We visited 3 Ugandian national parks for gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking & game drives.
We had a fantastic tour with Home to Africa Tours. Kareem, our guide, was personable and knowledgeable. He ensured that we saw everything we wanted to and answered our unending questions about the wildlife, culture, terrain. Hedmond was responsive to all my inquiries before the tour, helped us to make modifications to our original itinary and always replied within 24 hours. We enjoyed all of the lodging and couldn't have wished for a better trip.

Safari Big 5 showed us the Big 5!
Imran at Safari Big 5 was great! He set up everything for us and was very, very detail oriented. He was very responsive (given the 10 hr time difference) to our questions and checked in with us frequently during our stay. Our accommodations were excellent, the food was good and plentiful and felt very safe the whole time. Our safari guide, Nurdin, was very knowledgeable of the area, plants, animals, you name it you knew it or found out what it was. Plus a really interesting guy to get to know and we felt like friends by the end of our tour.
They also planned a break in Zanzibar. The guide of old stone town was funny! Also very knowledgeable and obviously a local as everyone seemed to know Abdi! It felt like getting a tour from a friend. Also felt very safe there and had a great time.
We would use them again in a second! Was truly a trip of a lifetime!

Unforgettable gorilla & chimp tracking with Fred
We were introduced to Tony at Maleng Travel by close friends who were living in East Africa at the time. Tony was responsive and detailed during the planning and booking process, and came to meet us at our hotel in Kampala before departure. Our route was Kampala > Kibale (Kyaninga Lodge) > Queen Elizabeth (Katara) > Bwindi (GFC) > Lake Bunyonyi (Bird's Nest). Fred was an incredible, friendly and knowledgable guide. We were glad we opted for the higher end lodges - while expensive, they are totally unforgettable. Our favorite activities were obviously the gorilla and chimp tracking, but hiking around / swimming in Lake Kyaninga, sitting around the camp fire listening to a local musician at GFC, and meeting Fred's family were also highlights.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE
We opted to go on a private safari with VERVET SAFARI & TOURS, (travel agency based in Arusha – Tanzania) because they provided excellent tours. We went on a 6 day Northern Tanzania Safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, and Arusha. We communicated with Basili Agustino, very friendly and helpful, with we made all plans and accommodation for the trip. He was flexible and she make the trip to all our requirements. Our guide Evance, was a good person and very friendly, educated us with the history of each park, the environment and the animals. We were very lucky to see lions rest, flamingoes, pelicans, baboons, impala, cheetahs and lions hunting. Our guide was very flexible to our wishes and needs. The tour was amazing, we stayed in a mix of wonderful tented camp and lodges that were comfortable and had excellent services. It was the first time in Africa for me and my boyfriend, our experience with Vervet Safari & Tours was phenomenal and we will be recommending the company to all.

A great, thoughtful and experienced agency
We had a great 11 day honeymoon in Tanzania which included a city break, safari and time on the beach. The last 4 days on Mafia Island was our favourite part. We were treated very well by the staff at Pole Pole. The food was delicious and the snorkelling was fantastic. Wayfairer were extremely helpful before, during and after our stay. I particularly liked how easy it was to get in contact with them by email, phone or WhatsApp throughout my time dealing with them. Thank you.

Amazing experiences through Rwanda and Uganda
The tour was very easy to set up. Edrissa worked with us to accommodate our wishes. We had an 18 day private safari, starting in Rwanda and ending in Uganda. The guest houses, local guides, variety of activities and field experiences were all that we hoped for. Paul was an excellent driver especially on the mountainous roads of Rwanda. Golden monkeys, gorillas, lions seeping in trees and rhinos were some of the highlights. We also had the opportunity to interact with the local people and visit several schools. An unforgettable experience.

Over and above
My friend and I went on a six day safari to Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli. We had a fantastic time! We saw almost every type of animal. Our tour guide went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had an enjoyable adventure. The lodging in both Masai Mara and Nakuru were comfortable and clean. The lodging in Amboseli was less so and I would highly suggest a change in lodging location. Be prepared to eat something similar every day, but all of it was good food. Over all, my friend and I had an amazing time, would recommend this trip, and would do it again.

