A budget safari that was more than we expected... we saw lots of animals, the drive and the places we stayed made it more adventurous.
Our driver John was exceptional (very knowledgeable about wildlife and a happy soul)... he made the trip so smooth and fun!
The company was very quick to answer any queries we had and made sure we did all that was included in the package.

Tony was wonderful-full of knowledge about the animals and culture as well as a safe driver!
We did a three night safari tour, one night in lake Nakuru and two in Mara. Tony picked us up in Nairobi and was very knowledgeable about the culture and area as we made our drive to our first resort. We did two game drives while in Nakuru- we saw countless animals with a highlight of watching a lion chase. We then made our way over to the Mara in great time where we had many opportunities to see even more animals. Tony knew the park very well and was able to find all three cats. We always felt safe and were pleased with Tony’s willingness to be beyond flexible with our schedule and needs. We will definitely be back in the future.

Money Well Spent on the Amazing 10 Day Signature Tour
We recently returned from the 10 day Signature Tour in South Africa, with the 3 day add on of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. It was an amazing trip! The ability to be as close to the animals as we were was unbelievable. The highlight of the trip was being 15 feet from two lions eating a young giraffe at Tshukudu. We couldn’t get enough of giraffes, zebras, rhinos, buffalos and elephants. Our guides were very knowledgeable and personable, and always available. All in all a great time and a great big tick on our bucket list. We definitely would recommend Go Touchdown and this specific tour to others.

excellent 3-day safari from African Pangolin
We took the 3-day 2-night Mikumi/Udzungwa tour from African Pangolin. We were originally booked for this tour in May 2020, but all travel fell apart with the coronavirus, and we had to cancel. Mansoor from Pangolin was great with communication leading up to our 2020 ticket, and then also when the trip got cancelled. We stayed in touch, and when 2023 gave the green light for the tour, we booked again with Pangolin and were very glad to finally be able to make the safari. Mansoor is professional, prompt, and personal in setting up the experience. Highest recommendation.
Our driver/guide for the safari and trekking adventure was Zakaria. He speaks English very well, is a great driver, and has very deep knowledge of biology, particularly of the large animals, birds, and plants. Zakaria is a personable guy who made for great company for three days. The Land Cruiser we rode in is a very tough vehicle that could handle all the road conditions. Everything was very safe.
The safari itself was a fantastic experience. It was the late stage of the rainy season, but we were fortunate that we didn't have rain. The parks were almost empty of people, and just full of the big animals. They were everywhere; very little time passed between encounters. I suppose we were quite lucky, but the adventure was everything we could expect and more. Many, many giraffes and zebras, sometimes together. Impala, eland, water buffalo, warthogs, baboons, wildebeest, jackals, crocodile, monkeys, hippopotamus, many birds. Two lions together, right next to our vehicle, that we observed for a long time. Close-range elephants. Amazing looks from the Land Cruiser.
The hike up to the falls in Udzungwa the next day was very nice, if a little challenging on the way up. It's a long drive to and from Mikumi NP, so we had a chance to see a lot of village life in rural Tanzania that one does not see in Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar City. The mid-range accommodations were quite comfortable, and the meals were very good. Safaris are quite expensive, but this 3-day expedition was good value for the money. Great driver/guide, great service, reliable company.

Amazing Safari experience
I joined the 5 day safari tour and it was amazing from start to finish. Booking with Suricata was very smooth and easy. Hillary, the owner, was very quick to respond to all my queries. Overall, everything went as planned.
I booked a mixed accommodation - 2 nights in lodge & 2 nights camping. To my surprise, i was upgraded to stay at the newly built Suricata Boma lodge and it was excellent. It just opened and according to them, I was their second guest. I was literally the only guest during my 2 night stay and everyone was so accommodating and helpful.
As for the safari tour, I was lucky to be part of an amazing group headed by our excellent driver/guide, Rocky. Rocky was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to provide good details about the safari, what to expect and he was able to answer all questions. We were also able to see the Big 5.
I highly recommend Suricata Safaris. They’re truly the best in Tanzania. They go above and beyond what is expected. I’m definitely booking another tour with them next time I visit.
