They took excellent care of us and we felt safe the whole time! Planning our trip, I worked with the experience coordinator Tiago. He answered all questions and request immediately! He customized our tour, and made our trip uniquely our own! I loved the tented camps we stayed in! Hearing the animal sounds at night was thrilling!! The price was a great value for what we received! Great safari with Easy Travel!
Looking to organize a safari in Tanzania? We did this experience in the spring of 2022 for a trip in July 2002, and we know how time consuming it is to choose the agency, the route, the type of safari and accommodation. Back from this fantastic trip, we are delighted to have made the excellent choice of Easy Travel, a local agency, with a very long and very professional experience.
THE PARKS: According to the agency's proposal, we visited 4 parks in six days of the program, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire, at the beginning of July. We were 3, two adults and a teenager. It's intense, but it's worth visiting these 4 parks (to be precise: 3 parks and a conservation area, the Ngorongoro), they are very different from each other. We had hesitated to visit only three of them, and to sacrifice Lake Manyara, but it has the advantage of cutting the route before driving to the Serengeti (chaotic roads). We are glad we spent two nights at the Serengeti, it was worth it. And we really liked Tarangire Park, which many visitors mistakenly miss. In short, the program offered by Easy Travel was excellent.
OUR GUIDE: We were accompanied by Gerald, a very cool guide, with 20 years of experience; thanks to him, we have lived magical moments. In terms of wildlife, we saw an extraordinary diversity of animals (lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, hippos, rhinos, monkeys, ostriches, gazelles, impalas, wildebeests, eagles, vultures, toucans and so many others...). Gerald not only has eagle eyes, he also has an in-depth knowledge of the animals' way of life and their behavior. In addition to his immense knowledge as a wildlife guide, Gerald is also an experienced driver, which is reassuring on the rocky tracks where many jeeps suffer.
THE ORGANIZATION: To organize our trip, we were in regular contact at Easy Travel with Lizbeth, who was also very professional. She was always available to answer our questions, and sent us a very useful checklist to prepare for the trip, especially with regard to formalities and health.
ACCOMMODATION: We have chosen a formula offered by Easy Travel, namely a glamping formula, tent accommodation, but all comfort (large beds with thick mattresses, shower, "lounge" area). Advantage: proximity to nature (hear wildlife at night), while having an excellent level of comfort. Three of the camps (Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara) are located inside the park, an important factor in maximizing the chance of seeing animals at the best times. The chain that owns these camps is called Tortilis Camp, and these accommodations are truly amazing. The teams that manage them take great care of their guests, and are super friendly. Security is also top notch. In Ngorongoro, part of the money donated to the camp is used to finance the school in a nearby Masai village.
THE ASSESSMENT: There are a hundred agencies offering safaris in the great parks of Tanzania, with different levels of services. We obviously have no point of comparison, but Easy Travel is really an excellent agency, very reliable, with a clear ethic and the constant concern that its customers are satisfied. Andrew is not even capable of setting up a successful timeline for a trip which makes the name of his company ironic and absurd in his case. He cannot be trusted. Andrew did not include all activities, services, and meals as promised for the itinerary we agreed upon for the set price that was established. There were numerous activities and fees he did not book or pay in advance, causing multiple complications. He tried to cheat us out of several things to keep as much money for himself rather than honoring our agreement. He refused to give us vouchers or contact details for accommodations, drivers, or anything related to our trip after he got our money and we were already in South Africa. He put us in an unsafe and very vulnerable situation on this trip, not to mention caused us immense anxiety. We had to spend our free time trying to troubleshoot the problems he created. We lost hours battling with him trying to pay for things he promised and had to recruit people from our lodges to help us. He scheduled drivers to pick us up at our hotel at the same time we were supposed to be on a boat ride or safari 3 hours away. This caused us to miss multiple activities be they were not scheduled in a realistic way. We were left in the middle of no where without a driver one night and another night we not given the accommodation we were promised and forced to camp in a tiny zip up tent in the middle of wild animals instead of the luxury tented lodge described in the itinerary that Andrew just decided he was not going to book as promised. I could write pages on all the lies and deception this man did regarding our trip. Andrew literally told me that he was going to make my trip painful after he took our money and we were dropped off by ourselves in Kruger NP (when he was supposed to be our guide/driver for 2 more days)and this was the only thing that came out of his mouth that was true. Do not give this company or Andrew any money. Avoid at all costs.
