Best Safari ever
We had a lot of fun on a 6 day safari. We saw all big5 animals and witnessed great wildebeest migration which was unforgettable. Interesting part is visiting Maasai village, visit hundzabe tribe which is really interesting and amazing culture.

Trusted and experienced!
We had a wonderful experience of 2 nights fly-in from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park! Honcho DMC made all the arrangements seamlessly, customized the tour and we had peace of mind throughout the travel. Particularly, they were very responsive (we communicated through WhatsApp) and considering this was our first Safari, I feel we made the right choice.
By the way, we made mind to do Safari about two weeks ahead of the travel date, kind of last minutes, but all the flight booking, local arrangements were completed by Honcho DMC, and hassle free on our end.
One note I would add, not necessarily to Honcho DMC, but Maasai cultural visit that we did was a bit disappointing… I think we should have been more cautious and be prepared but this one hour visit felt like pretty much to sell artifacts to us.. To be fair the chief of Masaai who can speak English explained many things, but I felt pressured to make purchase at the site and then end up paying A LOT MORE than it should be… Lesson learned on my end.

Experienced tour operator
We went on safari with the SAWAS team in December 2022 and it was absolutely amazing experience! We visited Tsavo East, Tsavo West national parks and Taita Hills private reserve with our amazing driver Shuma and had close encounter with elephants, lions, cheetahs, water buffalos... you name it! Everything was very well organized.Mr Martin the manager, created maximally personalised tour that included all our requests and it was cheaper than other offers we received. He was very pleasant to deal with and very responsive to all our requests, wether it's to change the itinerary Shuma the driver, was very knowledgeable and professional, besides being just a nice guy to be around . during our ride in the tsavo park we had quite a hair raising experience when two lions simply bored climbed into our van and right up onto the roof of the van where they stayed for a good 30 minutes one of them came so close to as that I could feel its hot breath,Mr Shuma was a reassuring presence as he was so calm,eventuàlly the lions wondered of...we lodged in the tsavo west park resort and wow,I have no bad comment about them,from the food to the services provided I loved all of it,congrats to the SAWAS team for making this a lovely experience

Experienced and wants what is best for you
We had the most amazing experience with Susan who went above and beyond to make sure our first time in South Africa was pleasurable and one to remember. Susan was patient with us while we scrambled with dates and decided to change what we wanted to do half way through our holiday. She also made sure to match us perfectly with a safari tour that would fit our active lifestyles so we were kept busy throughout the days. Our tour was most incredible, the value for money was well beyond what we paid for and we saw all the animals we were wanting to see plus more! Thank you Susan, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and appreciate your expertise and knowledge of South Africa while organising our trip.

unforgettable safari adventure
300% recommendable! Thanks to our Guide Johny we had a wonderful week in 4 different national parks. He took good care of us, spotted lots of different animals and took us to the best spots. He explained and taught us many interesting facts about the animals and answered all our questions. We booked a budget safari and all the acommodations were great - I liked the local experience! Moreover the office replied fast and answered as well all our questions.

cheap and very varied
It was a great trip. The national parks are very varied and thanks to Johny, our guide, we saw all the animals we could imagine up close. The accommodations were basic but close to the locals. We had good conversations with the Maasai and got many insights into their lives. I would definitely do the tour the same way again.

Exactly what you need for a perfect safari!
This was our first experience at a safari after meaning to go for a number of years. There is quite a wide variety of operators and countries to pick from but we decided upon Spirit of Kenya and went to visit both Kenya and Tanzania in one trip. From the moment we got in touch with Spirit of Kenya there was a wealth of information passed on to us via email, a special thanks to Andre for his patience, knowledge and super quick response time!
All transactions were easy and gave us confidence that once we arrived in Kenya we wouldn't have any issues. Needless to say the whole trip was fantastic from start to finish. Both our guides listened to what we had to say and gave us the opportunity to see any animals of our choice. Thank you Micheal & Gabriel for being such amazing guides. In Kenya we managed to see the big 5 so by the time we arrived in Tanzania we could slow down a little and just take it as it came as to what animals we saw. All the accommodations we stayed at were of high quality, there is a great range of styles and budgets which were given as options for us to choose from.
We would recommend travelling from Masai Mara to Serengeti as although the route is long you do get to see all different kinds of villages and towns which add to the experience. All in all, the trip was incredible and has given us memories to last a lifetime, so thank you Spirit of Kenya for the experience. We will be back and wouldn't hesitate to use you again and recommend you to anyone else who would like to go on safari.
