As is the case probably for many booking their first safari trip - the amount of companies and safari options is overwhelming. We have ultimately decided to do it with Zohar, mainly because how quickly Lilian understood what we wanted and how engaging and responsive she was from the very beginning. Her suggestions as to how can we modify / improve our trip were spot on and exactly how we wanted it to be. The price/value ratio was also among the best ones we received from other companies. Lilian is super super nice and we were very relaxed before coming to Tanzania because we knew our honeymoon trip was in good hands.
Upon arriving to Tanzania, we were met by Lilian and some of her colleagues. And oh my are they all lovely. We also met our guide - Solomon. Once we entered our first national park I immediatelly realized how experienced, knowledgebale and interesting Solomon is. He would tell you many facts and stories about the animals, the national park, the villagies, cities, Tanzania cultures etc. And most importantly - he always thinking of keeping you safe. Solomon knew about things we wanted to see the most and did everything he could to have it accomplished - and he succeeded. We also liked that Solomon shown his flexibility and didn't hesitate to make his own suggestions (e.g. waking up early in the morning and doing a full day game drive - we are not morning persons but morning game drives were by far the best!!!). I really couldn't think of a better guide for this safari than Solomon and at the end wished that trip never ended.
If you reading this review while being unsure which company to book with - I have now doubts you will not be disappointed with Zohar. They are truly an exceptional team all working very hard to ensure you have perfect vacation. For us, it was one of the best trips of our lives. And if we were ever to go back to Tanzania, I would definititely do it again with Zohar.

Highly recommended, no regrets!
So we were about to give up on our safari tour because it was to expansive to book a tour via the tour companies in our homeland. Finally got to know about African Big Cats Safaris company through thorough research on the internet and applied online to get an offer. Justice from the office reached us out very quickly with a detailed offer and made adjustments to our satisfaction right away, no need to.mention the price was very fair. Moreover, justice was very listening and answered to any question we had between our booking to our actual tour date. On arrival, Arira the driver were waiting for us and took us to any arrangement we needed before arriving to the lodge and was very nice to us. At the lodge Emmanuel the boss met us and explained detailed information about the practice of our tour and answered any questions we had. The next morning we met our guide Ernest which deserves every flatter you can think about. He was very experienced with around 20 years of guiding and also teaching students for guiding safaris for long time. He was the nicest and very kind, very listening and determined to answer our needs. Couldn't ask for a better guide. Finally, we met Emmanuel again at the arusha airport before leaving to zanzibar for a very nice departure chat.
To sum it all, we highly recommend African Big Cats Safaris , you won't regret it!

Jocky Safaris made the experience smooth and easy, quick response times and very fair price.
Our 4-day safari was more then we could have asked for. It exceeded our expectations and was worth every dollar. Our tour guide, Yasin, was knowledgeable about all things Africa, he showed us all the animals, over 100+ species of mammals and birds, we came to see. His driving was remarkable and we felt safe the whole trip. Our agenda was very clear and we were always on time. The lodging was good and very fair for the budget we had. This trip was our honeymoon and we made life lasting memories. Our only regret was not spending more time.

Amazing!
Everything exceeded expectations! We were picked up as planned and everything went well right from the beginning. We experienced more than we thought we were going to. Yasin was our wonderful guide and we could not asked for anything better. He was so resilient went looking for wildlife, yet so respectful to nature.

Best private safari for best value
Highly recommend picking your safari with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. We did an 11 day tour, starting in Kenya before heading to Tanzania and ending with two days in Zanzibar. From all my research, Roadside was by far the cheapest for what we were looking for, but that didn't detract at all from the luxury private safari experience. Bonus!
From the first communication, Paul and team were always helpful and quick to respond to any questions - and we had a lot. They were also supportive of the numerous changes we made to the tour as we decided what to add/drop multiple times over.
During the tour, both guides were very professional and knowledgeable (as well as the city guide in Stone Town). We got to see the Big 5, not an aspiration we had before going, but Idris really pulled through our last day on safari and got us to the rhino a minute before it disappeared back into the forest.
All the hotels we stayed at were great. We were uncertain about the Rhino Lodge when we first showed up as it didn't look to be the same level as the other hotels, but the Cape Buffalo, Elephants and other animals that wandered right through the property as you sit out on your porch are worth the rustic vibe. As a vegetarian, I also had plenty of food options at all the hotels and the brown box lunches we had on safari days were also full, so I never felt hungry.
If I'm ever fortunate enough to do another safari in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to book with Roadside again.

Simon is THE BEST- Do not hesitate to reserve a safari with him. This review is from our family’s trip to Botswana in August.
Simon answered emails promptly (unlike some other operators who never even responded) and answered all the questions (about the Day safari/game drive and afternoon boat safari combo). We felt confident wiring him the funds in advance. On arrival, our hotel in Kasane, Botswana confirmed that he was a great guide.
He picked us up promptly at the agreed upon time and we were one of the first vehicles entering Chobe in the morning. His ability to track animals is exceptional! Simon is a very knowledgeable guide and gave us detailed explanations about the wildlife. We saw 100+ elephants, 20+ giraffe, a lion, 10+hippos, jackals, crocodiles, many different birds, and much more. About midway through our safari we were served tea, coffee, sandwiches, fruit etc.
Simon takes pride in Botswana and is a great ambassador for his country. He took time to explain everything and answered our questions patiently. Unfailingly pleasant. Very accommodating with what we wanted to see. He insisted on coming back in the afternoon to bring us to the boat safari though it was virtually next door to our hotel. We could not have had a better guide! Highly recommended.
