Compass Odyssey exceeded all my expectations.
I can not say enough good things about Compass Odyssey. I had always wanted to go on a safari but had no clue on how to go about it. After deciding it would be best to use a travel company rather than trying to organize everything myself; I found Compass Odyssey on SafariBookings. All the reviews I read were very positive so I felt comfortable reaching out to them. Darren got back to me immediately and proposed an excellent itinerary based on my budget and interests. He was always quick to reply to my emails and answer any questions I had (there were a lot) with total patience and professionalism. I have never worked with a travel company that was so attentive to my needs and detailed in every regard (info, activity planning, flight arrangements, etc.). They took care of everything and relieved any anxiety I had in advance of the trip. From beginning to end, they made me feel as if I was their only client and that my satisfaction and enjoyment was their only priority and concern. I couldn’t have been happier with my accommodations, activities, and wildlife experiences. The good times I had will last a lifetime. Darren is a class act and raised the bar for what one should expect when working with a tour company. I highly recommend Compass Odyssey to anyone interested in a top-notch, stress-free, experience in Africa. Safari in the Ngorongoro, Tarangeri and Serengeti
The trip started at the Kilimanjaro airport, we were taken to the hotel, on the way you could see the sunset with Kilimanjaro in the background, amazing. The hotel was very good, clean and an amazing breakfast. The next day we went to the Serengeti, there are many hours of travel, in the afternoon you arrive and it is beautiful. We slept in a campsite, at night you could hear the hyenas and the food of the great cooks. The next day we started the safari, in the Serengeti we saw a lot of animals of all types, we were even lucky and we saw a leopard that are very rare to see. In the afternoon we were taken to the Ngorongoro campsite, it was cold there but seeing an elephant drinking water in front of you is worth much more than that. The next morning we went to the Ngorongoro crater, there you can see thousands of buffaloes and zebras, it is plagued.
Then we were taken to the Tarangeri, that night we slept in a lodge, a very nice wooden cabin, in the evening there were traditional dances and we lit a bonfire and we spent the night talking. In the Tarangeri we saw many giraffes and elephants, we could see the elephant at two meters, incredible, that afternoon we were taken to the hotel again for the next day to go. The drivers very nice, if you had any questions with the animals I explained it and the cooks a great meal. A unique adventure, I recommend it to all the people who come to Tanzania.

Family holiday of a lifetime successfully delivered and we had a final day check in with owner Mr. Humphries made us feel that the whole service from beginning to end was professionally run with pride taken in all aspects. I heard about African Tours via Internet. So I decided to start a request. After 24 hours I had the first offer. The communication with Joseph was very good. At the first day Oscar picked us up from our hotel and spend time with us for the next 4 days. At everytime Oscar was available for us. He organised the trips and always answered our questions. Smooth seamless transaction with knowledgeable advice
The communication with K&D was informative and accurate. We stayed at the Kampala River Lodge and the travel to and from Hoedspruit (organized by K&D flying from Cape Town and then back to Joburg) was very easy. Kampala was fantastic - I highly recommend it.

Trip of a Lifetime
As a graduation gift for my daugher, and a number one bucket list for me, we took a safari to Zambia. Being a novice about going into the bush and where to go, it was imperative that we have the right tour guide to facilitate a flawless yet thrilling trip. The Luxury Safari Company, and the trip that Rose organized for us, exceeded all our expectations. Rose provided the expert knowlege about where we should go and the recommended camps we should stay at - she put the whole tirp together for us including all the local connecting flights to the remote parks we were visiting and at every step the execution was flawless. As two women traveling alone, we felt safe and comfortable throughout our entire stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mchenja camp in South Luangwa National Park and could not say enough good things about our amazing guide, Innocent, while we were there. The staff and the food could not have been better and we are very appreciattive of their hospitatiliby and making us feel comfortable after a very long jouney to get there. The park was spectatuclar - on our drive into the camp the evening we arrived, we saw leopards, lions and giraffees. It was awe inspiring. Following a wonderful dinner we had beautiful rooms and awoke to the surinse overlooking the Zambezi River and hearing the hippopotums 'talking' in the early morning. Our days in the bush, both in the jeep and doing a walking safari, were breathtaking - the elephants came out to greet us as did the zebras, bamboons and so many others. The highlight was seeinng the mating of the lions at a fairly close distance and watching their interaction. We then travled down to the Lower Zambezi and stayed at the beautiful Sausage Tree Camp where Benson our butler took impecable care of us and our guide, Collins, shared his extensive knowledge about the animals and ecosystme of the Lower Zambezi with us. The food and the service at Sausage Tree Camp were top notch. We had a wonderful dinner in the bush as well as lunch in the River - very special experiences. The bush here was also spectatcular and our game rides were filled with exciting views of the wildlife. Our stay Togenbezi in Livingston was similarily a culinary delight and a wonderful trip to see the splendor of Victoria Falls, the white rhinos and a family of giraffees.
Rose put together the ideal iternary for us throughout our stay in Zambia and later in South Africa. When we go back, and we will certainly be going back , Rose and her team will be my first call to organize our next trip.

The comunications are aceptable for a Safari and the service was great. The safari overmatch my expectations of the whole trip- The Safari was for four days a bit short but we could see the big fives. The driver as well as the cooker did a amazing job. We were during the Safari very lucky with their care and work. The driver always gave the best to try to find oout the best place to look at the animals. We relly recomend this Safari - For us was it a unforgetable experience with such a jung a motivated operator.
