animals. The parks included Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Tarangire. I have seen ALL kinds of animals: the big five from a close distance (leopard and rhino are quite difficult to see) and others such as jackals, hyrax, adama lizards, crocodiles, hippos... We even had hyenas and mongoose freely wondering around our camp in Serengeti!

I have to say that as chaotic as the organization may seem, everything turns out fine at the end. Do not expect great communication or information from the company in the western european style. Neither do so with following your schedule as previously stated. Some changes are always made on the go, but at least in my case, always for the better. African people are most of the times nice and friendly and won't try to scam you. In my case, the company even arranged one extra day and were helpful at all times.

It was a fabulous experience as we visited four national parks and had a wonderful game viewing.

Magical Retreats and Adventures turned out to be an excellent service provider, taking care of our every need during the eight-day safari covering four national parks. The two guides we had during the tour were very friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our travelling and safari with them. Pamela was always in touch with us and took pains to ensure that nothing was lacking. The accommodation and the food during the safari were excellent. We enjoyed the safari thoroughly and also witnessed the great migration at maasai mara. On the whole, it was a lifetime trip.

Wonderful tour to Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti with Wild Secrets
5/5

My friends and I went for a 7 day safari to Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti in Tanzania with Wild Secrets Safaris which has turned out to be the most exciting adventure of my life.
Our travel contact Rashid was the best. He worked with us and came up with itinerary according to our wishes. The guide can make or break your safari; we count ourselves lucky that we had Nathan as our guide. He was just amazing!!! He was professional, dependable, great conservationist and a skilled driver. He drove very safely, following all the rules, and never exceeding the speed limits. He had a knack for spotting animals that we couldn’t see. He was very excited to point out the animals for us. With him, we saw rhinos, leopards, lions, and many more animals. He also showed us the 3 wildebeest crossings in just 2 days.
Our experience was heightened by the wonderful lodges that Rashid suggested and booked for us. They were wonderful pit stops after a day of game drives.
My friends and I are definitely going back to Tanzania with Wild Secrets Safaris and would want Nathan to be our guide again.

Barack looks after you very well
5/5

We went on the Nyiragongo tour organised by Barack. Barack was very helpful and organised everything we needed. He was conscious of limiting our costs which was great as we are backpackers. He welcomed us into his home and drove us to the starting point himself. Thanks for looking after us Barack!

Amazing Safari with KWESA
5/5

We have just returned from a wonderful summer vacation safari in Tanzania. Lazaro Edward the director of Kilimanjaro Wonders Expeditions Safari was personally involved in planning our safari. He was patient as we must have exchanged over 50 emails before we agreed on a 10 day itinerary to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater together with a cultural visit to Bushmen tribes and a hot air balloon morning ride.
We had Goodluck as our guide and driver. Goodluck became my kids’ hero. He was a talented driver and guide. He knew exactly where to find the animals that by the end of our trip we had seen more animals than we expected including all the big 5 and some rare finds like a pack of wild dogs in Tarangire, a Pangolin in Serengeti, leopard with its kill, lions mating, a lot of birds. The experience with the Bushmen with Goodluck as our intermediary was very wonderful with their simple way of life dances, showing us their hunting spears, arrows, huts made of wild leaves, bark cloth, caves.
I am very grateful to Kilimanjaro Wonders Expeditions Safari for the wonderful experience and when we return we will definitely use Kilimanjaro Wonders Expeditions Safari.
