An amazing choice to travel Tanzania
5/5

My name is Rubén, from Spain, and i visited Tanzania for 2 weeks with Serengoro Experience. Serengoro and his owner Yousef surpassed my expectations from the very beginning. Since day one, he made sure I had an amazing time in Tanzania, both answering my questions for months and matching my wishes making sure everything was worth it. Since the very first day to the very last day everything was worth every penny. The safaris, the extra activities, the amazing guides, the food and the accommodations made everything unbelievable. I did Kilimanjaro 7-day Machame route, Ol Donyo Lengai volcano & Lake Natron and also a safari around Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Being a solo student traveler, it's not easy to match the budget of some travelers in Tanzania, but Yousef helped out with this and he was very understanding at all times even upgrading me free of charge at some point when possible. We had constant feedback for months and i can easily recommend this legit and officially TRA registered company, which is also something worrying for travelers at first. Whether on a luxury or on a budget, Yousef will be able to match your expectations. I'd be happy to answer any questions any traveler may have.

More Than Just a Guide - A Brother and Family Friend
5/5

I cannot recommend Joseph and the team at White Plains Safari enough…By the end of the trip - he was truly a brother and family friend.

I know there are lots of options for a safari guide - Joseph and the team are “head and shoulders” above the rest - you would do well to choose White Plains for your next Kenyan adventure.

The two safari guides were very friendly and approachable. I learned a lot, had a great time, and felt very well accompanied. I'm really looking forward to doing it again.

What a wonderful experience, my first safari! The organization was perfect, our driver, Mr. David Mukami, was always punctual and helpful! The packed lunch was delicious and plentiful, a special experience!

Prepaid for tours & when cancelled would NOT provide refund nor documentation to submit to insurance

Africa Safari Concerns

Wild Horizons Zimbabwe Upon arrival, Wild Horizons Zimbabwe had no record of our reservation, causing significant confusion at the border. The driver initially dropped us at the wrong location, requiring a return trip to the correct exchange point. As a result, we lost approximately 1 hour & missed our scheduled afternoon activity. We request a full refund for this portion of the trip.

Chundu Island Our stay at Chundu Island fell below expectations:

Limited and underwhelming activities.
Repeated confusion regarding prepayment for Victoria Falls activities, despite prior confirmation.
Significant ant infestation upon arrival, resulting in multiple bites (see photos) & ants on dining utensils.
Two encounters with a bat in our room.
Unreliable hot water, allowing effectively one shower per person per stay.
Frequent boat operational issues, including collisions and a broken steering line, leading to modified excursions.
CapeTown

Dinner cruise was cancelled; we requested a full refund.
Missed opportunity to hike Table Mountain despite favorable conditions. Our requests to arrange an alternative guide were denied, causing significant disappointment.
Insurance
We purchased travel insurance through Travel Insured Intl (Crum & Forster) for $1255. Ntaba did not provide the documentation needed to submit a claim for the 4 paid activities affected by cancellations & operational mishaps. Our travel advisor, Jodi Oechsle of Krafty Travel, never submitted the claim on our behalf. We request immediate provision of the necessary documentation and clarification on why the claim was not submitted. We acknowledge and appreciate that Ntaba provided a goodwill gesture of $500 in recognition of some of the issues experienced at Chundu Island. However, this goodwill gesture did not address the four paid activities that were missed due to cancellations or operational mishaps. We request a formal response addressing each concern, along with details regarding refunds & compensation.

Professial and genuine, giving the best experience
5/5

Booking with Serengeti Cheers was the start of a wonderful adventure. Davies impressed me from the beginning with prompt response, within one hour I had 2 customised Itinerary options.

He was personable and genuinely cared about you and your experience. Time and time again, I gave Davies requests for my perfect itinerary, he never complained or said no, he always found a way. He was respectful of my budget, gave quick updates and was honest. The  accommodation and safari guide he organised were perfect!!!

He was there with his wife to personally pick me up and drop me off. When there was any issue, I did not feel worried because I knew that Davies was only 1 message away. When my flight was delayed, he did not want to leave until he was assured that I had a flight home.

You will see that this business is more then a job to Davies, he shows you hospitality of family. His wife was so sweet, she prepared traditional food for me after mentioning that I wanted to try the local food (yum!) And she even brought Serengeti Cheers merch! A safari hat 😆

Serengeti Cheers opened my heart and eyes to the beauty of Tanzania, I came for safari experience by left with an extended family.

Asante sana 🫶

The best choice for an unforgettable authentic personalised experience!
5/5

The most amazing safari trip ever
I chose Zohar African Safaris for our honeymoon because they promised a personalised touch and an authentic experience and they definitely delivered! I would highly recommend booking with this world class company.

Responsive and helpful
From the outset, I was impressed with their quick, helpful communication during the booking process. This responsiveness continued throughout the trip, starting with an introductory briefing by the delightful owner, Lilian Kramer. We decided to change one of our activities on the verge of the trip and we were presented with additional options tailored to our desires.

Superb Organisation, Special Touches
Every aspect of the trip was well planned from the length of time and ideal locations in Arusha, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, the cultural visit to the Masai village on the way back to Arusha, the luxurious accommodations, delicious meals, and special touches. I was delighted with the handwritten notes congratulating us on our marriage, the rose petals adorning the room, the personalised wine and water bottles to name a few. The sundowner was spectacular and the thoughtfulness of framing a picture of this special memory has preserved the moment forever.

Knowledgeable, Personable Guide
Our guide, Nathan, made our trip fun, informative, and memorable. Everyone we interacted with at Zohar was wonderful, but we spent the most time with Nathan and were delighted that he stayed with us throughout the trip as we developed an easy rapport. His humour and wealth of knowledge made him ideal for us, and we were delighted with his dedication to our enjoyment. We particularly enjoyed observing a lion pride set out on a hunt and then finding them successful the next morning, seeing a cheetah take down a gazelle, and seeing 6 rhinos as well as elephant families. He sought out the animals we were most interested in and supplemented his own expertise with written materials. He was a perfect guide and made our trip superb.

Luxurious Accommodations and Easy Transfers
We stayed in the Arusha Coffee Lodge, Serengeti Plains Camp, and Gibbs Farm. Each accommodation has its own special features and they were all wonderfully comfortable. Zohar has partnered with exceptional providers and we were particularly impressed with the tranquility at the Serengeti Plains Camp. Zohar arranged all transfers from the start of the trip to our departure at JRO airport so we did not have to think of anything which allowed us to switch off and connect with nature. I also appreciated the opportunity to have a shower at the Zohar office upon our return to Arusha for our departure flight after a long day.

Know before you go
It is worth wearing layers as the mornings can be cold but the place warms up during the day. The blankets in the jeep are very useful and I used a hair tie to secure mine like a cape. Pack an easily accessible change of clothes so that you can freshen up at the office before getting on your flight.
