A truly magical experience, taking me hundreds of years back in time!

Ngorongoro crater is a truly special and unique place. I arrived at Ngorongoro close to sunset, pitched the tent and rested for the exciting day to come.

On waking up early the next morning, the whole place was covered in fog. The slow descend from the 2100m peak to the bottom set the pace followed by an increase in my heart beat from emotions and expectations. As the 4WD went down and the mist slowly faded away, a feeling of time travel to the past filled the atmosphere.

Surprisingly, the first animals spotted were cows, taken care by Maasai farmers. As explained by our guide, they manage to live in harmony with the predators in the crater (apparently the Maasai rub the bodies of the cattle with a smelly protective herb in order to keep lions away.) What a surprise to witness cows and wild predators living so close to each other.

As the vehicle drove along the caldera roads, wildlife popped up like popcorns. In fact, this place has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

Roaming along we came across ostriches, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, elephants and many different birds. These are cool animals for first time safaris but the interesting game was yet to come.

Lions were resting on the road and along the side of the road like true kings. Probably their last moments in the open before going away to rest for the day.

Lions are nocturnal and sleep up to 20 hours a day. One can tell they are nocturnal because the area below their eyes is white, just like leopards, to reflect moonlight. Cheetahs, on the other hand, hunt during the day and have black stripes to aid their vision.

We saw a lioness guiding her 4 cubs to safety in the tall grass before leaving for a hunt. It was impossible to tell where the cubs were just moments after their mother left them. We didn't follow the hunt and continued roaming in this nostalgic and amazing reserve until after lunch.

A truly magical time travelling experience, the ancient caldera definitely lives up to its name.

A must see.

Great Value for Money
4/5

I booked my tour at quite late notice and wild dogs were great with the booking and always available for answering questions. I did the 7 day south and 7 day northern tour. Camping was great fun, there was lots of excursions and sites included in both trips. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and made the trip run smoothly. One of the groups was a size of 8 and the other a size of 14. 8 was a perfect size, but 14 felt too large. I would definitely recommend them to independent travellers, who want to explore Namibia.

Safaris with Flash Mc Tours
4/5

We went on two safari tours. The first was to Amboseli and the second was to Nakuru, Navaisha and Hell's Gate. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, which was tailor -made to fit our needs. We had an excellent driver and guide in Cyrus, who was safe, knowledgeable, accommodating and punctual. All the travel arrangements proceeded smoothly and whilst on safari the range of wildlife seen exceeded our expectations.
Although we would certainly use the company again, it would be good to have a credit card facility for payments since withdrawing large amounts of Kenyan shillings proved an expensive process.

Maximum miles in minimum time from Windhoek to Vic Falls
4/5

In May I joined the 9 Days Delta and Vic Falls Tour. The itinerary turned out to be well planned, the campsites were better than expected, we usually stayed on the campsite of a lodge with all the benefits like swimmingpool or sundowner bar. That was excellent. There were plentiful activities on the road, like folk performances in the San camp or nature walks in the Okavango.
I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants a good first overview in order to plan later trips. A comfortable trip - though with long, long bus rides - with very good catering. Our guides Willem and Abiud were extremely helpful and anticipated every individual need. Thanks again for being like fathers!!!
I hope Wild Dog will invest in the equipment. The overall impression was that many items were neglected or downright grubby (sorry, but that's a fact).

Initially we visited at Augrabies Falls National Park just to see the waterfalls. Which are amazing to view, even though we visited during the dry season. But Augrabies Falls National Park has much more to offer. We didn't expect to scenic beauty we experienced during our drive through the park, it was simply amazing. The canyons and the limited viewings of wildlife made the experience complete. I loved it and would definitely visit again if I would be in this area.

Great Trip - Can't Wait To Go Again!
4/5

Enjoyed a wonderful 8-day Kenyan Safari with three friends in March 2015 which was booked by Jacinta Amina at Breezy Tours & Travel. First night was in Nairobi followed by two nights at Elephant Bedroom Camp, a luxury tented camp in northern Kenya that was absolutely my favorite and I could have stayed there the whole time! Next a night in Proini Rhino Camp, the most primitive of the camps, with an exciting bushwalk accompanied by the Maasai Warriors and a game drive in an open side vehicle with a stop for “sundowners” at sunset. Then on to Sarova Lion Hill Lodge at Lake Nakuru for two nights to see the flocks of flamingos and enjoy the nightly local entertainment. Our last camp was Sarova Mara Game Camp in Maasai Mara ~ wow! Lions, leopards, cheetah, elephants, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest…you name it they had it! Our drive Peter Wainaina was exceptional and helped us get to all the right spots for the very best photos. The only issue we experienced was half of the payment for the hot air balloon safari portion of our trip was Enjoyed a wonderful 8-day Kenyan Safari with three friends in March 2015 which was booked by Jacinta Amina at Breezy Tours & Travel. The only issue we experienced was half of the payment for the hot air balloon safari portion of our trip was NOT paid to the vendor, so only 2 of the 4 travelers were able to experience what should have been the highlight of our trip, and then it took Breezy Tours & Travel almost two months to wire the appropriate refund, but it was finally received along with repeated apologies. Bottom line – great trip and I can’t wait to go again!
