Unforgettable great experience
Overall rating
5/5

We had a one-week safari. Our guide, Salum, was awesome: a skilled driver who knows a lot about parks, animals and local life. We enjoyed all three parks we have been to: Selous (many animals, amazing landscape, lovely campsite), Ruaha (the most untouched and particularly quite) and Mikumi (with many animals but way more turistic and overcrowded). Accommodation and meals were good though basic. Sometimes we had lunch in unforgettable places inside the parks. Food in the Selous Campsite will stay in our memory forever: the best food we had over three weeks in Tanzania thanks to Amos!

Incredible experience!
5/5

What a gem! Planning for the 10 days was left to Rose and team, and they did a marvellous schedule giving us a view of both the Khwai as well as the Kalahari. We experienced both private and 'public' areas, as well as the fixed tented and 'camping' experience. They were all superb. Food was great throughout, and the daily safari drives gave us an opportunity to see every animal expected. What I liked most was the simple and concise guides provided that help throughout the trip.

Outstanding!
5/5

We have returned from our four day safari and it was excellent! I can't imagine how our trip could have been better. Everything was absolutely excellent! We loved our guide - Wilson. What a great guide. He went above and beyond in everything he did for us and ensuring our safety but also that we had an excellent tour. When he took us to game tour - he was outstanding. He took us to places I doubt others go and he pointed out animals we didn't see until he showed us. It was utterly amazing.

Please know that if we ever come back to Uganda and do another trip, we will be contacting Intek Travel!

THE BEST TRIP EVER!
5/5

THE BEST POSSIBLE TRIP EVER
My 28 year old daughter and I just came back from the 5 day gorilla and Chimpanzee trek last week.
Every minute of this adventure was absolutely incredible! We saw and learned about so many things I never knew went on in the world or even existed. The land, the people and the animals of this incredible land are so beautiful.
The drive to the Forest from Entebbe is a must! There is so much to see that Westerners will probably never experience otherwise.
The hospitality at every stop and the lodges is beyond belief! You are mad to feel at home in this extraordinary land and you do. The food is fantastic everywhere you go.
The Gorillas and Chimps are even grander than you could imagine and well worth every second of the brutal mountain jungle hike!
We had the most incredible driver/guide for the 5 days. Hannington was not only very knowledgeable in all aspects of the culture, land and animals but was also the most incredible driver I have ever met (and you will want a superb driver for this trip)! Hannington knows many languages extensively and easily converses with his clients as well as any of the local people in all the areas we visited. He seems to be very well liked by all. Although he made our trip very fun and kept our anticipation up for each new days adventure, he also was very professional in every respect. He ensured our safety and enjoyment at all times.
Thank you to this great company for making so many wonderful memories for the rest of our lives!

Incredible safari - would definitely recommend!!!
5/5

We have just returned from a 5 day safari with Mama Savana. We had the most incredible experience!

Everything was so well organised from the start. The owner of Mama Savana (Alex) was really responsive via email and whatsapp, which made organising our itinerary very easy. Our itinerary was completely customised for us, working around our flight schedule and preferences for camps and national parks. Alex was very professional - meeting us upon arriving for a quick welcome breakfast, staying in touch throughout the safari and calling us at the end to wish us a safe onwards trip.

The safari itself did not disappoint; we couldn't have wished for a better driver. Amani has been doing safaris for Mama Savana for 7 years. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife we saw, giving us just the right amount of information. We saw lions, cheetah, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, gazelle etc. To top it off, we even saw a river crossing as part of the great migration! Above all, Amani was very respectful of the wildlife (which is something we noticed some other drivers were not). Amani clearly takes pride in his job. He would get up early every morning to clean the jeep and was always punctual. We noticed other drivers asking him for advice on occasion. Water was free and the car had a battery in case phones or cameras ran out of power. The jeep was comfortable and Amani was a very safe driver.

