The service is perfect. The person called Hanlie was always helping through whatsapp almost instantaneously as soon as I write a message she would reply.

AFRICAN NIGHTMARE: AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS

Michael Ahabwe Mugerwa of Mushra Travel, located in Uganda, has provided the WORST travel experience in our 35 years of roaming the globe.. After carefully planning out a 2 week dream vacation to Africa with our best friends (costing in the mid-20k range) our dream journey turned into a horrible nightmare as we discovered that our travel agent had run off with our money.

Michael, who had had made a number of glowing promises in his initial proposal and final itinerary and took our our deposits and told us everything had been arranged and reservations had been made. But while on our trip we soon discovered that was not true and that there were no reservations or payments made, leaving us having to pay twice for most of our hotels and activities promised in our carefully planned itinerary (e.g.the surprise of downgraded hotels, canceled flights, two days of gorilla trekking). So our dream visit to East Africa quickly melted into a pool of disappointment, frustration and uncertainty as to what problems we might encounter next.

Initially we tried to give Michael the benefit of the doubt. But after recurring problems over several days it become evident that these were not simple mistakes or accidental errors but were intentional actions by Michael to deceive, confuse and scam us as he had done with prior clients.

As problems kept recurring and we confronted Michael, he either lied, blamed others, and made excuses, all as a way of not taking any responsibility for these problems Being trusting souls, It took us a few days to realize that we had been scammed and did what we could to salvage some semblance of our planned African vacation. As before on our visits to Africa, we found the people to be warm and friendly and the animals and game drives fascinating

Honesty, integrity, direct communication, dedication, are all traits you would look for in a good travel agent and are critical to a well planned and executed vacation . Sadly, these are traits that do not exist in Michael Ahabwe Muge or Mushra Travel. Currently we are trying to recover some of the thousands of dollars taken from us .But that will never restore or change the complete picture. For Michael not only scammed us and stole our money, but more importantly, he broke our trust and tainted our dream of a wonderful African vacation.

A wild experience of a lifetime !
5/5

Our travel guide , Roger, did an excellent job right from the first conversation, discussion of various possible options . He took us through the entire list of possible combinations at Tanzania with the time that we had at hand. Once we jointly finalised the itinerary, Safaristar did an amazing job of looping us in on any relevant details of the trip, travel, accommodation , meals and kept our expectations realistic as to what we might see during the safari. This was our first safari out of our country and we left with fond, thrilling memories of the game drive and lovely stay. Roger kept us busy scouting for the Big 5 (which we were able to spot) , enjoying the dreamy African savanna, spotting the wildebeest migration and comforting us to his best capabilities. He is young and will go places in life!

Excellent experience, our guide has special eyes to find remote animals. Love wild secret team.
5/5

We just completed a 7 days camping safari with Wild Secret Safaris. not only we saw all big five animals, but we also experienced wildebeest migration. They really customised the trip to our needs and proposed an programme that did fit perfectly. We were very happy for our guide who has special cheetah eyes allowing him to spot the animal around and an rich experience of the parks. The cook tried best to make nice meals for us and really succeded, in terms of variety and quality. This is definitely an unforgettable experience.

Within the first 5 minutes we saw a hunt between a lioness and a zebra. This happened exactly as our guide was telling us that it was very rare to see a lion, and not to get our hopes up. We also had a huge male elephant walk directly by our jeep. Our guide went above and beyond to make sure we had a amazing experience. Lunch was surprisingly good. They kept marketing it as a light lunch but it was wraps, salads and fries with options to buy soda, ice cream, beer. We had a great view at lunch with giraffes and zebras. Would highly recommend!

We had the best guide Tony, cosy tents to stay in, saw a lot of animals and beautiful scenery.
5/5

The service was good and the people were always really helpful. They asked us before the tour what we wanted them to bring, like water, bananas etc. It was eight hours drive but it was possible to have open windows so it went really smooth and never went to hot. We got free lunch on the way and had several stops.

When we arrived we slept in big tents with two comfortable beds in it. We ate dinner in a tree house with view over the Nile. We ejoyed good food that was included and bought some beers since drinks was not included. When we weren’t on the game drive we relaxed and were also offered different activities for a small charge.

The safari was great and the scenery was beautiful. We didn’t get to see any lions or leopards but you can never expect that since it’s in the wild, and high grass in november. Our guide told us that it’s easier to see them while it’s dry season.

Overall we had a great experience and we can strongly recommend Mpanya safaris!

BEST experience ever! Couldn't be a happier first time visitor.
5/5

We had a FANTASTIC trip with no hiccups whatsoever as we visited 3 countries and stayed at 6 different places in 2 weeks. Kudos to our agent Walter Kohrs for ensuring we had the best experience ever! We left our hearts and minds in Botswana and Cape Town.

Walter helped me plan this trip so thoughtfully. He was detailed and articulate in giving me lots of tips(on which places to visit, immigration documentation etc), making sure I felt comfortable by always promptly responding to my emails, addressing each and every little detail and answering my bazillion questions. I was a first time nervous visitor, especially since I was traveling alone with kids but all his information helped me out a lot.

We really enjoyed our safari experiences at the lodges in Botswana. Wildlife viewing was the highlight of our trip but coming back to a cozy comfortable place to stay and eating delicious foods can't be discounted. Luxurious lodging went a long ways in giving my kids a fantastic experience they are going to treasure for life.

All our flights were on time, each and every place we had folks come receive us and drop us off on time. In Botswana- our stays at all the lodges were fabulous. Transfers between lodges were very well coordinated and executed on time. Staff at each and every lodge in Botswana and even in Victoria falls were friendly and their hospitality was remarkably professional and punctual. We loved all our guides and the kids had a blast all through out the trip.

Our safari experiences were amazing - we couldn't get enough of the wildlife and sceneries in spite of doing almost 11 safaris. We saw everything except wild dogs and leopard. In Cape Town, staff at Primi sea castle and Hylton Ross travels were awesome. I am now considering visiting some other countries in Africa that offer superior wildlife viewing and cultural experiences.

One of the most awesome experiences of my life.
5/5

Biggie made every stop fun. We saw any and every animal imaginable many times. The accommodations were excellent and the food was far better than anything we got in town.

If the opportunity arises we would most definitely use Adventure Makers and Biggie again.
