The tour turned out to be EXACTLY as outlined by Paul Justine. No surprises. Honest.
5/5

The tour was planned several months in advance by us. The money was wired to the agency in 3 tranches. This is a honest Safari outfit. The outline of every day - including meals, hotels, additional costs - is clearly spelled out in advance. The vehicle (Land Cruiser) was comfortable and the driver/guide (in our case, Edwin) was polite/friendly/very knowledgeable. All in all, our Safari was enjoyable, thanks to the detailed organizational skills of Tanzania Roadside Expeditions.

Kilimanjaro (Lemosho Route) + 4 day safari (Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti)
5/5

We fully recommend booking through AAA Express. We chose to combine our trek to Kilimanjaro with a couple days safari, and Jalala provided the exact tour we wished for. The communication prior to our trip was fine and Jalala was quick to reply any questions we had.

Frank and Frank were our guides for the trek and they were both super friendly and very experienced guides. The tents were a bit old and should be replaced soon, but besides that the service(food etc.) was fine throughout the entire trek. The trek itself was fantastic, but much harder than any of us expected (despite that we are all in pretty good shape). Originally our plan was to do it in seven days, however, our guides decided to do it in six days as they thought we were a strong team. Looking back we should have insisted on doing the trek in seven days as it was originally the plan, because we found ourself too tired to enjoy the trek and the view at times. Overall the trek was amazing - and we all reached the top.

During the safari Stephen was our guide, and he also had en impressive knowledge about the animals, the history of the park and the Masai-people. We managed to see all the animals we wished to see, and Stephen was very dedicated in fulfilling our wishes and knew were to look for the various animals. During the safari we stayed in great lodges with excellent food and views. Especially the tent house camp in the middle of Serengeti was amazing. Should we go again, we would probably skip Lake Manyara and do an extra day in Serengeti.
Prior to, between and after our trips we stayed at the Planet Lodge in Arusha and Mc Ellys Hotel in Arusha. We recommend staying at Planet Lodge as they have a pool and garden, but both hotels were nice.
AAA Express is a small local company (situated in Arusha), which was important for us. It was a bit cheaper than some of the other companies we received offers from, but the standard was overall very good and we wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with AAA Express.

A-MAZE-ING - One of the best holidays I have EVER had, thanks to Anya at Pembury Tours
5/5

From the initial email contact to Pembury Tours to just see what they could offer I was incredibly impressed with the efficiency and quality of service I received. Our advisor was Anya... she was 100% fantastic in all that she did. Her advice was spot on, her attention to detail fabulous, her knowledge and ability to match what our hopes were to the programme she prepared for us was just super.

I was so grateful of her patience too as I ummed and ahhhed, and wanted to check various things out and I genuinely got the feeling that she was honestly invested in wanting to make sure our trip was the best it could be.

Our visit to South Africa and our first taste of a safari was incredible. Everything ran like clockwork and Anya had thought of everything... including working out/supporting some unexpected touches to make our trip extra special. We commented a number of times throughout the trip on what a brilliant job she had done; noting that 'yes' this was 'JUST" what we had wanted.

I have been lucky enough to travel all around the world, and experienced all sorts of adventure. I can hand on heart say though that this trip was one of the best I have ever been on, and that is very much down to the truly wonderful support, advice and work of Anya. She made the planning exciting (and easy), the trip itself a dream and I loved her passion and knowledge for her country. Anya advised me on a full holiday from days and trips in Cape Town to visiting two safari lodges all in the time that we were there. I know that there is no way I would have been able to plan such a super holiday even if I had spent hours researching and thinking things through.

My thanks can't go far enough to her, and the Pembury Tours team... you absolutely will be hearing from me again!

I'd urge anyone reading this who might be thinking about going on safari to DO IT! And, then to plan it with Anya... you will not be disappointed.

