Great Safari
The communication was good and alle expectations where met. We had a great time with great meals and a punctual and skilled guide (Nick name: Rocky Balboa). We saw a lot of animals and Rocky always did his best to satisfy our desires.
Points of attention to the organisation; be sure the seatbelts are working and sleeping bags and tents close easily. Furthermore: be sure to let tourists know that a certain amount has to be paid in USD (which are hard to get in Tanzania, only one bank provides them) instead of TZS.

Very knowledgeable, helpful and efficient with excellent communication
I think I would speak for all of our group in saying how well the safari was organised. We found the two week duration about right, given that we were on the go constantly and nobody wanted to miss a minute of what was on offer. The variety of four camps in Botswana and Zimbabwe created new settings and experiences, and the friendly and knowledgeable guides gave us some unforgettably exciting close-up wild life encounters. Camp staff were very attentive, and the cuisine was of a high standard throughout.
Our Encompass Africa agent was very helpful in tailoring an experience ideally suited to our aspirations, and her communication and advice was great throughout. If I am lucky enough to get to Africa again, I will definitely arrange it through this company.

The Tanzania part of the trip was a disaster
There was no driver at Tanzania border for us. The group before us also had no driver show up. The company would not tell us what was going on, and eventually would not answer any of our our calls. So the communication was horrible. We had to spend the night at a hotel by the border and pay for it ourselves (they say they will reimburse us). The next morning, they said a driver would be ready by 10am, but we sat around outside the hotel until 4pm with no word from the office. They were ignoring every call. We were finally met by a taxi driver who transferred us to another driver in Arusha and we had to drive at night to reach the hotel at Lake Manyara at 9:30 pm. As I write this, we are sitting at gate to Manyara Park where we have been waiting for nearly 2 hours, because Kenya Walking Survivors has not transferred money to the Tanzania company so our driver cannot get us in the park. We have no idea how much longer we will wait. They seem to have forgotten to make the necessary arrangements and preparations for our time in Tanzania. Park will not take my credit card because we are in a tour van. So we have lost 2+ days and morning light for photos. We are very unhappy now, and feel that we are wasting a lot of time with only a few days left in Africa.
Our Kenyan driver was very nice, and the Kenya part of the trip went smoothly. Oddly to me though, on the first day we were picked up, driven to office to pay last half of cost, then to get gas, and then to pick up water. It would have been nice if they had gotten gas and water before picking us up. They had half of the money up front. Our lodgings were nice and the Kenya part went well. I was not expecting the very long long drives on bad roads between the parks. It usually took all day (6-9 h) to go from one place to the next. The law does not allow driving tourists in the dark, so we used up lots of daytime to get from park to park. However, that is the nature of traveling in this area.
Our main problem has been the horrible experience getting into Tanzania, and getting into the park this morning has been just as bad. Horrible communication, and nothing has been prepared beforehand.

Wonderful safari experience!
It was a big experience. The organisation was very good and our guide, Maxwell, was very attentive and he had a deep knowledge about the roads and the animals.
We did a 6-day safari (Mara, Naivasha, Nakuru and Amboseli) and we can conclude that all the parks worth it since they are different between them.
Finally, we were part of a joining group safari so we could get a much better rate than doing a private one. Hyrax Safaris usually organises joining group trips so you shold ask in advance.

Perfect!
The communication with Sprit of Kenya was more than perfect. I was surprised by the prompt reply from Tiago. He was providing all the necessary information and answering to all the concerns. I must admit that the way things worked with Tiago influenced a lot our decision to go with Sprit of Kenya. He demonstrated a high level of professionalism. The tour was perfect and we had a nice time in Kenya, everything was as planned. Our driver/guide, Gidion was friendly, he knew a lot about animals and he was sharing the information every time he had the occasion. He knew where to go to see the Big 5. We enjoyed a lot our experience. We are planning in returning in Kenya in the next future and definitely we are going to contact again Sprit of Kenya. I recommend this agency.

Everything went better than we ever expected
After trying some local travel agents, we realised that travel in Africa requires specialist expertise. I searched the internet and saw many positive reviews about Ubuntu. As soon as I spoke to Cuan, he filled me with confidence. He knows Africa and he knows about travelling in Africa. From our rough plans, he put together a fantastic itinerary, including all of the main features that we wanted to see. He made it all fit together and flow and everything went exactly as planned. We loved working with Ubuntu. We were kept informed all along the way, the admin side, payments, bookings etc, all went smoothly and the trip was a dream. We even met Cuan in Victoria Falls, which was great! Travel in Africa can be problematic and difficult, especially when you try to squeeze six countries into a month, but it all went without a hitch and we enjoyed every moment. If we return to Africa, and I suspect we will based on our firs experience, we will be using Ubuntu Tours.

Tekko provided great service before and during our Kenya Safari trip.
Carol of Tekko is excellent in responding to our enquiries, accommodating our needs in choosing the best options. Our 10 days Safari in Aberdare, Lake Nakuru & Maasai Mara are amazing. The lodges & hotels we stayed are very comfortable and provided great service and food. Our last 4 days in Diani Beach is very relaxing. Stephen, our guide for the safari is very knowledgeable & experienced. We are able to see all the big fives, the sunrise & sunset and the spectacular wildebeests migration crossing the Mara river. What a memorable lifetime experience in Kenya!
