Very responsive and catered to our needs, right down to the last details :)
5/5

We would recommend Kathi and African Welcome Safaris to anyone who wants to make a visit to Cape Town and have a safari experience built in. Kathi was super responsive right from the start, without being too imposing. It was our first visit to South Africa and my family and I had the most awesome experience, from being up on the magnificent Table Mountain, soaking in the ambience at the waterfront to the magical bush experience at Tintswalo. I was travelling with 4 elderly folks and Kathi made it the most stress-free holiday ever for me...from the transfers to tickets. After a 14h flight from Singapore, it was great that arrangements were already made with the hotel for an early check-in. Our guide in Cape Town, Rhys was very accommodating and knowledgeable. We felt very safe with him.

The stay at Tintswalo Manor House was amazing and magical.

We will definitely want to make another trip back and have African Welcome Safaris take care of our itinerary :)

My best private safari in Africa!
5/5

I booked this safari 3 months in advance and the entire booking process with Richard, Mali Kale Africa Safaris has been smooth and flawless. He had taken all details including hotel, dietary requirements and even arrived at the hotel the previous day to meet and greet.

We went to Tarangire National Park after our safari in Masai Mara and if we had thought that we had already seen enough animals, we'd have been wrong. Tarangire is an elephant paradise, and holds a lot of surprises. There are very few elephants in Masai Mara. We saw a variety of animals including hundreds of elephants, huge pride of lions, a leopard, giraffes, gazelle, impalas, dik-dik, baboons, blue balled vervet monkeys, ostrich, warthog (Pumba) and dwarf mongoose. There were many elephant and lion skulls at the entrance too.

Our driver James was the most patient guide ever. It was just my husband and me, and he would stop for any length of time, as long as we would like to see and take pictures, also stopping at the Baobab tree and a tortoise where we could get down and take pictures. He provided details about every animal throughout the tour. The lunch was excellent with a breathtaking view of the river and landscape of Tarangire. We requested James to take us to the snake park after our safari. He took us to the snake park where we saw a variety of snakes and held a snake and tortoise, the Masai museum and shopping at a souvenir shop at no extra cost.

Richard and James helped us a lot beyond our safari. Richard provided a contact in Kenya who helped us book buses to Uganda and Rwanda too. We were taken good care of the hotel as the hotel owner was a good friend of Richard's.

I highly recommend Tarangire safari as its a wonderful national park with abundant wildlife and with Mali Kale Africa safaris as it makes the safari worthwhile. The safari tour and all the help with utmost patience is highly appreciated.

Amazing experience with Gilmag and Gilbert (our guide), we cannot recommend them enough.
5/5

Probably the best tour company in our 4 month Africa trip.
Some of the reasons:
- Very affordable package compared to all other safari companies offering the same. They are a local company that started 3 years ago looking to build their profile.
- Excelent Serena hotels and we had a free hotel upgrade (+$100 more expensive)
- Very customizable Safari, we had the option to select full days or two half days. Full days was mostly our choice so we could get further away from the camps.
- Gilbert took us to non-tourist areas in Serengeti (research area). We saw +10 cheetahs and lions in one day.
- Very experienced guide, Gilbert had +7 years experience. He had great communication with other guides that gave him an advantage finding animals (lions, leopards, cheetahs).
- The car quality was excellent.

In summary, we feel really lucky to have picked up this company for our safari.

The best experience of my life!
5/5

We visited Masai Mara early in June and we were lucky that the wildebeest migration has started early this year. We had booked only a 2-day safari which is effectively 2 half days and covers only a small part of Masai Mara. Our tour guide suggested us to extend it for a day, in which the second day is a full day safari and goes up to the Mara river where the wildebeest migration starts. We took the 3-day safari and it was the best decision ever. The wildebeest migration in one of the new seven natural wonders of the world. There we 2-3 million wildebeest dotting the plains of Masai Mara. We saw many lions, lionesses, cheetah, elephants, hippos, a rhino, gazelle, giraffe, zebras, topi antelope, impalas, ostrich, crowned cranes, a variety of storks and kingfishers, secretary bird, vultures, warthogs (Pumba), baboons, Nile crocodile and Nile monitor lizard.

Our driver Raymond had the eye of an eagle and could spot animals from a distance. He spotted lions far away and drove close to it so that we could have a better look and capture many pictures. Name an animal, and Raymond will ensure that you will see it. On the third day, he suggested we visit the Masai village instead of the safari which was a good decision too. We learnt a lot about the culture and practices of the Masai tribe and many friends back home and on Facebook are more interested in the Masai tribe than the wildlife of Masai Mara.

I highly recommend a Masai Mara safari with Karibu Safaris in Kenya for a minimum of 3 days.

We have relied on Gideon Tanzania Safari because recommended by friends. The availability, competence and reliability demonstraded by Gideon and his partners have been excellent. Everything has been arranged and planned in detail.
Thanks to the skillful guide-drivers Gideon is working with, we could have seen wild nature at its best.
The accomodations where we spent our nights in to visit Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks were all confortable, perfectly furnished and managed by lovely people.
Gideon gave us the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience.

Lots happening on the floor of the crater. Neat to see the animals in different scenery other than the bush.

Limited wildlife viewing. If you are only in Tanzania one day, this might be ok for a day trip, but as far as a safari destination, I’d go for the bigger parks.

About: Tanzania
Tanzania Serengeti is absolutely amazing!

5/5

When I first entered Serengeti NP, I was sure there wouldn’t be much to see. I was pleasantly surprised in less than a few hours! The wildlife was abundant-saw the Big 5 in the central Serengeti over the course of a couple of days in addition to a female cheetah and 2 cubs. Black rhino was even wondering through the central Serengeti on my last morning drive, which apparently is extremely rare. Serengeti Heritage tented tented camp was excellent. Traveled with African Savannah Trekkers and Horace as my guide. The planning experience with Maureen from start to finish was excellent! Horace was a great guide who I would recommend to any single traveler or group.

Tarangire NP and Ngorongoro Creater were both beautiful with abundant animals, even saw a serval in the crater! Only thing I would skip if I was going back would be Lake Manyara. After seeing so much in the Serengeti, the Crater, and Tarangire, Lake Manyara was uneventful.
