My African Safari: A journey in Tanzania with African Celebrity Tours and and Travels
5/5

Watching Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, since childhood and dreaming about Serengeti. Have always wanted to visit this destination. Once we reached there, discovered a very clean country in Tanzania with great hospitality. It was a very short tour of just 6 days with 5 complete days of game viewing. Muli and Livin of African Celebrity Tours and Travels were our contacts in Tanzania. They ensured as guests we have a detailed plan and communication about the tour and our destinations. Livin further ensured that we were able to see all the wildlife crossing Serengeti. The stay and travel was very well arranged with proper timing and support. We saw the Big 5, Livin has great knowledge about wildlife and updated us about the various quirks and was patient with us as we were randomly stopping the car to take pictures. Was delighted to see the attitude of these wild animals, it just speaks of: " Do whatever you want, we don't give a damn... This is our home." They just went on about their lifestyle, without being perturbed by the existence of humans and cars around. Untamed Africa...we also saw a lion stealthily following a herd of Thomson Gazelles and a herd of zebras to make a kill. It was fantastic. Ngorongoro is the 8th wonder of the world since, over there about 100 species of wildlife co-habit with peace. It was fantastic to see the variety in one place. My favorite though is Serengeti with endless savanna grassland, golden grass stretching far and wide and all the wildlife scattered in it. I wished to visit a Masai Village, and even though it was not on our schedule Muli and Livin squeezed it in our tour to give us that experience. I also got a Swahili hairstyle done thanks to Livin who managed to take out time for the same in a salon and asked negotiated a fair price. They make customers happy and know how to delight them with their support and care and respects their wishes. Had some great experiences, shots and videos. If you truly love nature and wildlife this is heaven. Assante Muli and Livin! This is the best holiday I have had and I will come back for the African magic again to you guys.

... everything was excellent!
5/5

I went on a one-week-long safari with my two sons, Giulia and Gian Luca. The experience has been much more than positive. The organization was perfect with no problems at all. Our guide, Elisante, was kind, careful, excellent in his knowledge of italian and english language: a really pleasant travel companion! Hope to have one day again the occasion to go on a safari with the same tour operator and the same guide.

Amazing Safari experience
4/5

We booked the 3 day Safari package in Selous. On Friday we were picked up at 9 am at our hotel. There we had to pay the rest of the Safari in cash (1000$). This is quite inconvinient, as it is hard to get so much money in Tansania (ATM charge fees and only gives out TSh, bank only gives out 800$ per day). So if you can I would recommend to get the cash in your country in advance.
The trip to Selous takes about 5-6h. Our driver ("Fun") was really nice and helpful. During the whole trip water was provided, however, for other softdrinks one would have to pay. On Friday evening we had a 2h boat safari.
Saturday was really intense. Early in the morning (6am) we had a walking safari with a native guide, which was a unique experience. Afterwards we had a Jeep safari from 9am to 5pm, which was the highlight of the whole trip. It is amazing to see all these animals in their natural habitat.
The accomodation was nice and comfortable. All food was included and comparably good.
On Sunday we were driven back to Dar es Sallam and taken directly to the ferry to Sansibar.
All in all it was a very enjoyable experience.

Excellent organisation of our tour and special support during our trip
5/5

We made a Tsavo-tour with Netherken. Everything was well prepared and also special thanks for our driver Mahmoet. We spotted a lot of animals within the first hour and also during the other game drives. Our expectations have certainly been exceeded. Not only because of this but also the special care they delivered during our tour but also after our tour because of some special experiences, we appreciated that a lot. So thanks to all.

Excellent !
5/5

I was very luck in choosing Mwendo African Safari, it was a last minute booking and have nothing bad to say. The tour went very smoothly, the staff very kind and professional, good food and comfortable transportation. It was one of the most affordable tour company in Arusha and every penny spent, worth it. Highly recommend.

Excellent safari and beach holiday
5/5

We are a family of 4 from the UK and recently stayed in the Masai Mara doing a 4 day 3 night trip followed by a stay at Diani Beach organised with Edith of Kenya Safari Arcade. The communications were excellent, she delivered as promised and accommodated changes to the booking in the build up to the holiday (we changed from a land transfer from Nairobi to air transfers). The staff on safari and the beach hotel (Basecamp Explorer & Kole Kole Baobob) where exceptional, in fact all Kenyans could not do enough for us.
We saw 4 of the big 5 (no Rhino) and masses of animals on safari and even when we got caught in the mother of all thunderstorms, our guides got us back skilfully adding to the drama of safari.
I was nervous using a tour operator I had never met but, based on a referral, we went ahead and Edith delivered fully even meeting us for a meal on our trip back through Nairobi on the way home. We could not recommend her enough.
We felt the safari first was the right option, fly to the camps if you can, do the village visit in Masai Mara and, unless you are a diving expert, you will find the snorkelling in Diana worthwhile although felt the locals do need to respect the coral better.
Overall fabulous.
