A perfect safari from the first to the last day
5/5

Our expectations of the trip we had put together ourselves were high.
18 days was our safari over Nairobi, Samburu, Aberdare, Sweetwaters, Meru, Lage Bogoria, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara, Amboseli and Taita Hills.
And it was a wonderful trip with our driver Paul.
The trip was super organized.
The game drives were just perfect for us. It was our third time in Kenya and never before have we seen so many animals.
The lodges were totally up to our expectations with one exception.
The jeep was great. We had it to ourselves. We had booked it that way from the beginning and would definitely do it that way again.
And last but not least: our driver Paul was simply great.

Fast, professional organized; trip of a lifetime !

Best vacation ever…

Grassrootz Adventures Uganda. I highly recommend them for your trip to Africa. We had the best vacation ever!

We’ve taken a lot of wonderful trips but this one is by far our best vacation ever! I must give Sander van Zanten huge credits for that. Sander listened well to our wishes and understood what we wanted and then developed the trip of a lifetime for us! Thank you so much!!!

Before we went we received very professional assistance and advices from Sander of Grassrootz so we were well prepared.

The best thing Sander did for us was to appoint Bob Magezi as our guide. I know, more people write that their guide was great and did the extra mile, not Bob, he did 10 extra.

His knowledge of Uganda, culture, politics, the birds, the plants and of course of all the animals…impressive! His relationship with locals, other guides, rangers and anyone we met, he seems to know them and everyone loves him. Bob always made sure that we saw what we wanted and made us feel like VIP with the best places and best view. I highly recommend Bob Magezi.

Besides his professional knowledge and perfect driving skills, he is great to be with, we had so much fun together and were sorry to say goodbye to a good friend.

In 11 days we visited Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (where we walked between the rhinos!), Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo National Park.

We went on foot safari, did river cruises, slept in the most wonderful accommodations, met the friendliest people, enjoyed local food and drinks, went through a variety of different habitats like mountains, tropical rainforest, woodland, freshwater lakes, swamps and savanna and of course were blown away by all the beautiful and impressive animals we met : lions, leopards, chimps, rhinos, crocs, hippos, impalas, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, kobs, many different kind of monkeys and so many more.

If you ever decide to go to Uganda, choose Grassrootz, Sander will build you the itinerary of your wishes and if you ask for Bob Magezi, you will have the trip of your life!

Amazing people, very professional
5/5

I worked with Mambo Gorilla Safari Uganda to plan gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and they were nothing short of amazing. Communication was fast to answer any questions and the information provided was plentiful. The entire experience at their accommodation at Lake Bunyonyi was great and their entire staff is fantastic and super friendly. I highly recommend working with this company to have an amazing experience while in Uganda.

Hassle-free at every stage
5/5

Kathi Solomon was my contact at African Welcome Safaris. At every stage of planning the trip, her communications were clear and thorough. All paperwork was complete and competently handled. Once there, the drivers she organised for Cape Town and for a day trip to Tshwane were reliable and had good knowledge of the areas we visited. Vehicles were clean and roadworthy. The trip also included a few days at Savanna Lodge at Sabi Sand. The friend I travelled with had been to the safari lodge before on Kathi's recommendation and everything about it was nothing short of fantastic. All up, the trip was memorable for all the right reasons and African Welcome Safaris certainly did their bit to make it so.

Amazing African Safari!! Highly recommended company.
5/5

My husband and I done a 5 day safari with SOT covering Ngorongoro crater , central serengeti and northern serengeti and we were so pleased with our choice.

I was a little apprehensive about sending so much cash via bank transfer but Helena was in constant contact via email , her help throughout the whole booking process was excellent.

We couldn't have been happier with our guide Edward and it was a sad day when we had to part ways. Edward was always professional, extremely knowledgeable and I'd like to think that we became good friends in the time we spent together. It was particularly nice to see him still getting excited about seeing the wildlife despite him being a guide for 12 years I think I remember him saying.

The amount of wildlife we saw exceeded all my expectations and Edward had a knack of always making us feel like we were the only people there , he always managed to escape the other jeeps.

If anyone is considering a safari I would highly recommend it , and the company I would 100% recommend would be Soul of Tanzania. The memories we made will stay with us forever

A real adventure, exciting but safe and relaxing.
5/5

Transfers were excellently organised. Our driver Brian was always punctual and very careful and traveling with him was a real pleasure because of the beautiful music in the car - reggae - which was very relaxing. Our guide during the safari, Evans, was communicative, giving a lot of interesting information with a fine sense of humour in a very good English and we are thankful to him for the pleasant experiences.

Taylor-made private safari. Great choice!
5/5

Great experience totally recommendable.
This has been my first family safari (my teenager daughter, my wife and I) but I’m a kind of safari-addict as it has been in fact my 8th safari in Africa.
We started with a first safari tasting, spending a day in Arusha National Park. We dedicated the next 3 days to climb Mount Meru (what a great experience! - not suitable for everyone - basic sleeping, nice food and incomparable views). After Meru, we spent 5 days looking for nature: Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti x2 and Ngorongoro. I can just say everything was fantastic: unbeatable organization in every step, amazing guide-driver, unforgetable accomodations, great food and really good luck in finding fauna (We saw everything but rhino).
I would strongly recommend NRS. They work for you and with you, to find the combination of routes, places and activities you are looking for. They can organize your trip from a top-end to the most budget options with ensured quality and, overall, you can count in NRS team professionality. I really will recommend them!

Wonderful trip !
5/5

It’s a nice trip. This is my first time to travel in Kenya. I choose big time safari and Martha was always enthusiastic to help me. Including the picking between airport to hotel, seven days national park safari. Our guild, Maxwells, is also a very nice man. He was responsible for our safe, searching for wild animals. Many thanks for this trip.