Thinking about a budget/camping Safari in Kenya - Go for Land Rail Safaris
Being a solo and budget traveller, I was planning for 3N/4D safari trip to Masai Mara,Lake Nakuru & Lake naivasha and was browsing through the Safaribookings.com for a best tour operator in Kenya for Camping Safaris and requested for quotes from 3 operators. Of the 3 quotes that i had received, quote from M/s LAND RAIL SAFARIS was in line with my budget with free Airport Pickup and Drop (which other operators were charging extra), daily Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner. Their payment terms too were flexible. Hence i decided to go with them for my Kenyan Safari adventure.
Though the other quotes, that i received from 2 other operators were lucrative, i decided to book with LAND RAIL SAFARIS because of Mr.STEVE, the gentleman who was coordinating with me about my queries. From the day 1 of sending my query until the end of my trip, Mr.Steve was in touch with me and he was very quick in responding to my emails and queries through whatsapp.
Upon arrival at the airport, i was picked by their driver and was taken to the hotel in Nairobi, where i was staying there for the rest of the night.
Next day morning,1st day of our tour, i was been picked up by their driver and was been taken to a place named NAROK, which is a meeting point/junction where the Safari vehicles exchange the passengers, who are coming back from safari and going for safari. At NAROK, we had our lunch and then we were transferred to a SAFARI vehicle, which was driven by a fantastic guide named Mr.STANLEY. He was an amazing guide with loads of experience in safari driving and vast knowledge on the animals and their behaviors. From Narok, we were taken to LAKE NAKURU and began our safari through the beautiful lake in the RIFT Valley region. Baboons, Zebras, Antelopes, Gazeles were abundant and we saw our first Big 5 there, the Buffaloes. They too were abundant and finally we saw the Southern White Rhinos (2nd Big 5). Our guide Mr.Stanley took us so close (at a safer distance) to these animals and he had a beautiful view of them.By sunset, we were taken back to a nearby town in NAKURU region and stayed there in CITYMAX hotel for the night.
On Day 2, we had our breakfast at the hotel and went to LAKE NAIVASHA , which is the only sweet water lake in the Rift valley region and had a fantastic Boat ride in the lake and had a chance to see a lot of Hippos (but they were inside the water as we went there by the noon) and saw lots of birds. Also we were been taken for a walking safari , where we were been guided through lots of Wildebeest,Zebras, Gazelles and Giraffes were roaming around freely, while we walk around the island. After this trip, we were taken directly to Masai Mara Camp (MITIMINGI ECO CAMP) and dropped our baggage in our shared room (2 beds) in the camp and went straight to MASAI VILLAGE and saw the lifestyle of the Masai people and returned back to our camp for dinner.
On Day 3, we visited the MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE, which was located very near to our camp and upon entry we were spellbound by seeing thousands of Wildebeests, Zebras, Giraffes, Antelopes and Gazelles. We had a chance to see the balance of Big 5's (Lion, Elephant and Leopard) during the day of our Masai Mara trip. We even had a chance to see 2 Cheetahs with their kill (Wildebeest) and 3 male Lions with their kill (a Buffalo) and hundreds of Vultures feasting on a Wildebeest. After a full day safari we returned back to our camp by sunset.
On Day 4, we started early in the morning (before sunrise) and visited MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE again and saw lots of birds and animals. After about 2 hours of early morning safari, we started from Masai Mara and reached back the Narok town for lunch. After lunch, we were been transferred to a van and taken to Nairobi Airport.
These 4days were really adventurous and exciting trip for me. I was missing trips to Mombasa and Amboseli, due to the limited time i had. Overall, my Kenyan Safari experience was excellent one and i strongly recommend the tour operator M/s LAND RAIL SAFARIS. Thanks to our coordinator Mr.Steve and guide Mr.Stanley.
