Good
4/5

Overall experience was good. It was my 1st experience for camping. The best part was there was private shower and bathroom inside the tent. Only the downside of the tour was the food. It wasn’t that good. But the guide was so friendly. I will definitely recommend this tour company to my friends.

2019 Kenya and Tanzania safari a dream trip with NWKS, the best company and staff
5/5

I received a recommendation from a friend in Mexico who used this tour operator, which meant a lot for us, so we have the guarantee that it was going to be a trustable company and high-quality service. So, from the very beginning of our planning, all the communications were great, on time, very informative, accurate, prompt and kind. John was mi contact and I have only words to thank him for making of our safari an amazing experience for our family. He always was able and kind to answer all my doubts, made all changes I required in order to personalize our tour. We chose deluxe accommodations for Safari in Kenya and Tanzania; our selection was 8 days plus one day in Nairobi with a city tour.
We were received at the airport from the staff of NWKS with a warm welcome and were drove to our hotel in Nairobi to spent the night. Next day morning we went to Tanzania border to make change of vehicles and guides.
Thomas was so wonderful and it was an amazing coincidence that he attended my friend last year, so in some way we were connected.
It is important to mention that you have a different driver-guide and vehicle in Kenya and Tanzania, but the change is made in a smoothly, kind and quickly way. Thomas stayed with us until we finished the migration process and introduced us to Immanuel our driver-guide for Tanzania.
Tanzania was our first contact with African Safaris and definitely it was amazing. Immanuel our guide-driver was kind, helpful, with great knowledge of the parks, reserves and places. He always took well care of all our family. Every day he was on time, keep the truck clean, arranged the picnic meals and he assured that everything was ok during the check in and check out of each hotel.
During the game drives he was always very informative and always looking to find not only the big five, but many other amazing animals, with important information.
He became part of our crew during those days, always with a big smile.
We had amazing experiences, views, animal facts, land scapings and memories in Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro.
We had the opportunity to observe part of the beginning of the migration of wildebeests and zebras.
We would've skipped the visit to Lake Victoria and the fisher village, as well as the hotel stay, but it was part of the safari and we didn't have an idea how it was going to be.
Our favorite lodge in Tanzania was Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge, it is an astonishing property, full of beautiful details in decoration and service, I have no words to describe our short but amazing stay.
Once the safari ended in Tanzania, we reached the border with Kenya, where we were received by Thomas our second guide-driver, but Immanuel stayed with us until we finished migration process and made the change of vehicle.
It was the moment of the goodbye for Immanuel, we felt little sad, as he had been part of pour family during those days. We always remember our talks, our laughs and the Swahili words we learned from him. Jambo, Asante Sana , Karibu, Hakuna Matata, Rafiki, Kwaheri, and some others will have a special meaning in our life.
Then we started our Safari in Kenya in Masai Mara. Thomas, as well as Immanuel was very kind, friendly, with a vast knowledge of animals, habits, etc. that he shared with us in every game drive.
He promised that we would see also the Big Five and many more and so we did.
Every day he puts his best efforts to find the animals and we had the opportunity to observe amazing spectacles of the nature.
As well as in Tanzania Thomas made sure that everything was ok during check in and check out process, handled the picnic meals, stayed on time with the clean truck nad had great energy during all game drives.
Masai Mara was also an amazing adventure, we enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets and awesome views of wild animals.
Our stay in Melia Serengeti was a memorable one and we really enjoy our days over there.
Finally, Thomas took us back to Nairobi to rest and have our city tour next day.
I want to mention two important facts during our Safaris. In both Tanzania and Kenya, during our game drives we found a vehicle with tourists in problem, and both Immanuel and Thomas assisted them until the problem was resolved.
It proofs the quality of the guides, they not only take care of their own passengers, but of their colleagues in case of emergency. And both of them were able to fix the problem, not the other guides even when others stopped by.
Our last day in Nairobi we took the city tour visiting the Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe Centre and the Karen Blixen Museum. We loved all activities and James was very helpful and kind also during all day.
They dropped us at the airport for our night flight.
Kenya and Tanzania were an important trip in our life, full of so many important and exciting memories that I cannot describe all of them. We had valued experiences not only regarding wild life, but gastronomic, lodging, culture, history and people in Kenya and Tanzania.
Our memorable moments: Lake Manyara since it was our first contact with wild animals, Ngorongoro crater, the Big Five, Leopard in a three, 5 cheetahs crossing the road in front of us, seeing part of the big migration, watching a couple of lionesses devouring a wildebeest and then the appearance of the lion, found among hundreds of zebras an albino zebra, lions resting in the rocks, watching male giraffes necking , oh, there are so many.
Other important facts that we observed during our safaris were that parks and reserves are clean, no residues in picnic areas nor roads, they respect the plastic ban.
We are truly thankful with NWKS for helping us to have a successful dream trip, they exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate in recommend them.

Tanzania private safari Tour 5 days
5/5

We booked a 5 days private safari trip at the last moment. In one night the company organized everything, they are very professional. The car was very good. We had an excellent cook and guide. We saw a lot of animals and the guide explained the story of Tanzania.
It was a lodge and camping tour. For the camping in ngorongoto we advice you to take warm clothes as night is cold.
We recommend this company for safari tour. They are well organized, very kind and available.

Review about Masai Mara National Reserve by Maren McBride
Overall rating
4/5

The government roads were impassable because of all the rain and the subsequent mud. The Masai people are amazing in their own right, but they blocked and then "taxed" us at EVERY turn to get through their land so we could get to our camp. It felt a little sketchy after a while and made me nervous about getting into where we were staying and especially getting out of the Masai Mara at the conclusion of the safari.

I like the fact that the reserve has no fences so the animals roam freely, the wildlife seems to be in good health and is abundant, so you can see almost all the animals you are willing to see. I came back home only missing rhinos.

About: Kenya
A trip of a lifetime...worth every penny.
Overall rating
5/5

We had a most pleasurable 6 day Safari experience with Beacon Safaris. Beacon Safaris was easy to work with and worked out an itinerary to suit our individual needs. Robert was quick to respond and took away any unease we might have felt booking such a vacation from such a distance. Our accommodations were comfortable and offered conveniences we had not expected. The food at each of our accommodation spots was satisfactory. The variety and quality of the food varied with each accommodation destination with some being better quality than others. At each destination, the service staff were outstanding. Our guide/driver Kennedy was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be with for the duration of the trip. We had the chance to view each and every animal we had named to Kennedy that we wished to see. The scenery, the animals and the people of Kenya will always be memorable.
