Absolutely excellent.
Our guide Ken is amazing and we totally recommend him. The tour was our first safari and with the backdrop of Kilimanjaro is stunning. Our lodge was great.

Phenomenal guide,
5/5

Our guide, Joachim Andrew, was nothing short of amazing. We was our guide for 12 days (9/1/22-9/12/22), as we traveled to 4 different camps, starting in Northern Serengeti then going to Central Serengeti and ending up in the Ngorongoro Crater. He is so knowledgeable, made us feel like family, and could spot animals so easily. For example, one day he spotted four separate leopards! We saw 4 wildebeest river crossings due to his ability to predict their movement. Every day we were amazed at what he showed us and we are not new to safaris. We will unconditionally recommend him to anyone we know going to Tanzania for safari. He exceeded all of our very high expectations.

The perfect way see all Tanzania’s trademark animal on a budget!
5/5

We really enjoyed our 5-day camping/budget lodge safari covering 4 of the main National Parks: Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. We saw all the animals we’d been hoping to, as well as some additional surprises. All the parks are special in their own way. The guides were good and the chef was fantastic and made a special effort for us since we are both vegetarian. All the booking/pre-tour communication with Brian was first class - he got back to me pretty much straight away every time. Very impressed with the value for money - the hotel accommodation was basic but comfortable and the tents were fine - they provide mattresses and sleeping bags but bring your own pillow. Beware it gets very cold at the Simba campsite at the top of Ngorongoro Crater, so bring warm layers for overnight. Unless you book a private safari you’ll be mixed with people from other groups, which was quite fun, but even if you do book a private one you’ll probably find the eating areas and campsite generally to be pretty busy.
General comments about the safari: for a first-timer it was surprisingly easy to spot animals and we had so many animal encounters that we could sometimes focus on taking photos and other times just watch and absorb. Sometimes, especially in Serengeti/Ngorongoro, you’re viewing an animal with a number of other jeeps, but Lake Manyara, although with fewer sightings provided some welcome solitude. The 5-day tour was well-paced and not a rush at all.
Would not hesitate to recommend Yetu Safaris for a 5-day budget trip.

I VISITED AMBOSELI, NAIVASHA & MAASAI MARA. I GOT THE BEST SERVICE I GOT. OUR GUIDE MR. JOSHUA WAS ALSO VERY GOOD.
ALL THE BEST TO THEM. I WILL COME BACK AGAIN.

Very well organised
5/5

I would highly recommend CKC Tours. John responded to all our queries promptly and went back and forth until we had an itinerary we were happy with. We were then met by John at the airport and given all the documentation for our trip which included lodges at Masai Mara and Amboseli and internal flights. It was all very easy and well organised. I also found it to be very competitively priced considering the service we received and the standard of accommodation.

A truly unforgettable safari made possible by Tazama Africa
5/5

From the start Antony was extremely quick with his responses to all queries and nothing was too much effort for him. We were asked to make a payment by bank transfer which I wasn’t sure about initially but after studying the Tripadvisor reviews, I decided to go for it, and I’m so glad I did.
Antony arranged for collection from the airport to the hotel the day before the safari, and then came to the hotel to meet us and on the morning of the safari before we were introduced to our guide Josphat, who made our remaining 7 days truly amazing. We cannot praise him enough. He was very polite and professional from the start. After a few days we were well acquainted and felt like we received a really personal service. He must’ve answered hundreds of questions across the seven days but he always answered with enthusiasm and exceptional detail.
Now onto the game drive. What can I say! We saw the big 5, multiple times as well as various other animals. I couldn’t believe how accessible all the animals were due to Josphat’s excellent ability to find them and also with the guides communicating their sightings on the radio.
If you visit multiple national parks, there’s quite a lot of driving between the parks so be prepared for that, but with early starts we always got to our next destination by lunch. Our route was Amboseli - Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara. My favourite lodge was Ilkeliani Camp in the Maasai Mara with an exceptional menu and really great staff. It was the perfect place to end the trip. Our lodges were Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge (rooms a little small but really nice size resort, not too many people and nicely decorated), Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (a little dated but in an elegant way. Beautiful buildings with wild zebra and deer roaming around the grounds and hippos that come close at night), Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (probably my least favourite only because it was quite a large site, but actually probably had the nicest staff, lots to do and was in a good location), and finally Ilkeliani Camp (beautiful tented camp accessed via a rope bridge. At night you can hear the hienas and birds so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. I loved how perfectly spaced each tent was so it felt really private, and most of all we loved the food there). Overall a great experience and as soon as I get the chance to return, I have no doubt that I’ll go with Tazama Africa again! Thank you!!