Friendly, professional, courtesy and customer care...the perfect partner for a tailor made travel!
5/5

We found Cardboard Box a very professional team that helped us to plan a perfect and great travel in Namibia. Chantelle was very friendly, helpful and give us all the informations we needed with extremely courtesy and precision. We planned a tailor made itinerary without any problems. All the lodges and hotels booked were lovely, and exatly as we expected...and sometimes beyond! Also the car rented was perfect for our itinerary. And last but not least we have saved a lot of money compared to italian agencies. So we are very pleased to recommend this agency to all the tourist interested to visit the beautiful Namibia by a self drive with the certainty of having a reliable local point of support.

Bwindi Gorillas is a must do! Absolutely Amazing Experience
5/5

My family had an amazing trip to Uganda thanks to Devine African Safaris. Nicholas the owner went above and beyond to ensure we had fun by organizing an itinerary that was tailored to our needs and wants.
Herbert, our guide, picked up the four of us from Kigali, Rwanda and drove us to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest for gorilla trekking. My teenage boys had a lot of questions that Herbert answered patiently. He was very informative on the culture of his people, We were booked at Mutanda Lake Resort, a beautiful place near Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest. The lodge is gorgeous and has incredible views of the forest, hills and the lake around it.
In the morning, we went gorilla trekking in the forest. It was an amazing experience. We were amazed to see the gorillas up close. We had so much fun that they could not stop talking about the gorillas. Herbert facilitated the trek assisted by the forest rangers and he was an excellent guide. We had magical views that were unforgettable along the trek.
The next day, we visited Queen Elizabeth National Park where we saw lots of animals including a rare sighting of a leopard crossing the road, elephants with their young, buffaloes, lions on trees, giraffes, and many more animals. The boat ride in Kazinga channe was another awesome experience, riding close to hippos and watching abundant wildlife on the banks of the channel. We did not want to leave and our only regret was that we should have booked a longer safari.
Thank you super guide Herbert and Devine African Safaris who gave us an experience we will never forget.

EXCEPTIONALLY BRILLIANT AND FUN GUIDES!
5/5

This was my first time visiting Africa. I was worried about what the transportation, accommodation and food would be like. I am a vegetarian and was especially worried if my dietary restrictions would be met during this trip. I was however, blown away by the quality of arrangements. We had the Company drivers waiting to pick us up from the Airport. All the hotels that we stayed at were VERY clean and WAY more luxurious than what I am used to. And the food was YUMM!!! We had a HUGE buffet spread for dinner everyday. We took packed lunches on Safari so we can get more time in the National Parks. The arrangements overall were very safe and comfortable. Most of the accommodations that were provided to us had a GREAT view. It was breathtaking to wake up to the views of the National Parks every day. We would have Giraffes and Zebras just walking outside our campgrounds at some places within Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Can you believe hearing hyenas laugh and Lians roar in the middle of the night, and yet have the safety of your tent and have a guard for each tent?? It was UHHHMAZING!!

Now coming to the BEST part of working with Face of Africa - the wonderful Guides. They are one of the nicest people I have met in my life! We had enough days in . Africa to form a bond with them, they went out of they way to help us if we needed some meds in the middle of nowhere or when we wanted to take a restroom stop every one hour. They sand and Danced with us and made the trip exceptionally memorable for us. I went with a nature journaling group that heavily focuses on research, so mind it, people knew a LOT about the wildlife and Geology already, but the guides took what we knew to the next level by providing so much more context and information to everything. They were very very very knowledgable and experienced. I enjoyed hearing about the Maasai tribes and animal behaviors from them. I cannot wait to make more trips to Africa and hire these guys for my adventure every single time in the future. They felt like family in a foreign world! Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable, Face of Africa Team!

About: Mazingira
Exciting adventures in the Masai Mara!
5/5

Mazingira Safaris provided us with such a positive experience in Nairobi and the Masai Mara. They are based in Tanzania but went out of their way to provide us services in Kenya. Jacob’s fast email responses made the arrangements easy and Peter was there to meet us at our hotel. He introduced us to our driver and guide, Ken, who treated us wonderfully. Ken went out of his way to make our trip enjoyable. As South Africans we had been on many game drives, Ken consistently check in with what we wanted to see and do. We really enjoyed his company. I would recommend Mizangira Safaris for any East African travels.
