Made our safari experience memorable
5/5

We had one of the most memorable experiences of our life. Thanks to James who is an excellent guide and driver. He provided us with valuable information on the different animals and birds in Maasai Mara. He went over and beyond to ensure we saw the big 4 and was patient with all our queries and asks.Thank you James for being so fun and spreading so much energy.

First class company that will create a worry-free, trip of a life time!
5/5

We used Kusini Safaris for our Tanzanian safari last year. While it’s been 9 months now, we still have a strong “HIGHLY RECOMMEND” opinion of this company. This was our second trip to Africa and it was just outstanding! Paul was very easy to work with in designing the exact trip we were looking for. He was open to our opinions and freely offered suggestions to improve the experience and/or save costs. Paul did a super job communicating with us and making sure we knew what to expect. This was a 4-part safari trip (Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire Nat’l Park, and Zanzibar) that required detailed logistical planning. And everything went off without a hitch! There was always someone to greet us at every location and never once did we feel unsafe or unsure what to do. The in-country companies that Kusini works with in Tanzania/Zanzibar were first rate and made for an unforgettable trip. The lodgings that he selected were fantastic! This includes both the facilities and the people running them. And as far as the wildlife viewing, far beyond anything we could have ever imagined. I can’t think of one thing we would recommend to improve the trip. It was just perfect.

Good
5/5

Our trip to Masai Mara was booked through Lenchanda Safari . we planned a three nights stay and well executed by ever smiling Alex, the Head of Lenchada..
We choose Jumbo Mara ,amongst the three camps that was suggested by him,
Wherever you stay ,if they r not inside the park won't have impact on your overall experience. depending on cost ,it will give u more comfort when u r back from safari..
May be rooms will be bigger, views from the room will be better..
However since u r at park for 9-12 hours, it won't have much of an impact . Like Jumbo Mara has a swimming pool ,which we didn't HV time to access, it has a T T board ,and other amenities which are plus i f u r ready to spend around 100-150 dollars per day per head..

However this trip will remain in memories not because of the superb animal sighting we had and the beauty of Masai Mara ,Also for the super energy of "KHALIFA" who was our driver cum guide for thie trip..

The first time when we entered the park the way he said..
"Welcome to Masai Mara ,this a land" .... And goes on..
That two minutes Monolog set the mood of the trip.

His passion and love for animals and efforts for a great sight was evident and remained the same for the entire 12 hours, which is really something.
I know and was told that every guide in Masai Mara is very good but I will opine a trip with Khalifa and without him will have difference..

If I come back someday I would like to have him as my propelor again..

Lastly all the best Lenchada, Alex and team ..
Keep doing what u r doing with dedication and I super satisfied..

And Khalifa.. U r rockstar man.. much love..

Exceptional experience!
5/5

What an incredible experience! Thanks to Marurumi, my friends and I enjoyed a trip we will never forget.

We booked a trip for 4 days in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru, and those place really gathered all animals that we expected spot in a safari.

The driver was stupendous and an incredible tracker with insights and intuition that clearly comes from years of experience. It was truly adventure even in April, we spotted lions, giraffe, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, ostriches, zebras, elephants, hyenas, antelopes, hippos' and a lot of birds.

We could not have asked for a friendlier, more knowledgeable team

Unforgettable experience
5/5

I booked a 6-day trip that included Maasai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli. Our guide Martin knew all the parks very well and is like a human safari encyclopedia. We were lucky enough to see the Big 5 up close, even the leopard! I would definitely do this trip again.

Better than I could have imagined
5/5

As a person who reads a million reviews before book anything, I can promise you this company is a great choice. My wife and I went Tanzania a few weeks ago (March 2023) and Lion King Adventures gave us an amazing tour and safari! We did a 7 Day Mid-Range safari which took us to Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Central Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Throughout these parks and the crater we got to see hundreds of elephants, baboons and hippos. Literally thousands of Zebras, Buffalo, Impalas and wildebeests. Several dozen lions, giraffe and hyenas which we got very close to. Two leopards runnings and at least four in trees. Two cheetah eating a zeebra. We also saw three rhinos in the Ngorongoro crater from about 40 meteres away. There are probably more animals that I am forgetting at the moment.

Our guide Macha was great. He was extremely knowledgable about so much regarding animals, vegetation, biodiversity, geographical history and all aspects of Tanzania and East Africa. He was a skillful game guide and never gave up on our search to spot animals.

All of our accommodations were amazing. I would speak on each camp we stayed at but I would just have to repeat myself because all of them had an amazing staff that were extremely friendly and helpful with anything needed. Each place had great food. I am a vegetarian and I had more than enough options to each everywhere. When we were out on the game tours most other companies would provide lunch boxes with a sandwich and snack for the guests, but Lion King provided us with a picnic style lunch with hot food and plates with plenty to eat.

I am really happy I picked Lion King over the other companies I looked into when planning this trip.

Efficient service, courteous and considerate Operator.
5/5

My friend and I went on a tour with Felins de la Plaine owned by this gentleman called Hamisi. We travelled from Dar es salaam to Arusha where we were to meet up with the Tour Operator, Hamisi. We we were a bit apprehensive as we did not know what to expect in Arusha. We were pleasantly surprised by Hamisi's efficiency. He was punctual at the airport to pick us up and took us to lunch. Then together we planned the details of our tour of which he already had a sketch. He then took us to the hotel where we were to spend the night before starting out on the tour, which took us to Manyara, Ngorongoro, Nduti and Serengeti. All the Hotels in which were were accommodated were up to our expectations, neat and the staff were courteous and friendly. Hamisi proved to be an experienced Tour Operator. He thought of everything, food, accommodation and the sites to see. He knew precisely where to find the animals and gave us enough time to take pictures and relax. On the last day Hamisi was at the hotel to take us to the airport. He impressed us on our last day by coming with a different vehicle which we later learnt was his wife's who used it to take the kids to school. Since his vehicle developed problem that very morning, Hamisi did not want us to miss our flight back to Dar, so he took his wife's vehicle and told her to take the kids to school in a taxi. That is how conscientious and considerate Hamisi is. Overall it was an excellent trip and I would not hesitate to recommend friends and family to go with Felins de la Plaine Tours operated by Hamisi.
