An Unexpected Surprise
I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I loved Liwonde National Park. In fact it's one of my favorite national parks. It's truly beautiful and receives few visitors. The wildlife was also good. I saw plenty of elephants, hippos, sable,hartebeest and other wildlife. The birding was just outstanding. I was impressed by the wide range of activities available. The community was deeply involved.

Unforgettable experience thanks to super professional and friendly staff
My boyfriend and I did a 4-day safari in the Kruger National Park in April.
I do not have enough words to say how amazing it has been, I would return to South Africa immediately!
Our guide, Hoppy, did a great job: I would recommend him to everyone who wants to truly connect with nature and to come back home with an increased awareness of wildlife and an unforgettable experience in his hearth. Hoppy is very professional and always willing to satisfy the curiosity of his guests. He puts a lot of enthusiasm in his work and he is also the best in spotting animals far in the distance. I remember when we (six people) were looking at a tree using the binoculars and could not spot the bird that he saw while driving (and without binoculars)! I hope we will come back for a second and longer visit in the future!

Peter, our guide, was very knowledgeable and took good care of us. The trip was well organised by Pamela and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Even though it was not the migration season, we were able spot the 4 of the Big Five along with lots of resident animals and birds. It was worth opting for this trip, and definitely recommend Magical Retreat for all the safaris in Kenya.

Phenomenal experience that was above and beyond our expectations.
I contacted the office several times before our trip with questions and for assistance on the Visa application and always found the office staff to be very helpful. When we arrived in Nairobi we were met by our driver and guide for the week, Erastus. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and considerate of our needs and interests. The hotel accommodations and meals were all exceptional, we found everyone we met in Kenya to be friendly. We knew we were going in the rainy season and expected rain but never experienced it until the last day driving to the airport. The game drives always produced great sightings, hundreds of wonderful photographs and new understanding about the various animals, all thanks to our skilled driver.
We would highly recommend both our driver Erastus and Odyssey Safari as a whole. It was the trip of a lifetime.

Expectations met and exceeded!
When planning a holiday, I usually make all arrangements myself. This time, having never been to Africa, I used the excellent, experienced and knowledgeable services of Thierry at HS and am so grateful. Each idea we had about what we would like to see/do was fulfilled with the itinerary he suggested for us. We had a few (nearly) last minute add ons which Thierry was also able to arrange thus providing us a well rounded and worry free trip.
Right from our first greeting at Nairobi airport we were very well guided and looked after. Leonard, our safari guide throughout Kenya, was exceptional. He seemed as excited and determined as us to seek out as many animals and interesting features/sights as possible and with great success. All 3 safari lodges were unique, comfortable and well appointed and we received very friendly greetings and great service at every step. In fact the same applies to each of the hotels we encountered both in Nairobi and in Zanzibar.
One glitch when flying to Zanzibar-our flight landed in Dar es Salam instead with a 2 hour delay before proceeding to the island, thus the person who was to meet us was not there. The next day everything was back on track when I located my contact info for Zanzibar and we carried on with our itinerary. Our driver Omar even ascertained to re-imburse us for the taxi we used on our late arrival.
This was a family trip with our 2 sons (24 & 26 yrs.) and we all agree it was awesome! Thankyou Thierry and all our new friends in Africa!

Unmatched safari experience in Masai Mara
Our 3 days in Mara was our first safari in Africa and I must say it was the greatest safari we have ever had. Our contact in Kenya, James was much helpful and detailed in organizing the safari for us. He booked us accommodation in Mara where we spent for 2 nights during our safari. He and Jayson who was our guide met us at the airport before our safari. We experienced an adventure in Mara with lots of spotting wild animals such as the big five, many birds and we even visited the beautiful Masai people. We really appreciated their African culture. It was with no doubt that the safari was beyond our expectation and looking forward to coming back next time with Saunterland Africa.
