A Memorable First Day in Tarangire with an Excellent Guide
Our first safari day with Suricata Safaris was a fantastic introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes. We started with Tarangire National Park, which immediately felt special with its huge baobab trees, open scenery and incredible variety of animals.
A big part of the experience was thanks to our guide, Steve. He was excellent from start to finish: calm, friendly, very professional and clearly passionate about the natural world. He explained many details about the animals, birds, plants and the specific ecosystem of Tarangire, which made the day much more interesting than simply spotting wildlife.
He also has an amazing ability to see animals that we would never have noticed ourselves. Thanks to his sharp eye, we even managed to spot a leopard in the distance, which was a real highlight. During the day, we also saw two lionesses, many elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, beautiful birds and several impressive eagles.
The vehicle was very comfortable, and Steve’s driving was careful and reassuring throughout the day. Everything felt well organised, with plenty of drinking water available and a very good lunch provided during the safari.
At the end of the day, we visited a small Maasai village close to Suricata Boma Lodge. It was a very interesting cultural experience, with traditional dances, family homes and explanations about the local way of life. It added a meaningful human dimension to the day after the wildlife experience.
Suricata Boma Lodge was also a very pleasant surprise. The setting near Lake Manyara is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the dinner was excellent.
Overall, this was a very strong first day: beautiful landscapes, impressive wildlife, a great cultural stop and, above all, an outstanding guide. Steve made the experience both enjoyable and informative, and we are very happy to continue the safari with him.

Perfect Serengeti Safari Experience!
I had an incredible safari experience in Tanzania, and our guide Norton was absolutely professional throughout the whole trip. He is extremely familiar with Serengeti and Tarangire National Park, quickly locating wildlife including the Great Migration, Big Five and Ugly Five for us. He patiently answered all our questions, arranged our itinerary reasonably, and drove safely at all times. The whole service was reliable and worth every penny, I would definitely recommend this tour operator and Norton to other travelers.

Awesome 3-Day Maasai Mara Safari Tour
We had an incredible 3-day safari, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and we were warmly welcomed at every stop.
The absolute highlight was our full-day game drive with our guide, Sir Charles. Thanks to his experience and dedication, we saw everything we had hoped for—and even more. What really sets Charles apart is that he doesn’t just take you to the usual tourist hotspots. He knows the hidden gems and goes the extra mile to find the best wildlife sightings, making the safari feel truly authentic and unforgettable.
If you’re looking for an exceptional safari experience, we highly recommend asking for Sir Charles. He made our trip one we’ll never forget!

Great time!
We chose this provider because of the excellent value for money, and we were not disappointed! Even though our 3-day Masai Mara tour was short, our guide Charles masterfully got the absolute maximum out of the 1.5 days of game viewing. Thanks to him, we were almost always the first ones at the best sightings. His driving is energetic yet very safe, and he has a great sense of humor. Even with some rather challenging fellow travelers in our shared car, he remained extremely professional and made sure the needs of the rest of the group were fully met. A great adventure, thanks Charles!

The tour was an amazing experience, and Our. tour guides, Sadam and Booh, were great. They made the tour much more fun and exciting than it already was, making jokes and laughing.
They also helped us see many animals, and went through the effort to keep us happy and Safe.

Incredible experience from planning to driver to food to accommodations!
We had a fabulous time on our 11-day Kenya and Tanzania adventure. The guides, accommodations, food, and game drives all exceeded our expectations.
Harun and Peter were fantastic guides and drivers. Please see our additional comments regarding both of them. As for the lodges and camps, we were very happy with our accommodations throughout the trip.
Starting at the Crowne Plaza, we felt safe and comfortable after two long international flights.
Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge was the perfect start to our adventure. The grounds and accommodations were beautiful, and seeing so many wild animals roaming the property immediately got us excited for the trip ahead. The boat ride and walking tour provided an intimate and memorable wildlife experience.
Tipilikwani Mara Camp offered a wonderful glamping experience. The chef, waitstaff, and security staff helped create an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. The only drawback was that the camp is located outside the Masai Mara Reserve. We loved our stay, but if we were planning the trip again, we would likely choose a similar camp located inside the reserve to avoid the daily drive and park entrance process.
Serengeti Serena Lodge was an excellent choice. The drive there was long, but Peter turned it into an additional game drive, making the journey much more enjoyable. We debated whether we should have flown instead, but after seeing so much wildlife along the way, we appreciated making the drive. The thatched-roof rooms, buffet, and the opportunity to stay in the heart of the Serengeti made for a wonderful experience.
Acacia Farm Lodge was a beautiful boutique hotel and one of our favorite stays. The staff genuinely seemed to love their jobs and went above and beyond to make every day special. From our housekeeper leaving Swahili messages made from leaves to the spa experience and farm-to-table meals, every detail was thoughtfully executed. While we know some lodges near the Ngorongoro Crater offer spectacular crater views, we do not believe we would have enjoyed our stay more elsewhere.
Tarangire Sopa Lodge was very good. While it was not quite as impressive as Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lunch by the pool was delicious, and the evening entertainment provided a fun and authentic cultural experience.
Our final day was long due to our afternoon and evening flights, but Peter kept us engaged and entertained throughout the day. We initially wondered whether visiting Tarangire National Park was necessary after seeing so much wildlife elsewhere. However, Peter shared extensive knowledge about the birds, vegetation, and ecosystem, which made the visit worthwhile.
If we were to do the trip again, we might consider adding Zanzibar in place of Tarangire National Park. The challenge would be working out the flight and transportation logistics, but it is something we would explore.
Overall, this was truly the trip of a lifetime. We enjoyed every minute and deeply appreciate all of your help planning the journey and answering our many questions along the way. Thank you for helping create such an unforgettable experience.

Good money- quality ratio. Excellent guide.
An amazing experience! Our guide was excellent - very knowledgeable, skilled, and so patient with us. He took his time to find animals and explain everything without rushing.
The hotels/lodges were exactly as described: clean, comfortable. Good money- quality ratio.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the real African safari!