We are still on a high from our trip - it was amazing! We would highly recommend Mama Savana Safaris for anyone looking to do a safari!

Wonderful! Great Attention to Detail! Great Wildlife!
5/5

Nature's Wonderland Safari took us on a 10 day tour of 2 national parks in Kenya! We saw so much wildlife! Our teenage children enjoyed the trip, and our tour guide was individually taking care of us, so we were able to see whatever we wanted to see in a comfortable jeep. We had plenty of refreshments and comfort on our ride. The highlight was staying in the Masai Mara in very nice tents! The food was great and the people friendly. We way lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants and more! Our guide was aware of what was safe to do and when we should stay in the car, so we felt comfortable the whole time. Kenya is beautiful and I'd definitely go again!

Eexcellent trip with friendly guide, highly recommended.
5/5

Overall excellent experience during the entire 5 days. We visited several tribes during our visit and saw many different types of wildlife, including lions, zebras, herds of elephants and giraffes as well as many other animals. Accommodations varied from an adequate tent with working plumbing, to a tent in bad condition with a broken toilet seat, then back to a nice hotel. Our driver (Jimmy) was excellent and friendly, as well as helpful the entire 5 days. The vehicle we drove in had excellent viewing windows and a roof which opened, allowing for many photo opportunites of animals close up.

A highly recommended experience for Travellers not afraid to rough it in tents or spend 5 hours a day driving, who are up for seeing the Safari closeup and having a unique experience.

Safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro
4/5

We booked the Safari for 5 days to visit Tarangire Park, Serengeti Park and Ngorongoro Park. It was a great experience and we are so happy with the company.

We booked a private safari that included a private car, chef and guide. That was a good decision. Both were very attentive to our needs and preferences.

The day before to start the safari, when we arrived to Arusha Airport, a car from the company brought us to the hotel. Afterthat, they came with us to the hotel, where we could ask the last questions before depart the following day.

We chose to sleep in Public Campsites. The Public Campsites are located inside the parks, for this reason you can listen the animals during the night. There the chefs cook and you sleep in tends and sleeping bags. In the Campsites there are toilets and showers, but without hot water. This is the price that you have to pay for sleep in the middle of the park.

During our Safari we could see the Big Five and all kind of animals! Moreover we demanded to our guide to see the sunrise and the sunset and he took us to special sites.

The transfers by car from one Park to another Park were long, but you have another options, like do it by plane.

That was the first Safari and for this reason we had many questions, but the company answered us every questions and the emails.

When the Safari was over, people from the company came to the hotel to do the last feedback and checked that everything was okey. Also they offered to took us to the airport the next day.

That’s a great experience and we are very happy. We could meet other tourists that they had bad luck with their chefs and guides from other companies.

Thanks Orongai for this experience. We will repeat for sure.

Customized, Targeted and Great Safari
5/5

We traveled as a group of 3 families (with kids from 10years to teen adults) and did our safari in Aug3-13 2018. We tailored and customized our safaris to fit the likes of three families ranging from 2 families on their first safari and third family on their 5th safari focused on wildlife Photography. We chose the three parks - Masai Mara, NAkuru and Laikipia

Organization, Service, communications : Perfect from day one (a year back in AUg2017) when we started looking at the options to the day we left, communications, service were excellent. Edwina did a great job of keeping us in loop and even arranged an additional birding guide in our car for us (Francis was excellent). Tom was our guide / driver, excellent in guiding and took great pleasure in meeting customer expectations. This year was unique in the sense that the migration arrived late, and when we saw the crossing, Tom exhaled and you can see he was carrying our wishes on his sleeve.

We did not stay at the crossing but always looking for other animals but Tom kept in constant touch with other drivers if there was any gathering of animals near the crossing points - he also took a lot of effort to locate cats, birds and had the pleasure of going to the Kenya-Tanzania border. Tom, Thanks for the wonderfull safari.

Overall we would love to go back again and would not hesitate to use Africa Travel Waves
