Amazing
Overall rating
5/5

Ker & Downey planned the trip of a lifetime for us. From our Safari in Phinda and another to Sabi Sabi along with our time in cape town and the wine lands. Everything and everyone was outstanding. The people, the accommodations, the food, the wildlife and even our transportation were first class all the way. It was a trip I would take again and not change a thing. Thank you Ker & Downey!

Silas is a fantastic guide with very good knowledge of the different parks we visited.
5/5

The company offers good service and knowledge. I have travelled with them several times and always had a great time. Reliable, flexible, knows all the best places to find even the most rare animals, and last but not least, make you feel like you are on a safari with a good friend. I van warmly recommend this company.

A unique Educational Adventure - Save the Rhino Walking Safari
5/5

A year ago we were approached by Nick Buys of Nature Travel Namibia to see if we would be interested in participating in a unique new safari opportunity - Save the Rhino Walking Safari. The safari would give us the opportunity to track one of the most endangered African Mammal Species, the black Rhino, and to learn first hand the conservation measures being undertaken in Namibia. Having travelled with Nature Travel Namibia a few years ago, and experiencing a great safari at that time, we did not hesitate sign up for this journey, and again we had an exceptional experience. In preparation for the trip, the team at Nature Travel Namibia, were very prompt in responding to any questions we had, assisting us with booking pre and post accommodation in Windhoek and providing a good summary of the safari. On arrival in Windhoek the transfer process was seamless our guesthouse. We were picked up as scheduled on the first day of the safari and had a pleasant day drive to the Palmwag Lodge where two nights were spent prior to the start of the safari. The lodge is quite comfortable with great staff and tasty food. While at the lodge we visited the Save the Rhino Trust office location to learn more about their activities and history. The next six days were spent in the Palmwag Concession, in which the itinerary would be varied and could change depending upon what we encountered. We would occasionally walk, a few times we came across fresh tracks, would then track the Rhino, and were successful in locating the Rhinos. From a safe distance would observe this grand animal in its natural habitat. At other times during the day we would be on a game drive in the open air Toyota Land Cruiser. We came across, lions, elephants, springbok, zebra, oryx, giraffes, during our drives and walking experiences. The accommodation for six nights was camping - absolutely stellar - under the light of a full moon! For 4 of the nights we were completely alone, on the last couple of nights the campsite was more traditional with showers(!) and only a couple of other campers. The bedding provided was comfortable and it was easy to sleep. Breakfasts and lunches were straightforward and the dinners were always prepared over an open campfire and consisted of a variety of meats / game or chicken - always very delicious. The team that accompanied us on the journey was all great. This small group adventure was a memorable experience and Nature Travel Namibia did not disappoint!

Amazing safari
5/5

Lydia was very helpful and kind from the beginning.
She answered all my questions, helped wherever she could.
I could leave my big bag at her office while I went to Maasai Mara.
the drives were great and we got to see many animals, the big 4, as we didn't get to see the rhino, but noone has for the past 2 months :)

The most amazing safari tour in my life
5/5

Everything on the 4 day safari tour was perfect. Our guide Mandela and chef Hilda have always done their best in their roles and even we have been very impressed. Originally, the Tarangire NP-Serengeti-Ngorongoro course was scheduled, but when we arrived on site, it was changed to Serengeti-Ngorongoro-TarangireNP to arrange each tour member schedule. I did not mind the order of travel so it was okay. But this order was better for us and more thankful to them. We had traveled to Namibia in advance and wanted to see the strong cats of Serengeti because we experienced many herbivores. But this safari tour made me feel that it was not all about taking pictures and seeing the animals inhabited. The animals are kind of similar, but depending on the location and environment of the national park, the behavior and habits of the animals and the moods in the vast nature have been combined to make each national park unique. When people were taking pictures of lions, we focused more on the movement of tens of thousands of zebras in the field, the vast nature that stretched out infinitely, and their feeling to each other. Now I started to see the entire national park without looking at every single animal. I would like to express my gratitude to guide Mandela for bringing this up to a humorous and humorous explanation. Hilda was the best chef and all the food was delicious and in her bright appearance we felt good all day long. I was able to email with the manager Hilary, but I was thankful for the quick and careful reply of the chatting level. He is a great manager. I highly recommend the safari with this Suricata. I am very grateful for making happy memories of my life.

Excellent experience!
5/5

E-Trip Africa definitely exceeded my expectations.

The communication before the start of our trip was excellent. As a result of the fact I was admitted to a hospital before the original date of our trip, their team did their best to reschedule the dates.

The proposed itinerary was very nice. The company is very transparent as regards the costs of the trip - the price is broken down into the various components. You know exactly what you pay for.

Prices are reasonable.

Guide Victor was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the birds and animals of the area.

If I were you, I would look no further.

It was more than I imagined!
5/5

I read all the reviews before booking this safari and ever with all of of the 5 start ratings, it doesn't does Africa Joy Tours no justice. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!!

From the beginning Suzy was so attentive and accommodating while we communicated during the booking process. She was very thorough making sure we considered everything in preparation for the trip.

Now to the actual safari, words are insufficient in describing my contentment! Every step of the way, Africa Joy Tours have exceeded my already high expectations with such immense attention to detail. They have considered their guest in every thing that they do and it is clear that customer satisfaction is primary.

In addition to their superior customer service and attention to detail, it is the tour guides at Africa Joy Tours that sets it light years ahead of any other company. Our tour guide Joackim has been nothing short of SPECTACULAR! This man is not only the nicest and friendliest person, he knows his stuff. You can tell he enjoys his job and goes the extra mile to make sure we have a fantastic experience. He studies the animals in his spare time and he knows the parks like the back of his hand. There hasn't been a question that Joackim hasn't been able to answer and I doubt we will find one. I have never experienced a person that goes so far above and beyond to make their guests happy. He isn't just satisfied with driving you around to say he is doing his job. Joackim always manages to find the rare occurrences. On our trip we have seen a leopard, 7 cheetahs, lions mating, lions kill and eat a zebra, among so many other views. Every day I tell Joackim, I am more and more convinced we made the right decision.

If you are ever considering a safari, I HIGHLY recommend Africa Joy Tours and ask for Joackim. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!

This company was fantastic from beginning to end. I went into this with a fear of getting scammed, but I was anything but. Amos, who was in charge of setting everything up for us, was very responsive despite the time zone difference. He didn't pressure us into booking and gave us time to decide what option was right for us (unlike every other company, they badgered us incessantly and threatened price changes, after already quoting us a higher than listed price). The price quoted was exactly what was listed on the site and there were zero surprise fees, or any surprises for that matter. Amos answered all of our questions, and put our minds at ease when reservation confirmations were slower than we expected (his contacts had taken vacation, it turned out). Everything fell into place perfectly, our guide and the driver for the safari were both wonderful, the ruaha hilltop lodge was fantastic, and WAY better than we expected, the safari itself ended up being the highlight of our trip. We can't fully express how much we'd recommend this company, especially after having limited, but awful, interaction with the competition. Booking with these folks is a ticket to a stress free reservation process and a stress free once in a lifetime experience. You're done researching now, go ahead and contact them!
