Fantastic self drive family safari in Namibia - breathtaking - one of a a kind road trip!
Communication with Allison, our travel agent, has always been through emails - very pro and friendly behind her keyboard! She has always been kind to answer my numerous and diverse questions from safety, to places to explore, campsites or lodges to stay at, where to fill up the gas tank of our land cruiser truck, what to pack etc...
Allison has been incredibly attentive to my requests as building, kind of last minute (end of May), our family trip to Namibia which was taking place in August.
I have been lucky to be recommended to Allison by a very good friend who was also travelling with her family to Namibia - Allison even managed to have our families cross paths and spend one night at the same lodge!!!
She has been very helpfull and even on vacation herself during our trip, managed to check her inbox and answered my email.
IN her summer leave, a colleague of hers has been able to assist us with professionalism as we got stuck in a sand storm at Sessriem and we could not image camping out a second night - Christee found a lodge where the five of us could be accommodated - that made quite a difference to have a last minute service :)
To experiment the Namibian spirit, camping in a tented roof is a must and absolutely valued as one of a kind experience amongst our family.
Best is to have the privilege, as we did, to rest in the beautiful lodges once in a while to enjoy the Namibian hospitality.
I recommend 100% Cardboard Box travel to anyone who wish to book a one of a kind self drive safari in Namibia!

Great driver and great guide in one person Bosco
I was preparing my safari with Aron Mugisha and I must say that communication and suggestions, everything was very good. Based on places I wanted to visit he gave me Bosco who knows those places and also all the animals very well. He was very friendly and nothing I wanted was problem for him. I enjoyed very much and can recommend both guys.

They made our dream come true with politeness and kindness, and has good knowledge about all places
We did fully ordered tour to Amboseri, Naivasha and Masai Mara. Company arranged very quickly, and all our dreams come true with nature world. Driver is well trained, have excellent knowledge with animals and nature, and recommended as we want to. By last minutes, they tried us to enjoy, and take care of our family with polite and friendly.
We had very excellent experience in nature world with them.
I will recommend, and come back here in the future, and ask them to arrange the tour again!

Dishonest.
I emailed the company prior to arriving at nakuru to get a price for 2 people to hire a safari van and driver to visit nakuru national park. I was told 10,000KES as per the website was correct plus 2000kesfor the driver. When booking we were told the van would be for just the 2 of us and would be a 6:30am-6:30pm full day game drive. The driver collected us at 7:30 an hour later than agreed and there was already 2 other passengers in the van. We were told we could have 1000kes discount on our price per person but then this was retracted. The game driver was finished by lunch time and we were back at out villa for 2:30pm. Huge disappointment as we didnt get to see all the animals and how they behave during different times of the day. Avoid this company at all costs. Dishonest, unreliable, overpriced, under delivered! Poor customer service only interested in your money!!!!

Fantastic experience with this company, well looked after and great knowledge
What a great tour!! Travelling in a group of 9, the 2 safari drivers that we had were excellent! Boss man Tommy and Ken were extremely accommodating to specific needs and both had fantastic local knowledge of the roads and consistently got us to the required location in good time!! Amazing communication with other safari drivers to ensure we saw the best animals when they were out. Also, they were conscious of all tourists ensuring that everyone had the chance to view at the best position. Service stops for food/breaks were planned well. Overall, a fantastic, out of this world experience, feeling safe and catered for throughout.. I would highly recommend this tour!! Finally, a massive thanks to Trip Advisor Africa Safari!!!

we had a great unforgettable experience thanks to Tomodachi Tours & Safaris
Joseph the owner of Tomodachi Tours & Safaris sells you the SERVICE before the Product (the Safari package). There are many Safari companies in Tanzania but Tomodachi’s philosophy is Service first and it is paying back big time. We ordered 7 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari but received much much more than the “Product”. The personal attention we got from Joseph really made the day for us. We (David Hornstein) and my daughter (Danielle) decided on the Safari very very (!!) late. We challenged Joseph and he managed to close all the bookings in 3 hours. His selection of hotels (not lodges) out of the Bush was outstanding and his choice for a tented camp in Serengeti was even better. This is not all. The Guide/Driver he assigned to us Mark Mbise turn out to be a special person and we became friends with him and his family. He was special in many ways: Number one- a kind and patient person – a characteristic not easily found among the Safari Guides, Number two- a very knowledgeable guide who knows the National Parks like the back of his hand and all the animal species in there. He has the senses of a hunter and was able to spot the lions and the cheetahs (my Dad’s favorite predator) from the distance in far and remote areas of the Serengeti not commonly visited by other Safari companies. Number three- an excellent driver and Number four- an excellent mechanic highly needed capability when you are in the Bush (he stopped to offer help to many other drivers who got stock on the way).
In summary – we had a great unforgettable experience thanks to Joseph and Mark.

Super!!!
First time I did a safari, and I will always remember it as one of the best experiences. Tanzania is an amazing country, with places of great beauty and lovely people. And much of the wonderful experience that I take from the trip is due to Emanuel, the best guide we could have. Not only because of the language, he speaks perfectly Spanish, but because has the ability to convey the love for his country. He has made everything very easy, fun and you can enjoy it. He has a great knowledge of animals and flora, ability to take you to the best places and explain all the doubts you have, and even more... Thank you very much for everything Emanuel, it has certainly been a great discovery, and I hope to see you in Kilimanjaro...

Excellent tour company (in particular Allison) for those who want a hands on, professional agent who will listen to what you are wanting in terms of sites, accomodation, travel times, activities, history and all the other myriad of questions that will arise when organising a visit to this spectacular country.
Our only problem was that we did not have enough time to do ALL of the things we would have liked to - although Allison packed our days with as much as she could. This was all done with excellent prompt service.
Greeted at the airport, driven into town, clear explanation of what was to come, keys handed over and on the road with all the extras needed was a simple operation.
A well oiled company that comes with my highest recommendation.

Absolutely brilliant, for both tailoring the itinerary and then organising the entire trip.
Our trip to Namibia was a once in a lifetime visit, and the Cardboard Box Travel Shop made it a once in a lifetime experience. From understanding our requirements/must see attractions, to pulling together a bespoke itinerary, to recommending accommodation to suit our budget, to organising restaurants/excursions at each stop, to ensuring our 4WD had a second spare tyre delivered en route when the hire company did not provide a second spare at the start of the trip, and to providing full instructions with a map of our route, the Cardboard Box Travel Shop ensured everything we wanted from our holiday was in place.
We came to Namibia to experience conservation (visited the Cheetah Conservation Fund, Na'ankuse lodge) and see wildlife (Etosha), as well as experience some of the variety of landscapes and scenery (Skeleton Coast, Damaraland and the Namib Desert). We saw everything and more that we wanted to see within a two week trip, and have many photographs and wonderful memories of our time exploring the country.
Overall, I would recommend the Cardboard Box Travel Company, without hesitation, to organise your trip around Namibia.
