Excellent communication
5/5

Rade gave us excellent communication thought out trying to sort our safari for 2019 all of the accommodation looked lovely but it was only the payment side as to why we didn’t book if we could have paid with a secure payment we would have booked there and then unfortunately they are in the process of doing this but if this doesn’t put you off I recommend this company highly .

Fantastic arrangements & memorable trip
5/5

Wild Portrait Safaris was recommended by my photographer cousin. James Muchina was absolutely to the point regarding the planning, bookings and making arrangements. Despite having our own ideas, he suggested and tweaked our plan little bit and we found that was a good decision. Right from pick up at Nairobi airport, to the stays, game drives, it was a fantastic and memorable trip. He is a perfect guy to go to if one loves the wildlife and is keen to have full day safaris. His knowledge of the animals, their moves was wonderful. Could get a lot of good photographs due to his well anticipated car driving on the games. Would be him again definitely if Kenya is repeated!

Amazing experience
5/5

Hi everyone! I and my wife went to Tanzania for a honeymoon and of course we decided to do the most important thing - to conquer the top of Africa. Our friends have recommended us RUPIA ADVENTURE company. We discussed our climbing and safari remotely. I think prices are rather high but as a reward we got a better quality compared with competitors. RUPIA ADVENTURE company has a new equipment: tents, sleeping bags, even their safari car is new and very cool! During the ascent the team took care of us. Surely they were earning money but they did their work well. It is not so easy to find such good team. It is a chief’s merit! I have some tips for those who are going to conquer Kilimanjaro, firstly, don’t doubt, it is very cool! Secondly, choose only RUPIA ADVENTURE! We do not have any bad emotions or any remarks. Everything was great!

Best Trip Ever! Perfect Planning From Journeys Discovering Africa
5/5

BEST trip ever! We are fortunate to be able to travel a lot due to our line of work and we always plan fairly independently. However, Africa was proving to be very tough to plan independently, so we enlisted Patrick from Journey's Discovering Africa. He was awesome. He listened to what we were seeking, presented options with good details on each option, and is actually the reason we ended up seeing the Wildebeest migration! My husband really wanted to see that, and once Patrick learned that, he suggested pushing out our travel dates by a few weeks for maximizing chances. He was excellent in his attitude and advice and expertise. Even if we hadn't seen the great migration it would have been a phenomenal and best trip, but the great migration was icing on the cake!
Our guides, (Raphiele for Tarangire and Ngorongoro) and Jairo (for Serengeti and Lamai Serengeti) were fantastic! Raphiele was our guide up until we went to the Serengeti, and he was great: energetic, enthusiastic, respectful of nature, got us up and out very early, fun to hang out with, good attitude, and very knowledgeable about the animals and behavior and finding the good spots. Same goes for Jairo... he really knows the Serengeti! It was fantastic to be with him: he literally found us amazing sitings with no other people around ... and he knew how to get us into the heart of the migration and was spot on for timing with the wildebeest crossings, which we witnessed in full! It was absolutely surreal and incredible to witness, both thrilling and heart-wrenching. I've never seen anything like it, and never will again. Just a once in a lifetime. Jairo was also really good about being super respectful to the animals and nature. He really knew how to give the animals enough space that we weren't totally encroaching or making the animals wary. He knows animal behavior very well and was so good about explaining it. He just knows so much about the Serengeti, it was obvious he knew how to survey the land, and what circumstances were happening that suggested what animal was nearby. He had an incredible instinct and eye for detail. We really appreciated that he let us witness some amazing sites (lion feedings etc.) but he also didn't do things that would make the animals skittish, so we got to enjoy watching and photographing without being disruptive. Nomad really was the perfect outfitter for us, from guides to lodging and the people hosting at the lodges. We loved it. We really felt like we had the "best guides ever" :).
We absolutely will touch base with Journeys Discovering Africa again for a future trip we hope we are able to do (Botswana, Namibia, Uganda, etc.) in a few years, should we be so fortunate. And I've already recommended Journeys Discovering Africa to friends who saw my posts on social media and started asking who we planned our trip with. You really nailed it for us with Nomad as guides/lodging and the itinerary, thank you so much! Special thanks to Patrick at Journeys Discovering Africa, and to Raphi, and Jairo from Nomad!

Exceptional Photographic Tour of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park!
5/5

When Shaheen recommended that the Kgalagadi was a great place for an amateur wildlife photographer, I leapt at the chance to arrange a game drive through Legend Safaris. The service I got on this 4 night/5 day tour of the park was truly exceptional! Arun, the head guide at Legend Safaris, picked me up from Upington in the early hours of the first morning, and we drove to the park to begin our game drive on the same day. Over the following days, Arun put in some seriously hard work with his driving to make sure we covered the vast distances of the Kgalagadi effectively, in order to maximise our game viewing opportunities. At times, the going was tough - in particular, on our third day, we hadn't had a single exceptional sighting the whole day. We had driven from Twee Rivieren at the very southern tip of the park, all the way up to Marie Se Drai without so much as an ear poking out of the bush. We had covered exactly 294 kilometres, and still Arun maintained his professionalism and drive to get me an exceptional shot. And then, we were rewarded with a pair of lions - a beautiful male in the prime of his life, and the lioness he was paired with - literally two metres away from our vehicle, basking on the sandy road in the Kgalagadi sun. We stayed with that pair for nearly 3 hours after that, all the while Arun maneauvering the car with the changing light and as a courtesy to other visitors to allow them an opportunity to view the lions as well. My 5 days in the park were filled with such remarkable stories and the cherry on top was the bonus day Shaheen had booked for me in Nossob camp, free of charge, to attempt some star photography. The service I received through Legend Safaris was far and beyond what I expected, and I am extremely grateful to both Shaheen, the owner, and Arun, the head guide, for making my stay so very memorable and for imprinting the Kgalagadi's wonders on me in such a special way. I would heartily recommend the company to anyone considering a trip to South Africa for game viewing, as their expertise and knowledge of the bush, along with their hospitality, is sure to make anyone's experiences extremely enjoyable.
