6-Day Classic Best of Kenya 2019
This was an amazing experience, truly satisfying for anyone who enjoys wildlife. This was really a 4-day safari, since day one was spent nearby Nairobi and day six was the return to Nairobi. Ideally, this should have been a +1 day safari to spend one additional day at Lake Nakuru, since each day of travelling takes half day drive. To sumarize, this first day of safari was a 6-hour drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park )100% Savannah), where we stayed at Amboseli Sopa Lodge. The second day was a 8-hour drive from Amboseli to Lake Nakuru (100% Jungle), where we stayed at Flamingo Hill. The third day was a 6-hour drive to Masai Mara (75/25 Savannah/Jungle) where we stayed at Loyk Mara Camp.
Overall we were lucky enough to see the big five in two afternoons, which was fortunate, to say the least. Our guide (Sami) was 5 stars and had full knowledge of all paths and wildlife.
The only complain we had was twofold: 1) as we were being dropped at our hotel in the last day, our guide asked us 15 USD for gas, which was odd, since we had paid for everything but the tips; 2) we were briefed about the tips, including the tip to the guide, which we were told that should be between 5 and 10 USD per day; being very satisfied with our experience, we thought 70 USD would be an adequate tip, but the guide demanded a 100 USD tip, stating that was the amount referred by the company. We ended up paying the 100 USD, since we were very pleased with the performance of our guide and did not wanted to offend him. Nevertheless, we thought that we were not given adequate information on how exactly guide tips work.
Overall, the experience was amazing and the only thing I would recommend other people to do for this exact route is to extend the trip for one extra day and spend 2 days at Lake Nakuru, since a 3-hour afternoon is short for the potential of such an amazing jungle.
Definitely do it!

Well organised private safari with excellent driver/guide and a very competent private chef.
We did Tarangire - Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Was a wonderful experience and we saw a lot of wildlife. I can highly recommand others to book with this organisation. Price-Quality is very good. The quality of the jeep and the camping materials was very good. Our guide was fantastic and knew a lot about where to find wildlife and backgroundinformation. Although roads were very bumpy, our driver was very experienced.
Our private cook cooked delicious meals and was very supportive and helpful.

Africa Safari Holiday
We were able to travel in our own vehicle without the constraints of a group for a good price. I had researched independent travel companies and safari group holidays, but I couldn't find what I was looking for until a friend recommended Safari hub. After speaking with them and getting decent advice an itinerary was created and off, we were. No regrets - a memorable trip.

Perfect Family Adventure
We traveled with our Two young children to South Africa for almost a month, and are so pleased that we used Native Escapes for our bookings. As well as helping us design the trip, they took care of all of the logistics; flights, transfers, accommodation, rental cars, safari tours etc and I can honestly say we did not experience a single hitch. Ironically the one thing we did arrange ourselves was the NZ /SA visas and opted for single entry which meant we could not enter Swaziland. Stuck at the border and with no accommodation for that night we called the number provided by Native Escapes and were immediately put at ease by their local team who diverted us to excellent alternative accommodation. We could tell from the very first contact through to the end of our amazing experience that Native Escapes is run by a small, caring, and knowledgeable team.
We would not even consider another agency for our next adventure !

Great value, amazing safari
My husband and I did the 3 day 2 night Amboseli trip in the Kibo lodge, starting and from and ending in Nairobi. Our guide was Peter - we loved that he was always early. We had our own safari van with a pop-up roof, which was fine for Amboseli and great for pictures. Naomi answered all of our questions, and met us before the trip to complete our payment. She was very professional -- and I appreciated that when I sent my inquiry, the price never changed (except the credit card surcharge, which is usual). Kibo Lodge was a nice place, and we were also easily able to add on a visit to a Maasai Village that was walking distance from Kibo. For anyone else planning the trip, it took us about 4.5 hours to get to Amboseli on Thursday morning, but over 5 hours to get back to Nairobi due to construction on the highway on Saturday afternoon.

Unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime-vacation
It's difficult to put our boundless enthusiasm into words - however, we'll try to do so. ;-)
The safari tour with PUMPA Tours was absolutely worth every penny! We got to see the Big Five as well as the Mass Migration - both absolutely stunning. It's possible to see the animals from a very close distance which makes it possible to take great photos.
We'd like to emphasize how awesome our guide Edwin was! He is absolutely passionate about his job and Tanzanian wildlife and capable of telling his guests countless interesting facts about the animals and their habits (thanks to his degree from a Wildlife College). He does so without any language difficulties as his English is very good (also regarding all the biological terms). He always wears a smile on his face and won't call it a day before he had made sure that his guests saw as many (rare) animals as possible. Detours and overtime aren't keeping him from doing so. PUMBAs lunch boxes are exceptionally good and stood out in comparison to the ones from the guests of other companies.
Other than that, we don't want to tell you too much - as we don't want to ruin the surprises which Edwin has in store for you. Edwin always knows how to surprise his guests and exhibits a dedicated sense of service. We'll always remember our fantastic honeymoon, so THANKS SO MUCH, Pumba Tours, THANKS Sebastian and Edwin! You rock!
