Perfect atention to details and humanity!
Joel and Novatus looked after me like a brother would do. They were welcoming, friendly and very kind since the first moment. They helped me a lot when my bag didn't arrive to the airport and I started the safari with no bag. Took me to buy some clothes and when my bag arrived they sent it to me. Last day we had a great time visiting Arusha and I felt like at home with them. Overall safari was great and our driver Hamsa and chef Joshep were great. Such a pleasure to met and be served by such an amazing team. Only thing I would change is the air company because Precision Air has so much trouble to be on time. If you change flight company I would recommend you to any of my friends and family, and if you don't I would also do it. Haha Asante Sana Rafikis. My brothers from a different mother. Keep safe and hope to see you soon. Big hug from your crazy Spanish friend.

A historically & environmentally conscious professional who provides authentic cultural experiences
We rented an apartment in a suburb of Pretoria, Lynnwood, not realizing how far away from the central city we were until we arrived. When we booked our trip, we thought we would have figure out how to get into the central part of Pretoria. To our surprise, our tour guide, Yves Albert Bompongo, arrived at our TotalStay apartment promptly at the time promised, and we did not have to venture into the city center. Before we started our tour, he gave us a thorough overview of what how our itinerary will be for the day. He was kind and considerate of my 75 year old traveling partner's limitations, and made adjustments to satisfy her needs, while allowing me to experience the tour to the fullest. As we drove from Lynnwood through Gauteng region, Albert described the history, current political realities, culture, and traditions, and we drove by different landscapes observing people, flora and fauna. I ventured into the Bothongo Wondercave in Kromdraai, which had stalactites and stalagmites. The preserve has chalets, logs cabins, 2 restaurants, 2 cafes, a shebeen, and a game viewing deck. We observed springbok, ostrich and wildebeest. At the Lesedi Cultural Village, we saw a movie about how African people migrated from Ethiopia to South Africa over time. We learned about the history, cultural and traditions of the Zulu, Pedi, Based, Xhosa and Ndebele as we wandered through the Cultural Village. The ultimate experience was the entertainment by the different ethnic groups, and the wonderful lunch that we had where we could sample different traditional foods. After the visiting the Village, we toured the Cradle of Humankind in Maropeng. We had such an incredible day with Albert, that we booked his for a tour the next day. The following day, he took us into Pretoria to see the Union Building, the official headquarters of the government of South Africa before we headed to the Lion & Safari Park. We saw lions, impalas, blue cranes, hyenas, cheetahs, African wild dogs, giraffe, etc. Since we did not have time to venture to Kruger National Park, this was an awesome way to see some of the wild life. This was an incredible value for the money we paid. Albert was attentive, professional, flexible, historically and politically astute, humorous, and well-known and respected every where we went. It was a pleasure to be traveling with him. We felt safe and well taken care of. Thank you!

Incredible experience
I booked a six-day safari, which included three nights in a tent, and a one-day trek to Materuni Waterfall directly with Meru Slopes and I can only express an extremely positive opinion.
The organisation was impeccable, with easy and clear communication with Gift, who was always helpful and reliable.
Our exceptional guide Robert, with his 12 years of experience, and Buga, the cook, made the safari truly special. Both took care of every need with great professionalism.
The experience was truly unforgettable, full of emotions and unique moments.
We also had the opportunity to visit a Maasai village, an experience I highly recommend.
Nixon, who accompanied me to the waterfall trek and to the hot springs, was also extremely helpful and friendly.
Punctuality and customer care were constant throughout the trip.
Small tip for those going on safari: take a torch and toilet paper.
I recommend, even for solo travellers, without a doubt Meru Slopes for any adventure or attraction in the Arusha region.
Many thanks to the entire Meru Slopes team for making this experience so special!

Unforgettable experience!
I had one of the best experiences in my life - as nature and animal lover. The tour was organized very well - as a budget tour all the accommodations, food, transport was very well planned.
Our guide Francis did fantastic job - his driving skills, knowledge and experience was what made the whole safari unique and memorable. He was always flexible towards our preferences, made sure we are at the right time at the right spot and that everything is alright for us.
We saw the big 5 and we were all more than happy with the whole trip!
If you decide to book a tour with Jocky, make sure to ask about trip with Francis, (they have quite few guides). Thank you!
Will surely be back!

Perfectly planned and executed with the best people.
I'll admit, it seemed a bit strange booking this trip having never spoken to anyone over the phone and hearing a human voice, but I did not need to worry. Amelia from Red Africa was quick to respond with any questions and was very helpful. We received our itinerary about a week before we left home(Colorado, USA) and everything looked planned out in a way that put me at ease.
Jaco picked my wife and I up on time in a clean, well kept VW Transporter that was very comfortable over the next five days. Jaco was exactly person I wanted guiding us on this trip. He's genuinely interested in the natural world, extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and a good cook a well. Within an hour of leaving Johannesburg we had already seen white rhino, buffalo, and ostrich in the wild.(outside of a fuel station no less haha) That set the tone for an experience that is once in a lifetime... but we'll be back.
We opted for a five day trip with the first two days on the Panorama Route. I would highly recommend this as Graskop Gorge and Moholoholo are something very special. Moses at Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre is a wonderful personality, and the work they do is incredible. The Blyde River Canyon and surrounding area is also a breathtaking place that I would not want to miss now that I've seen it. The accommodations were extremely nice as well. Dinner was prepared outside by the hotel the first night, and Jaco cooked a great meal for us outside our condo at Moholoholo the next night.
At the end of the third day, we made it to Skukuza rest camp at Kruger National Park. On the very first guided tour that night, we saw wild dogs, leopards, elephant, giraffe, and many other amazing creatures. That trend continued for the next two days. All of the big five were spotted, but don't get caught up in that. There is so much to see and you are almost always left in awe, even just walking back to camp from the safari van or outside the restaurant at camp.(the restaurant is also better than it has any right to be inside a national park) The accommodations at Skukuza were exactly what I needed as well. I don't really care for sleeping on the ground, but I also don't need a five star hotel necessarily. This was perfect.
All of the drives through the park & the bush walk were excellent, but if Jaco asks if you want to go on a drive through the park with him, absolutely go. That was my favorite part of the trip. He is an endless source of knowledge for the area and still seems genuinely excited about it even after doing it for so long. We were able to stop and see some of the things sometimes passed by on the other tours. This is not a mark against them either as they have to be efficient for everyone on board.
After a tour of a lifetime, Jaco dropped us with Trevor who took us back to Johannesburg. We were exhausted, but Trevor had us laughing the entire trip back. It was a great way to end the trip.
Some other notes:
If you are the type of person that needs a day to relax by the pool, you should book more than three days in Kruger itself. There is not much down time especially if you want to see as many things as possible. My only regret is not booking a seven day trip with five days in Kruger. The second part of our trip was out of Cape Town, so we had to sacrifice a couple days of Kruger. With that said, everything went like clockwork. It was very impressive.
Get cash so you can tip. We should have done more research, but tipping normal in South Africa. In a lot of situations, you won't just be able to tip on a credit card.
If you can bring binoculars, definitely do so. I had a bag of camera gear, but my wife use the binoculars the entire time. She was really happy we brought them.
I highly recommend Red Africa and will be sending many friends their way.

I contacted Jungle Empire Africa for a day excursion to Nairobi National Park, the Elephant Orphanage, and the Giraffe Center, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Benson Kungu, the tour director, was highly responsive to my inquiry and ensured that everything was handled professionally and efficiently.
The tour itself was seamless and enjoyable. Benson guided me through Nairobi National Park with great expertise, providing detailed explanations and ensuring I had a memorable safari experience.
