Review about Hlane Royal National Park by fivetoedtravels
Spectacular! With our knowledgeable guide, we saw giraffes lunching on leaves, a pride of lions snoozing, elephants flapping their huge ears to keep cool, hippos submerged in water pools, and most special of all, walked close to about 20 white rhinos, and watched them eat, nap, scratch themselves on tree branches and roll about in a mudbath. Brilliant!

A highlight of our month-long travels in Southern Africa was walking with the wildlife in Mlilwane.
One of our first stops on our tour of 6 countries in Southern Africa was Mlilwane Sanctuary in Swaziland. We stayed in a delightful thatched-roof rondavel at Sondza Backpackers, and had great dinners and breakfasts cooked up by the local ladies. In the morning, we walked from Sondza to the sanctuary centre and then along the Hippo Trail. Altogether about a 3-hour hike along well-kept paths through spectacular scenery, with some very special close-up moments with wildlife. Nothing dangerous... no hippos or "big 5", though a few crocodiles in the distance. But lots of impala, warthogs, nyala, hartebeest, wildebeest, waterbucks, and my favourite, zebras. Who knew that zebras would make squeaky sounds to each other while patiently waiting for us to go by so that they could cross the path? Each one with its unique dramatic stripes and beautiful black-lashed eyes. Also much enjoyed were the birds such as hamerkops, blue cranes and lapwings. And the little stuff, like dung beetles and locusts. And the huge termite hills. This was one of the few times we could actually walk with wildlife, and not be driven in a vehicle. With misty mountains and green forests in the distance, it was quite a magical day.

beautiful safari with grassroots safari and fikirini S Fikirini guide
The safari was easily customised, very well organised & the guide made it flow so smoothly.
Wildlife was excellent - the guide knew the best locations to be. Scenery - spectacular. Weather - perfect- cool in the mornings & evenings, pleasant during the day. Accomodation first rate without the cost - well chosen & central to our touring. Food very good, transport excellent. Our guide was outstanding, informative, very knowledgeable about Namibia. Outstanding safari. Go soon before it gets overrun with tourists.

wonderful
The safari was great.
We went 5 days (4 nights), 2 massai mara, 1 night lake nakuru, 1 night lagop naivasha. they respected the accommodations, less in massai mara, which was not the one hired, it was fine, but it did not have the views that the other camp had in description.
They changed the order of visit to the lakes, and we ended up doing more kilometers and time in the van. the visits to the lakes were in a hurry and very fast, but they were very nice places. Massai Mara is the king of the parks, but he deserves to see these two as well, or the Amboseli who spoke well of him.
be careful with the entrances to the park, we are supposed to pay 2 days of park, but we only use 24h, and better to talk about it with the driver. Beware, they are 70-80 dollars apart.
the time to make the safari great. We saw the big five, few elephants, only 2 male lions, but very well and up close, a show, the rhinoceros great but not too close. The driver wanted to show us the animals. It was a shame not to see the migration, the animals were ready to cross but we did not see them, we were looking but nothing, although the same day others saw it, our driver did not come back in the afternoon to see it (he was in a hurry to leave the park and pay only 24 hours) ...
otherwise everything is great, food is good, accommodation is good, price is great. 90 -100 dollars a day.
we would hire again

Excellent Experience
Mr. Masinde organized the whole trip and answered all the questions we had before we embarked on the safari. Our driver/ tour guide, Mwanzia, was very knowledgeable about the animals we were to see and was punctual for all activities. He went out of his way to make sure we saw all the animals that were there and made sure that our safari was a delight. Our safari included some respite time in Mombasa to an awesome resort on the ocean. I would use this company again for a trip to Africa. Thank you Mr, Masinde and Mwanzia!

Savannah organisation was perfect, the safari itself an amazing experience.
I went for a 6 days safari with my boyfriend at the end of august visiting the Tarangire, Serengeti (including the north for the great migration) and Ngorongoro National Parks. Everything went out perfectly. The communication with Roberto and Floriana from Savannah Explorers was smooth since the very beginning. Roberto answered all my questions (and I can tell you, they were a lot!) always fast and in detail, and made all changes I have required to the program. I have felt in good hands and this is why I have decided to book the safari with Savannah.
We required an English speaking guide and we got a very good one: Modi. It was a pleasure spending 6 days with him. He his a very nice person and a very good guide, and made everything to let us fully enjoy the experience, trying to go to the best spots to see the animals and staying out until dark in order to see as much as possible. and we saw a lot indeed! It was an amazing experience, and I would recommend everybody to book a safari with Savannah Explorers.

Awsome trip with the best compagny !!!
We were a group of four people, we had opted for the formula 3 days 2 nights in camp which is enough to fully enjoy the experience.
The camp was comfortable : tween size bed, shower and hot water ...
The experience was unforgettable, the first day we went on a boat safari to see hypopotamuses, crocodiles and different types of birds.
We spent the second day at the Selous game reserve where we had the opportunity to see several animals giraffes, zebras, lions, elephants and so on, with a very friendly, motivated driver who made us discover the reserve. The experience ended with a very informative walking safari.
The staff was extremely friendly, always attentive, the cook concocted us succulent dishes !
Thank u Selous Explorer (Asna, Nestor & Rashidi) !!
