Safari in Tanzania with SoT
5/5

10 of us went to Tanzania. While the country and the people are amazing, our safari experience was made
so much better thanks to Soul of Tanzania. This is a great set up - very organised, very hospitable and very knowledgeable.
We did Kili, Ngorongoro,Serengeti and Zanzibar. It was magical thanks to SoT.

Exciting game drive in beautiful Mikumi national park
4/5

Family of 4 went on å tre day trip, we slept inside the park. Communications and service was exellent. We were well taken care of from the first contact and during the hole trip. The food was simple but good and we got to see a lot of animals like lion, giraffe , elephant m.m . Our guide had great skills and we felt safe and learned a lot. We will like to come back another time and do it again !

About: Tanzania
Excellent, we really loved it = ).

We can recommend the safari, it was really amazing how close you get the animals, we saw leopards and lions mating and cheetah with pubbies etc. Easily saw a lot of animals and of course Big Five. We had the budget safari sleeping in tents and the own cook with us, it very nice and all the personnel were very nice. We have visited many other national parks, but still amazed how close you can get the animals in Tanzania. We are already planning the new trip. We also visited Zanzibar, lovely beaches. Next time Kilimanjaro, safari and the beaches again. We just loved it!

About: Kenya
Better than expected

Wildlife: Low season but big amount and diverse wildlife. We just missed a wildebeest herd river crossing. And we didn't see leopard. But everything was outstanding.
Weather: Pleasure weather little bit chilly early morning.
Accommodations / Food: Extraordinary
Transport: It was ok. Long travel time, bumpy roads and big traffic especially near the capital but not bad.
Guide: Extraordinary partner, educated, informative, funny, reliable, flexible.

Was tremendous experience, accomodation and safari in General.
5/5

Immediately we arrived in Kenya we were constantly in communication with Dickson. He kept his promise whenever he talked to our contact person.
We were picked up in Mai mahiu transit point, while waiting we were given breakfast,Dickson catered for all this.
Our driver/tourguide he was a patient and funny guy.He was straightforward in his communication. Because of climate change my partner got sick, our tourguide made all the necessary arrangements that we wont miss anything,he organised that we went to maasai village.
During safari our tourguide drove us nearly everywhere so that we could be able to see the big five.We got the chance to experience wildebeests crossing over, nice experience.
I will recommend this company to everyone. Thank you Dickson!

Great Safari but Problematic Management
2/5

The safari, in and of itself, was great. Our accommodations were good, our driver/guide George was fantastic, and the parks were unbelievable. The only negative about the safari itself was there was too much driving -- no matter what company you use you should confirm driving times before signing up.

My gripe is with how our safari was managed:

1 -- The order of parks that we visited was switched last minute and without my approval. I found this out after I sat down in the jeep on the first day. This is totally unacceptable. James and I even discussed this option months before and decided against it. This is bordering on breach of contract.

2 -- James's communication left something to be desired. At first, James was super prompt, always responding within a day. As we closed in on the trip, he took multiple days to reply to different questions, and when I asked the name of our driver he didn't bother replying. This all left me sketched out and worried that we were being scammed.

There's too many safari operators out there to bother with a company like this one...

Excellent service.
5/5

We visit Kenya every year to run free dental clinics (we also gave out reading glasses this year). We had arranged for James to provide transport from Nairobi to Elburgan (40 minutes from Nakuru). He arrived early and the trip was safe & comfortable. James was helpful and polite and his English was excellent. He also organised a 3 day trip to the Massia Mara. The guide/driver David was excellent, the whole trip amazing and the stay at Ashnil tented camp superb ( it was a canvas bungalow, with 4 poster bed, a lovely en-suite, electricity, excellent restaurant and the staff were superb. Sat in the evenings around the lovely wood fire pit watching the hippos in the river).

Would thoroughly recommend both James and the safari trip.

The dream came true
5/5

A fantastic trip all together! I contacted several tour agencies and i choose Hekima Safaris as they were very helpful and flexible when it came to organising the trip. They were very prompt in answering all my questions which was very important as i was planning the trip in a hurry. Our guide Ema was very respectful of the animals and at the same time made alot of effort to find all the animals we wanted to see

Hekima will make sure you'll have an unforgettable experience!
The Jeep for safari is very comfortable . Our guide Emanuel brought us to beautiful places and knew exactly what we wanted to do and see!
If you wish to get the safari of your dreams, I would recommend Hekima to make your dreams come true!

Hop to see you guys again

JAMAS LO OLVIDARE
5/5

I’d like to thank specially to Belen, since the first day we met her at Fitur, she has been kind, resourceful and very helpful, and the main responsible for us doing this trip.
Secondly, since the moment we landed Kilimanjaro, we have been attended in a fantastic way by Rama our guide during the safari. He is an attentive man, friendly, knowledgeable and absolutely hard working and smart person. When others were turning back, he kept looking on a search for more animals and sightings. We counted up to 2 different species, not counting birds! Amazing!
Thirdly, to mention the accommodation were al fantastic, very good quality in terms of rooms and food, also the kind treatment from the staff.
Our suggestion is maybe the picnics could have a bit more of variation, since most of the days it had chicken.
We want to thank you for an amazing trip that we will never forget and will remain in our memories and hearts forever.
We hope to be in contact with you again for another destination. Thank you!!

Excellent In Every Way
5/5

This is the second trip to Southern Africa that I have used Giltedge Travel and Robyn-Lea Meyer as my travel agency and agent. I cannot speak highly enough about this company and the service I received from the beginning stages of planning to the end of the trip. All questions and comments were responded to in a very timely fashion. Since this travel agency is based in Cape Town, it knows the southern Africa area and can develop the perfect vacation for you. Pom Pom Capo was recommended while we were in the Okavanga Delta and it was perfect. We moved onto the Victoria Falls Safari Camp in Zimbabwe where Robyn-Lea had booked us a dinner cruise and a Boma dinner. Wonderful! Victoria and Alfred Hotel in Cape Town has the best location on the waterfront and the service there cannot be beaten. We ended at Jock Safari Lodge in Kruger National Park which is a five star lodge in the middle of the bushveld. Without Robyn-Lea's knowledge and guidance, we never could have booked a trip like this on our own. Every transport was on time and the guides that were hired for private tours were fantastic. Would I use this agency again? Absolutely! The trip I took in 2015 and then again in 2019 were perfect without one problem. Giltedge Travel is the agency to use for African travel.
