Everything I had hoped for and much more
5/5

Encompass Africa listened to me, had patience with me, understood me and then came up with a safari trip that more than exceeded my expectations. They were the only company I contacted that was happy to deal with me via email (which is my preferred way of organising holidays) - customer is king there!

I asked for a variety of scenery, activities, safari experiences and camps. The safari they came up with took us to Botswana and Zimbabwe. We slept under a million stars on the salt pan, we kayaked with crocodiles and hippos, we saw wildlife during the day, at night, from a vehicle, on foot and from the water (mokoro and motorboat). We stayed at San Camp, Splash Camp, Zambezi Sands Camp, Hwange Bush Camp and Ilala Lodge at Victoria Falls. All had their own character and all were excellent (location, accommodation, food and guides).

The wildlife we saw includes lion, cheetah, leopard, painted dog, hyena, jackal, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, baboon, monkey, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, mongoose, meerkat, warthog, wildebeast, impala, roam, kudu, ostrich, honey badger, crocodile, hippo and many birds.

The organisation of the trip was impeccable. I thoroughly recommend Encompass Africa - go to their website and check it out!

About: Botswana
The experience was exceptional!

The highlight was our guide Phillimon Kamogelo of Walking Stick Tours. He was knowledgeable, professional, and respectful. His eye for wildlife was magnificent, and the camping accommodations he provided us were quite comfortable. We travelled during the dry season, so the animals were plentiful at waterways, and the temperature was moderate. Our experience at the Nxai Salt Pan was unique! We enjoyed traditional African cuisine at our safari campsite and other accommodations. We especially liked the Old Bridge Backpackers and the Gweta Lodge.

Great Experience
5/5

Myself and a friend have just returned from a fantastic trip to South Africa arranged by Pembury. Our consultant Gail made sure everything was in order and our air and ground transfers between Johannesburg and the three different camps (Rhino Post, Nottens & Simbavati River Camp) were seamless. We were thrilled with the lodges Gail recommended- they were exactly what we were looking for. Gail was very responsive throughout the whole process and I felt no trepidation booking with her from across the world. This was my third safari holiday and my last experience with a different tour provider had left something to be desired. With Gail and Pembury, all went according to plan - and the plan they put together happened to be spectacular. I recommend Gail and Pembury wholeheartedly and look forward to the possibility of booking with them again in the future.

A sensational two weeks in Botswana and Zambia
5/5

We had been planning a trip to southern Africa for some time and came across the Luxury Safari Company in one of our internet searches. Unlike other companies we contacted seeking guidance and advice, the LSC were more inquisitive and helpful rather than pushing a product or a specific package
Their direction and advice proved to be accurate and their recommendations were even better than what we had hoped for.
On every level from our individual communications with the amazing Sophie Milligan to the fine detail of the trip itself, the LSC excelled.
The camps we visited in Boswana were superb and their recommendation to stay at CHUNDUKWA on the Zambia side of the Zambesi river was simply stellar.

Great experience! Great guides!
5/5

Sunny Safaris exceeded my expectations! They were affordable, great quality, and Jessica was very responsive to any questions/concerns we had prior to the trip. They were even able to accommodate my friends' gluten and dairy free dietary restriction. We were a group of 12 friends and we had Puis and BJ as our guides/drivers. They were so knowledgeable and a lot of fun! I was always in BJ's truck and we had a lot of great conversation, he answered all of our questions, and gave us a lot of good information. He also was able to spot an animal in hiding very quickly and without binoculars. We loved every accommodation we stayed in that Sunny Safari organized, we loved the packed lunches they provided (and all meals were great), and overall we had the best time. I highly recommend them to anyone! We passed a lot of other safari tour operators and I could tell that the quality we were getting with Sunny Safari was the best.

BEST SERVICE, BEST TOUR GUIDE I EVER GET FROM JOSHUA AND ATKEN, SO MUCH LOVE,CARE FROM THESE PEOPLE
5/5

I got the contact from my friend, who did safari from this company and explain to me how he was treated and I was so much interested because my last safari from another company in Kenya wasn't good and little bit disappointed , so he tried to convince me to come to Tanzania, so I took the contacts, my emails was replied on time, my questions was replied on time, and they even went extra to advice me about the whether and what clothes I should take, inshort they became my friend even before we met, Joshua did pick me up on time from Kilimanjaro Airport, and show me around Moshi which wasn't even comprised in my safari (was for free), and taught me some Swahili words, he took me to the nice Hotel in Arusha and came to pick me up in the morning for Safari, we started at Serengeti, he show me around before getting in to Serengeti, he explained to me sooooo much about animals we saw, he taught me a lot that I never even thought one leg of lion can be 50kgs plus, I was real in class, this man knows a lot, I couldn't get enough to listen at him (he was my teacher), then after we went for lunch then camp, the lunch and dinner was real perfect, I enjoyed the beauty of Africa for the first time, and he brought Makande and so much food of Africa which wasn't included in my meal, he spoiled me so much, and actually, this wasn't Safari was a FAMILY TRIP, he was a brother and not a tour guide, I wish the world could know about this Safari argent, inshort I will make sure each year am coming for safari in Tanzania for the love I got from Tulivu., I am looking forward to climb the Mountain Kilimanjaro next year. TULIVU YOU ROCK

Armadillo Overland delivered a once in a lifetime experience!
5/5

Richard and Al delivered an incredible safari experience, I can't imagine how it could have been better. From the start, they got to know me and what I was interested in and catered the trip to me. Al is incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, birds, vegetation, and geology and how it all fits together. As a former park ranger, he KNOWS where to find the animals. He knows that park and other parks in the area. I learned SO much from him in six days. Whatever (few) questions I asked that he couldn't answer, we googled it when we got to camp. He's SO good at spotting wildlife, it became a challenge for me to spot something before he did. I rarely succeeded. There were so many times I missed an animal on my side of the vehicle but he spotted it from the other side of the vehicle! He's excellent at spotting wildlife and he knows where to take you to see the animals. And he knows animal behavior. He won a standoff with a huge bull elephant in musth. 'Normal' people would not have won, that bull wanted to trample right over us. Al knows everything he needs to in order to get people great sightings. And Richard's hospitality was awesome. He's an incredible chef that can whip up great meals on the braai. I was constantly amazed at what he cooked all throughout each day. One dessert we had was baked camembert covered in chili chocolate sauce that had been mixed with marula liquor. We ate it with biscuits and cheese sticks. This was prepared on a braai. It was incredible! This is only one example of the incredible food I had all week. If you want an experience you will never forget, do your safari with these guys, they are awesome, hands down.
